I really hope this doesn’t start filming this month. It’s my most anticipated series to come, but after hearing what Junior said at the concert, he really needs a break and some time before starting a new series. Burnout is real and he’s clearly struggling, I just want my faves to be okay more than anything else.
ohhhh! I just love this so much! it’s ridiculously cute! the movie theatre scene killed me with their cuteness! Im already kind of sad this is only 8 episodes!
I’m actually really pleasantly surprised by Ping in this role. After watching him previously I never thought he suited the “cutsie” “silly” roles he was cast in, but here he’s pretty serious and he’s actually really believable.
Also I can defo see some inspiration from Challengers in the tennis scenes - from certain angles to the music, which I like. And Chic is making a couple interesting shot choices outside of the tennis scenes - which keep it visually interesting - After ep2 I’m still liking this more than I thought I would.
This should be the next Saturday release - they tend to release the series with some of the highest pilot trailer views on Saturdays. Also this by far has the most Qs at 27 - followed only by Love & Gangsters on 17Qs or Oxytoxin with an unknown number of Qs - but I think they'll spread the GLs out a little more. Scarlet Heart is finished filming too, but I've heard them say that will have a long post-production timeline. So unless we are getting re-runs (on a Saturday which would be a bit weird) or Love & Gangsters I don't really see what else it could be. And Love & Gangster still kind of taking its time with it's Qs where as You Maniac has done a lot in a row recently. Maybe I'm being delusional, but I have faith its this.
i don’t know why this took me so long to watch this - I was watching BLs back when this was airing - I love it so much! I knew there was a fantasy element but I didn’t know about the game. It adds an awesome whole other layer. Also it’s fun to see Jackie and Third here now that they’re part of GMMTV and I’m sure I’ll be seeing them in more projects moving forward.
I just rewatched this for the first time since May and I loved it even more than the first time. I am going to have to change my rating for 9.5/10 to 10/10
I had to keep pausing ep9 because I would get so disgusted and angry. It’s been a long time since a series has made me so mad! i have to say well done to all the villains - they’ve played their parts perfectly! I already knew Fuaiz is talented but he still surprises me in every series he’s in.
I have had 1 minute Sangnuea and Naphitch and they are everything to me! Their chemistry was crazy! I can’t wait for their series, but I need more of them in this!!!!
Seven series I’m watching are ending within the next seven days but this is the one I’m by far the most heartbroken about! I’m going to miss my sons so much!!!
A Q is a full days of shooting the series. The total number differs per director and number of episodes per series, but I think we should be getting close to the end now. The Directors previous work, Duang With You was about 42Qs - I think as there's a little more to MrFanboy - in terms of locations and larger scale moments it'll be a few more Qs than Duang With You, but not over 60Qs like Khemjira was.
this was such a cute first ep! I loved it! I agree it’s kind of giving the vibes of My School President with the aesthetic of Boys in Love! I love a little friendship found family group at the centre of a series. Also I love that the background music is a lot more 2000s rock inspired than the usual pop music in highschool romcoms as that’s Lees genre he plays.
no - and I don’t think they will - which I’m happy about considering their ages, but I didn’t know what else to call it… “the lead up to an almost first kiss” ?
this is basically director Chic making the romance version of his bromance series Mr Kill. He’s done an incredible job with Mr Kill - I’m so excited to see what he’ll do with this!!!
