This was such a special drama. Both the leads were going through very real problems - it was scary how easy it was to relate to Watari! The actors were perfectly cast too with brilliant chemistry! the only things I want from the drama is MORE!Such a big part of the drama was Wataris overworking but I just wanted to see the leads spend some more time together in the latter half of the drama, but I understand this had a very short runtime and the story they were telling needed them to be seperated so often towards the end. anyway this was so beautiful.
I read the manga years ago and loved it and I remember I watched the first 3 episodes as this drama aired and loved them - but I got super busy and never got round to watching more than those initial 3 episodes - almost 3 years later I’m finally watching this from the start and I can’t believe I waited 3 years to finish this it’s so adorable!!! completely lives up to the manga!
I am not ready for this! The manhwa is so fantastical and heartbreaking and important. This cast is so incredibly talented and beautiful. And the team behind this churn out hit after hit drama! I feel like this is about to be my new obsession!
Taiwanese BLs never disappoint. This was absolutely adorable.😊 A little cringe at times, but nothing too bad.…
About You is the cutest Taiwanese series ever! It’s got incredible songs and adorable relationships. We Best Love s1&2 is incredible - definitely one of the biggest and most beloved Taiwanese BLs with some of the best acting- I remember after the cliffhanger of season 1 the entire BL community was coming up with endless theories during the wait for season 2! And my first ever BL ever was HiStory2: Crossing the Line which is the one BL I’ve watched countless times and it is still one of the best Taiwanese series!
I have been saving this for a day when I needed an epic and beautiful romance and I finally feel it is time! I went into this with insanely high expectations and I’m only 1 episode in, but it’s even better than I hoped and I’m already head over heels in love with this show!
Australia and New Zealand have been getting some Japanese and Korean movies very soon after their home countries…
You’re right - it was at a film festival where I am! I was desperately waiting for it to be released in more English speaking countries and was so happy when it was finally released and everyone started talking about it!
I’m so glad everyone gets it now! I saw this back in July and hardly anyone was talking about it and I was so emotionally destroyed by this - it took me a week to recover and I had no one to cry over this with - now everywhere I look people are crying about it - I’m so happy I’m not alone anymore!
I only just read the interview Kore-eda did where he said “Did the boys live or die? When making the film we assumed they survived and were able to affirm who they were, that they came into their own. If some think they did not survive, that is also fine. But what was important is that they came into themselves.” Maybe now I can be brave enough to watch this film again. if Kore-Ed’s says him and everyone making the film believes they survived and are happy, then it’s official: they survived and are happy! I’m okay to be dumb and ignore all symbolism so that I can have my happy ending.
I didn’t realise how happy I would be to see GeminiFourth back acting together! All the bts shots are making me even more unbelievably excited! Also I’m so happy they’re with P’Au again - he got such beautiful and adorable performances from them before I just know this will be ridiculously cute and perfect!
At the start this was so good! But after a couple episodes it just seemed to fall apart for me. And I know this is a beloved pairing, but in this drama it made me feel like the genres they fit into as actors are completely different. I want to see Meen do even more gritty and adult roles, but I think this was too gritty for Ping - I think he’s better in cutesy and sweet dramas. That’s just me though - I know so many people love them together!
At 26 this is my first time watching this film and even though I’m no longer a teen I really liked it! It’s a very cute film, but I do I think I was expecting this to be more at a love story when it’s way more of a coming of age movie. I was surprised by how little screen time the leads shared together, when they were so cute in the few scenes they were in together! But it really was such a funny film and it was so fun to watch Nam change and grow. Also I understand why Mario was everyones first Thai crush! He’s so ridiculously charming and endearing throughout! This film weirdly made me really excited to check out the Chinese drama adaptation because I want more time with these characters and more scenes of the leads together! This was such a fun and cute watch!
I think where this has gone wrong for me personally is with Charlie and Babe. I think Pavel and Pooh fit their characters perfectly, but I just feel like they got together and basically fell in love in the first episode. My personal preferences for my ships is a little more of a slow burn - I’d love to have seen them build some tension and have their feelings develop a little more slowly then I feel like I would be a lot more invested in their relationship. But all the other couples I’m a fan of. Alan and Jeff I find cute - I like how they’re gradually growing closer and I am SO excited to see more of Way and Pete! I think they may end up being my favourite couple even though we’ve seen so little of them - I just feel like they’re going to have great chemistry and I’d love to see Way get over Babe!
