I don't know the details since i only read the translated ones but my friend who read the raws told me that the main character gets away with everything so he doesn't die or go to jail for all he did (literally a serial killer).
I find that unique for the genre and an interesting and good ending

I mean its possible she won't be a student to begin with but a normal officer or maybe she has something to do with the case where he lost his eye so takumi and gakky's story might overlap but we will see.

I wouldn't even call that fully a revenge he literally got away with horrible things by faking mental illness when he should get life sentence or death penalty and even has a girl by his side still at the end and will eventually be released some day so although he did win his factory back and whatever I still consider this drama among the bad guy wins somehow category

I would consider this a bad guy wins situation since his revenge wasn't really THAT bad he didn't even go to jail and faked his way into a mental institution which he will probably get out of eventually and he even has a girl lmao
and honestly I liked it better that way since do woo was my favorite character and i liked how charismatic and cunning he is and this ending makes him even more so ( especially with that last smile it was an amazing shot )

I miss him I hope we see him in another work soon

honestly watched this for kang woo and the villain was the only character interesting enough to me to care about. he really shined here
