what would people reccommend for fans of this? I’ve been watching Asian dramas for over 7 years now and only finished 5 cdramas in that time - I’ve ended up dropping more than I finish. And I’ve only really really loved one of those 5 dramas (the romance of tiger and rose). But Hidden Love is just incredible it’s so hard to stop watching - it’s one of my favourite dramas I’ve seen for a long long time - since I’m guessing these comments are filled with cdrama fans - I’m wondering what some of you guys favourite cdramas are. They don’t have to be the same genre as this - I’d love some fantasy rec’s too - just want some where you guys felt the leads have great chemistry.

Really not sure this is happening anymore - they said summer 2023 and they’ve not even started preproduction. And I’m pretty sure of the 3 trailers the production company dropped this one had the least views and looked like it would have the highest budget. Then adding on to that the other series made by the company really failed to gain attention and people didn’t review them too well - it’s sad because the plot seems so unique - it looked like a proper sci-fi BL and I really wanted to see Tonnam finally as the male lead in a BL - and it was a serious and traumatised character- so different from what he usually plays - maybe one day it’ll happen.

Episode 7 had me properly crying. This was meant to be my light, cute drama that I could pay half attention to, but here I am so obsessed and it’s kind of my favourite drama I’m watching right now- It’s everything to me.

I started this a few days late and I decided I’d only watch 1 episode a day to really spread it out, but oh my goodness! it’s so hard not to just binge all the other episodes out currently! I need strength, but this drama is too perfect. Every episode I just fall deeper and deeper in love with all these characters.

my usual issue with cdramas is that the girl always falls in love with a guy who’s a jerk to her and continues to chase him no matter how mean he is to her - and it just never usually works for me. But here it’s the opposite - DJX is the most adorable, thoughtful, sweet and caring guy - I would totally fall in love with him if I was Sang Zhi! it’s making this drama so cute!

Milk and Love said in a recent interview that 23.5 is expected to air at the end of this year or very beginning of next year - that’s way too long for me!

woah! this is so so good! I’m not really a cdrama fan - I’ve finished 5 in the 5 years I’ve been watching Asian dramas, but this is giving me everything I want. Their chemistry is amazing and I just love this drama so much.

I’m a little worried about the quality of this because this is one of three dramas this director is directing within 6 months - I actually usually quite like this director but that’s just a LOT of work in such a short time, but from the trailer I think no matter what Joong and Dunks chemistry will make this a really sweet and swoony watch and Aou and Boom’s scenes will be a fun addition to the drama.

The fact he’s been the second male lead in 7 dramas and the male lead once - and that once it was a short drama! How does these keep happening to my dramaland bias? I don’t want to see his little broken hearted face again, but he’s the second male lead again in his next drama and of course I’ll watch it.

I was so excited for this since they announced it - and I really don’t watch currently airing Kdramas anymore, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to wait for this one. And I have to say, all my ridiculously high expectations were exceeded! these first 2 episodes were just so beautiful. They really set up this story wonderfully - this is just such a gorgeous drama from the music, locations, cast and chemistry - I’m actually surprised how good our leads chemistry is so early. I’m so in love with this!

Why did I start this!? I really only have time to be watching 1 airing kdrama at the moment and See You in my 19th Life has been my most anticipated drama for so long I decided I would watch that, but I just gave episode 1 of this a go to see what it's like and it was fantastic - no way am I not watching this every week. It's just so cute and genuinely funny, with some really beautiful friendships - I'm loving it.

I just comeback here every now and then to be sad that this isn't close to airing - if the rumours are true and it is a netflix series, then it definitely wont be out this year after they previewed all kdramas that will be airing in 2023 yesterday. Kind of really hoping those netflix rumours were false then. I do love how much the cast supports each other though. Going to each others premieres and congratulating each other on their new dramas - it's very sweet....Just give me the drama already!

That's kind of hard to simply answer, because it depends what you consider canon or if you've even seen the other ending or want to see the other ending.

So short answer no, not a happy ending but it’s possible.

In the drama they both end up separated to their own time lines and forget each other because to solve the central mystery of the drama they must change things so they would have never met - like they were never supposed to. She never would meet her current day boyfriend who died either because of how they fix everything. So they do fix everything and some characters get far happier endings and lives, but the leads forget each other and are assumed to most likely never meet.
BUT the final episode was leaked early and pirated! And so the team decided to shoot one extra scene to thank the fans that supported them on legal channels. This scene was released separately from the final episode at a later date - I found it on youtube. In this scene it shows that our leads did meet again in current day and its hinted slightly that they could remember their other encounters. And it would be the him from 1998 that she ends up with - its only a 10 year age gap.
I choose to believe in the extra clip - that confirms they meet again and fall in love for the third time, but I have some friends that like the tragedy of the dramas ending and like the idea they never meet again. So I wonder if this series will chose to add the extra clip or keep the ambiguous possible tragedy of the original?

I Want to See Only You (very short but wholesome best friends-lovers story)

Kabe Sa Doujin Sakka no Neko Yashiki-kun wa Shouninyokkyuu wo Kojiraseteiru (childhood friends meet again as adults ones a manga artist the other an idol - surprisingly emotional)

His - I Didn’t Think I Would Fall In Love (a short and cute first love story set over the course of a summer in a surfing town)

Cherry Magic (everyone knows and loves this one - it’s the most famous jbl)

Jack O’Frost (the night a couple breaks up one of them gets into an accident and loses all memories of their relationship)

the original is one of the few dramas that made me cry so much I actually got a headache - I think the last 10mins of ep9 might be one of the saddest moments I’ve ever seen in a drama. if the remake captures a fraction of that emotion I’ll be happy!

I can’t believe the hate he’s getting just for getting married. What a weird world we live in! I’m happy they’re happy!

It kind of looks like Phupha and Tian are going to be separated for most of next week? literally just wanted to see them spend time together - didn’t care what the plot was - I just wanted their interactions. And I’m pretty sure people were saying this next episode will be the one 1000 stars focused episode and the last episode is meant to be a mix of Bad Buddy and 1000 stars again. oh well! I knew i shouldn’t have got my hopes up.

I had been anticipating this so much for ages,, so when it finally aired and was a mess I was let down. Don't get me wrong - it's a mess I thoroughly enjoyed, but I was expecting it to be better. I do think the cast did a fantastic job, but the pacing for me felt either way too fast or slow at times and the writing overall was quite messy. I think that's partially due to them having to swap the airing of this and Middleman's Love - it would have been amazing to get the whole of Middleman's Love to properly establish King and Uea's relationship before the events of a Bed Friend. I think its also down to the way some production companies are churning out BLs so quickly - there isn't time to make sure they're as good as possible when there's such a short turnaround time. BUT all that being said I did still enjoy it overall. Also I wasn't really excited for Middleman's Love even though I really like TutorYim, but Yim as Jade was my favourite character in this- he brightened every scene he was in and had me cracking up constantly and that short appearance of Tutor at the end!!! Now I'm highly anticipating Middleman's Love, when I know logically it will probably let me down! Oh well!
