I feel Season 1 is the only one worth watching in terms of story. It was thought provoking and the character development and depth were worth the watch. You find yourself rooting for the characters as the horrors they endure bring them together and force them to become a family. Unfortunately, it goes downhill in seasons 2 and 3 because most of the characters you grew to care for disappear or are killed off until there is no one left to care about. The plot and lore become a messy, directionless ride and it just disappoints. It was a shame. I would definitely rewatch the first season, but I would stop there.
While CX and Jing may have seen it as 'winning' XY, for Xiang Liu it wasn't about possessing XY.I think Xiang…
I agree. Two people whose hearts are connected, but can't be together, is so much more alluring. They can love and long for each other but remain apart. After all, they might find each other in the next life.
Cang Xuan is getting on my nerves. He clearly know that XY consider him as her brother. He also know that XY loves…
Because CX wants to recapture the happiness he felt with XY when they were children and they had no one else but each other. He loves her dearly, but it's a selfish love he isn't willing to share. She will never see him as anything more than a brother and the grandfather has already warned him about not trying to cage her in if he wants her to keep loving him. My heart aches for him because he's got it bad, but it's not healthy.
Man, I am loving this! It's like reuniting with long lost friends. I love all of her guys because they are all so into her that it makes it hard to choose. Performances are, once again, first rate. Let the broodfest begin!
It was sweet watching these guys bonding in a totally conflict free atmosphere, but I just couldn't get into it. This was great for the friends, but it didn't really need to be filmed.
I am on episode 32 and one thing that I would have liked to have seen more of is the tempestuous exchanges between Jiang Li and SYR. Even though she was setting him up at the party, I feel it all happened too fast. I could have done with more exchanges where he admits his frailties, guilt and believe it or not, love, while she got more opportunities to torture him. It makes sense because she was in love with him, and within her right to hurt him anyway she could. I could see him accepting everything she threw at him until she was ready to cast the net. The few scenes between them were borderline passionate and I wanted to see more clashing. If any of you were writing this, how would you have handled it?
