I’m so happy with these 2 as the leads and seeing a swap of new owner, experienced human manager - it makes a nice role switch up from the original drama. Also so happy this Grim Reaper is playing a larger role here. He was one of my favourite side characters in the OG series - so I’m excited to see what Lee Soo Hyuks grim reaper character is like.
I’m genuinely interested to know if people prefer the dynamic of Enaga and Chiaki or AE and Chiaki! Because I am way more a fan of the cuteness and awkwardness of Enaga and Chiaki - but I want to know how in the minority I am. (I know they’re the same person, but they’re also so different!!!)
I’ve heard so many people complain about the lack of chemistry between the leads in this but I don’t agree at all! I 100% feel their chemistry - and I’m obsessed with their dynamic. I’m loving everything about this!!!
This was so good! Great plot, great characters, editing and games -I didn’t see that ending coming either. I do wish we could’ve seen more of the final games, but I get that there was only 8 episodes! I really had a good time and now there needs to be a season 2!!!
I loved it so much! it was a 10/10 for me. The family storylines are really strong and you’ll find someon in the family to root for - but I’d say it’s pretty equal to the romances in terms of screen time. I loved the romance, the side couple was the cutest most adorable little youth love story ever! Then for the main couple their dynamic definitely involves some bickering and mind-games, but really it’s about 2 broken people healing together, but I know a lot of people have an issue with the romance because they don’t believe a certain peron in the relationship is being genuine at the start… if you feel that way I’d say stick with it.
On Keens live he was saying he thought they’d maybe get 100K tweets at the very end of the series. So the fact they reached 203K for episode 1 and trended number 1 in 8 countries is crazy to him. He said that he’s afraid because he doesn’t know if they will be able to maintain their trending success like this! And he’ll feel bad if it drops. Aw!
heard that it’ll be postponed until February 25th is that true?💀
I have only heard the mourning period will last for 30 days - so by November it will be over, but the content rule was added on later so I assume the production companies are currently unsure if their pause will be for the full 30 days or shorter.
Fomt judge me but this is kind of my favourite first episode to a GMMTV drama for a little while… I like both couples dynamics and feel they were set up really well and the chemistry is good! I’m genuinely desperate for more! I feel this (like Only Boo and MuTeLuv Hi By) will probably fly under the radar, but will be really really good and a personal favourite of mine.
another episode is another week of feeding my delusions that Chet and Bodyguard Park are deeply romantically in love… their messed up toxic “I would kill for you” codependency is stealing the series for me!
One thing that I really love is that every episode there is a potential conflict, that in most BLs would be the catalyst for the lead characters to break up, but instead every conflict they’ve faced so far in season 2 has if anything made them a stronger couple! I do that that will change - they will break up at some point I assume, but I love that so far that has not been the case, it’s be the opposite!
I know that DMD kept telling us that Next Prince has so much money put into it. They were definitely betting on that to be their biggest hit of the year, but then came along a cast of rookie pairings and they absolutely killed it and now Khemjira has to be the most widely beloved and successful Thai bl of 2025.
Now this is over I can say with certainty that My Golden Blood has won as my favourite GMMTV vampire series this year. I think I found that Revamp was sometimes confused with the tone that it was going for, whereas My Golden Blood was campy to the max and I feel everyone embraced that! But I feel like all of the supporting cast was so so brilliant in Revamp. Just the story of the leads wasnt that engaging to me and as I said the tone felt off, but that’s just my preference - I’m sure so many others preferred ReVamp.
the leads said in a couple interviews they want to be on the list for Japans best tv kisses this year and I think after the last episode they need to be at the very top of that list!!!
I love that they waited till the penultimate episode to learn Aoms story. I think it’s worked really well to wait till now! I think it’s done a really job and letting us get to know the characters. The only character that I feel we don’t know very well is Pie - she’s only motivated by her love for her boyfriend which I think is a little weak. I also wish we could see some balance to Don because he’s so unlikeable, Benz has ended up having very likeable moments - just a bad choice in a friend, but overall I think they’ve done a really good job at introducing us to 8 lead characters with backstories AND intense games in only 8 episodes.

This is one of my favourite things airing at the moment - I do not stop smiling the who way through.
