A lot of Japanese BLs write poor female characters, but there are rare dramas that come along that have amazing female characters that are so awesome they almost make me forget the bad ones! I really liked the female character this episode followed - other great written female characters are in “Cherry Magic” and “Minatos Laundromat series 1”!
I didn’t love the reveal… it felt quite underwhelming almost when I was expecting my mind to be blown. still an incredible production, fantastic acting with such a unique look and feel to even season 1. I think I prefered the story of season 1, but this was awesome - just the finale was a little underwhelming. I would love a season 3 though.
it’s crazy to me that this isn’t the biggest series airing currently! The level of this is incredible, but there are so so many people saying it’s not for them. When this is highest all round quality I’ve seen from a Thai series - how is that not so many people’s thing! I’m losing my mind every episode!
Natsuo is over here breaking my heart! I want nothing else bad to happen to him! he has been through enough! let him be happy!!! I know the confrontation scene is coming - I’m just not ready for it!
this was so adorable! Pure cuteness and fluff! I totally can see that this is by the same director/screenwriter as Only Boo! I do agree that I’d expect this sort series and plot to be for a series starring GMMTV rookies, but I’m liking getting to see OffGun in this genre again! Also Aungpo is soo adorable in this - such a cutie pie! I want to see him have a more substantial role like in this - happy he’ll be in 2 series this year!
wow! this is sooo good! I have to be honest the trailer didn’t interest me - there was so much going on, but it’s so so good now I’ve actually started it!!!
I really loved this series. It’s a pretty solid 9/10 for me, but it had all the right ingredients to be a 10/10 - the acting is top tier, the music was incredible and it was shot beautifully. I just really wish that they had focused on the relationship of the band as a whole rather than the romantic plots - there are 1 or 2 moments of them bonding and they are some of my favourite. I also found that the most interesting characters to me were Sho and Toya - I loved Sho’s character and felt he was the heart of the band (although I think Akane and Naoki were supposed to be?) I really wanted to see him interacting with the other band members individually more because his relationship with Naoki was so layered - I wanted to see more of him with the others. Also I just want a whole separate series about Toya and his little gay codependent band of 2. Has to be one of my favourite characters of the year.
I am currently watching Vice Versa. Lol I am liking that series a lot . 😭😭
everyone I know loved it - I really wish I did. I don’t know what it is about that directors work, but I always get so excited by his series trailers and then let down with the actual series, but everyone else loves them - so it’s definitely just a me problem- I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
I’m so sorry to say that after Vice Versa I thought that I would never be a JimmySea fan, there was zero chemistry for me in that series, but then their chemistry in Last Twilight was incredible and now in this it’s at the same level maybe even better. I am such a huge fan of JimmySea now.
(I’ve realised that for some reason the director of Vice Versa, X, consistently makes BLs I weirdly feel no chemistry in. I don’t why, because everyone else loves the couples in his series!)
This is coming from someone who hasn’t read the source material, but I’m actually really liking this. Even its ridiculous revenge plot (but I’ve just watched and loved Revenge Love and this revenge plot makes way more sense than that one!) - I like these characters, I love the black cat and golden retriever couple trope. I am sure from others reviews that if the source material is as good as they’re saying I would also be very let down with there being so many changes, but I haven’t read it yet and in the mean time - I’m enjoying it.
this has such a weirdly paced plot - feels like everything plot-wise is moving so so fast, but then some things are moving strangely slow. I’m having fun with it and it is cute with some good chemistry, just very weirdly paced.
was so surprised to see Ikuo in the first episode! I love that “The Boyfriend” boys are showing up in some dramas, with Ikuo here and Dai in the other drama currently airing
who knows when this will actually come. Scarlet Heart is filming later than expected (we still don’t even know when it will start) and it has 60Qs - that’s a lot especially with that casts schedule. for this to have to wait to film when that’s done, it’s gonna be a while! It’s been a year since My Love Mix Up ended… I hope we won’t have to wait another whole year for Ticket To Heaven, but it’s looking possible. I need to become a bigger fan of pairings that are more booked and busy with series together.
Yes! 8 would be so much better, than the 4 episodes that IG account that dropped all episode counts for aupcoming series (and has been right so far) said there was going to be.
this was a brilliant first episode! I’ve found I’ve felt that with the recent domundi dramas they start off really strong and then go downhill in their second half - I really hope this stays strong the whole way through!!!
Mek and Dech are everything to me! I love how they’ve grown together and help each other in the small ways that they can! I’ve always liked AouBoom and the characters they’ve played, but these 2 have to be my favourites so far. Fantastic slowburn, when I feel recently GMMTV in particular has gotten into the habit of insta-love or super-quick romantic development. GreatInn have great chemistry and their characters are experiencing this epic romance, but their characters in this just aren’t the type I personally gravitate towards. They are so good and perfect - I like my characters just a tiny bit more imperfect and more messy. But as I said that’s just my personal preference, they are still delivering with their acting!
I’m sad to be letting my faves go early, but I feel like we’ve been through so much emotional turmoil with this series! I’m so happy we are actually making it to the end!
Also Aungpo is soo adorable in this - such a cutie pie! I want to see him have a more substantial role like in this - happy he’ll be in 2 series this year!
