On episode 23 and I am really enjoying it. What a wonderful actor Xu Kai is. He gives such interesting and nuanced performances. This is my second drama watching him in the lead, the first was Best Choice Ever and he was great in that. Looking forward to watching more of his dramas. Which should I watch next?
This mom is killing me. Even for an abusive and controlling person, she is way over the top. There is a lot of my mom in her, but this lady takes it to a whole different level.
Some of the character's decisions and behaviors didn't make sense but I believe that truth is stranger than fiction.…
I didn't like that as it left little to the imagination. We all expect main leads will have a long and happy life together when the drama endings are happy. I just wasn't expecting to be spoon fed so much.

@ivybisI agree with you.Loved reading @shinnsuke_lee review. So detailed and well defended with evidence (reminds…
I was a theater major in college and our homework was to see a play and turn in a fair review with examples supporting our observations. While I am not the best reviewer, I can hold my own, and I can definitely spot a great one when I see it. In scene study, we took apart an acting scene and had to be ready to give an answer when our drama teacher called on us. Usually, we had to say what we didn't think worked in the scene and why. Those of us who have studied theater performance understand that it can always be better and we never consider ourselves above constructive critiques. I prefer solid, honest reviews to gushy fangirl rants masquerading as reviews. Had we turned in that type of homework, a failing grade would have followed.
Can’t we just have episode 2 as a whole series, please? Or a movie? Please…! My problem with this series is…
He has a brief cameo in episode 3, so I think they are purposely doing that as a transitional device. At first I did a double take, but then saw his hearing aid and thought it was cool. I took time off between episodes 1 and 2, so I don't know what the transitional moment was for those.
Excellent and fair review. Exactly how I felt about this drama. Its strength was in the first rate performances of the supporting characters and its weakness lies in the lazy writing and overused tropes. It is a sad day when you have to put a disclaimer in a review because you will be attacked by those who can't let others have their own opinions. Best wishes and keep up the great reviews.
He did a wonderful job as the villain Eun Sung. If he was getting hate and threats on the Internet, it's because he was that believable in his role. I would also like to see him to a different character so he doesn't get typecast as a villain. No one wants to keep getting hate from netizens. Bravo!
It might not be true but beating people up for 90 fuckimg mi utes is not a mistake its animalistic cruelty. So…
@ Kpaneno Quit projecting nonsense and stick to the topic. I call bs because it just creeps up online 20 years after the fact? If it happened then the right thing to do is get the authorities involved and have it taken care of. You don't accuse someone over the internet and try to ruin their career. Bullying is prevalent in schools because ppl don't know how to behave. It's also prevalent on social media. That's what this accuser is doing. Your comment also qualifies.
I don't understand why South Korean celebrities aren't allowed to have private lives and make mistakes like everyone…
I guess we will just have to agree to disagree and what is considered objectionable. But it seems there is an unwillingness to separate the artist from the art itself. YAI is a character in the show, not YAI himself. If his personal issue erases him from the show, that means a denial of livelihood as a consequence. The piece is now skewered for the sake of punishment and everyone gets an altered vision. We all lost.
I hear that dating scandals are a big thing in SK. How is wanting to date someone a scandal? Why do celebrities need to hide and why are netizens so rabid about it? I know this is a bit off-topic, but it's similar in nature--this need to control through negative PR. I read that some Chinese netizens wanted to start a petition online to keep a Chinese actor from getting a particular part simply because they didn't he/she would be right in the role. Since when do netizens dictate what an artist creates? They can choose to either support it or not, but to actually go so far as run this celebrity's life? Do netizens consider themselves that high and mighty? I am thinking the internet is not a healthy outlet for people. It's making people into monsters.

Thank goodness that in my society, instead of ostracism, we try to rehabilitate those with drug addictions. The ones who do go to jail, serve their time and continue working once free. Erasing their work doesn't help anyone and deprives the world of the art. I hope the series is complete on Netflix. But I will still watch to support the other actors involved whose work I respect.
I really respect your talent. I have been a fan since Secret Love Affair. I was blown away by your fine performance. Looking forward to seeing more of your work soon! Be well!

Erasing someone's work is not consequence. That's cancellation. Jail time is an appropriate consequence for drunk driving. Drug addiction requires intervention. Cancellation is harassment.
