I can’t wait to see what roles will be in Roh Yoon Seos future - she’s so talented and it’s so early in her career, but she really shone here sharing the screen with extremely talented senior actors! All the young actors did an amazing job though - I hope to see Lee Min Jae in something soon too because he was so fun to watch - very charismatic and charming.
I find myself forcing myself to watch this because some of the locations are gorgeous, the majority of the cast is talented and it’s filled with some seriously beautiful shots, but I’m so lost on what’s going on - maybe someday there will be better subtitles and I’ll be able to enjoy this, but until then - I’m out.
I feel like visually this is stunning, but the subtitles are so bad l have no idea whats happening - I’m constantly so confused. it’s a shame because it feels like their ruining what could be a really interesting series, but it stops being interesting if I have to rewatch every single scene 5 times to try and understand what the subtitles mean.
I am here again to just spread some love for this drama. I’m so hooked and so excited for what’s to come now that Yi Hwan knows with complete certainty that him and Jae Yi are on the same side. I’m still not so certain Tae Gang is the person behind everything - hes too funny and doesn’t seem conniving and he was at the Dakyu game when the person went to the prison AND wearing a different head band at the time. Also the voices didn’t match to me! I don’t know! But I LOVED Yi Hwan showing off in the Dakyu game and Jae Yis reaction! I’m just obsessed with this lead couple - I love their softness and humour with each otherI also liked that Yi Hwan is keeping a bit of distance between them out of respect for her engagement.
I actually think airing Middleman's Love first like they were supposed to would have helped this quite a bit (not that it would help with the atrocious editing) because I'm having trouble connecting with the lead characters and understanding why their relationship is the way it is - I think if we had Middleman's love first we would've had proper time to see the state of their relationship before their first time together and spent time building their characters up so that by Bed Friend we'd be so much better prepared - anyway I did like ep2 more, but I think that's because my expectations are now sooo low. And Jade continues to be the best thing about this series - he's adorable and hilarious - I can't wait for him to find love - I'm also going to assume Gun will be taking the role Uea was supposed to play in Middlemans Love because I know Jade was supposed to think his love interest (Mai) is interested in Uea instead of him, but if by Middleman’s Love he's in a relationship with King I can’t see that working - So I can see Gun being swapped in to the mix up instead maybe?
this has gone straight to the top of my list of over 100 BLs! It may not be the most technically perfect BL of all time, but all of these insanely beautiful characters, the heart and the love in this series that flows from every single scene making it my favourite BL. Tinn, Gun, Tiwson and Chinzilla - don’t make me wait too long for Our Skyy 2!
I don’t think I realised how much I missed this. I loved season 1, but im the type of Kdrama fan who disagrees with the existence of multiple seasons - so I almost didn’t watch this, but I’m so glad I did - the first 2 episodes were a brilliant story of the team coming back together and it still included all my favourite parts of season 1, Kim Do Ki undercover (as multiple characters), the genuinely heartbreaking stories of people needing help, the incredible fight sequences and the love that this team has for eachother (I forgot how wonderful and hilarious kyung goo and Ji Eons friendship is) I’m so excited for more! I missed these characters!
another week and I still am in love with this. Maybe it’s because I’m usually a person who doesn’t enjoy…
that one shot in episode 5 of the fight scene in that tiny room - such an awesome shot. I hope the director continues being a little more experimental- there are a few more instances and they’re alwYs stand out moments for me!
I’m terrible with recognising places - where is this set? I feel that huge bridge should be a clue - but I have zero idea - I spent the first half wondering why they kept asking if people were Thai before realising they aren’t in Thailand
the mother situation was even more emotional in the drama than in the manga. That moment Ritsu took Masumis blame and guilt, was such beautiful moment brought to life. In the manga we had also learned about Ritsus upbringing by this point and it was a bit of insight into why he’s how he is and I really hope they won’t skip that in this series. And we are officially going into Vol.2 of the manga! we are getting the introduction of such an interesting character and this is also the beginning of unearthing some more of Ritsus character. I’m so interested to see how people feel about him at the end!
I assume this will be out towards the latter half of the year considering the director is currently working of 2 series that I’m pretty sure aren’t even in postproduction yet. The most ambitious of the 2 won’t be out until the summer, so I’d assume he’ll start this after.
I’ve never seen Tay play a cheerful character who is head over heels in love - the characters I’ve seen him play have always been hurt or moody, and although Kurosawa has been hurt he doesn’t let it define him after meeting Adachi. I’m so intrigued to see if Tay can pull this off because it’d be a whole new side of him I’d like to see.
i just feel like the editing in this is so messy! This first episode could’ve been told in such a clear way but everything felt rushed or in a weird order - like I thought they’d already slept together before the start of the series because of how they edited it, but then that was actually a flash forward - and they could’ve fixed that confusion so easily. It’s just frustrating, because the cast did a really good job for a first episode. And I feel like if they gave their scenes more time to breathe James and Nets scenes would work even better with their fabulous chemistry. But I did completely fall in love with Yims, Jade here - he is perfectly encapsulating this adorable weirdo - also his character actually fits with the quick crazy editing and I can see it working well for Middlemans Love, but Bed Friend is more dark and serious - it needs to strip things back and give its actors and their scenes more time. I could see myself really loving this - I hope the editing gets better as it goes!
I really liked this - I loved Becky and Freens chemistry and acting - I also loved the scenes with the friend group- they were always extremely entertaining. But I felt about this the same way I feel about most romance series - it really started dragging for me towards the end - I kind of wish we had spent some more time seeing Tee and Yuki fall for each other - I would’ve liked a proper second couple storyline or more of a driving central plot to keep me loving this. That’s just a personal preference though - I always end up getting bored when a full length series is just about 1 couples love story and some episodes are clocking in at over 1hr15mins. Still this was good and just made me want more GL series!
