Oof! This mangled my heart. I am little disappointed in the ending, but I like that it doesn't give you everything you want. I am just happy to live in modern times and not be at the whim of tyrant kings.
Wtf is wrong with the writing of this ML seriously ? Is he arrogant or a self pitying dude with low self-esteem…
I agree. There were some eyebrow raising lines coming from him that made me wonder whether JingJing had made up this fantasy of Yu Tu, but never really knew him well enough in school. He was extremely arrogant and I also blanched at the "It didn't occur to me to return your love" line. WTF? Part of me hoped the writing would have her take the rose colored glasses off and see him for who he really was--arrogant and self-absorbed, but they chose to make everyone and everything as conflict free as possible. Even JingJing could have been written as a self-absorbed and spoiled actress who is changed by love, but I guess this show's star is really Yang Yang.
okay I just wanna know one thing. does she ever fight her mom? like does she ever have a “bitch let me do my…
Yes. There is a scene where she basically cuts off all ties and even breaks the family photo. It was epic. But then the writers gave the mom a redemption arc and that lasted all of 5n minutes.
Am I the only one who didn’t give this drama a 9 or 10? I love the leads but I just can’t get into the drama.…
I gave it at 7.5. I rarely give dramas a 10. A drama really has to be outstanding in every aspect for me to give a review like that. I almost dropped it after 10 episodes because it was incredibly slow and I didn´t see how our leads would get together when they barely saw each other. They seemed to dislike each other and I was losing hope. I am happy I stuck with it, but there were plenty a implausibilities that kept me from rating it any higher.
The mom is one of my most hated Cdrama characters of all time. Xu Qin's mother is truly top tier evil and deserved…
Agreed. I felt it during the scene where they're driving away after Xu Qin had just broken it off with Song Yan. She was inconsolable and her mother´s face registered no empathy whatsover. I knew right then that the woman was evil beyond redemption, so seeing her get a second chance really set me off.
Well, I am on episode 8 and I am enjoying the story so far. At first I was disappointed that the FL was switched, far-fetched as it was, but it seems to be working.
So, it sounds like a lot of key characters were recast. Should I bother with this? I liked Go, Go Squid but didn't love it. I liked the original actors who played Grunt and Appledog, so I am not sure I am going to enjoy them being recast with different characters. The main vibe I am getting is that the chemistry was different. Maybe just watch the episodes Yang Zi is in?
Wondering why they have decided to split this into two season? Doesn't seem like there was much more drama to continue except for resolving relationship, villain, and wrap up.
Thanks for reporting on this LA, you're great.Anyone who says otherwise is, of course, a cretinous narcissist,…
