this is just really really good and I’m so happy when watching it! The 2 romances are amazing! Watching Gun and Cher fall in love with each other has been so easy, comfortable and sweet - no crazy drama! And Thee and Zo’s relationship is just so beautiful- the way they love and support each other! BUT almost even better than the romantic relationships is the friendships! The beach trip was a lovely opportunity to just see the group have fun together. I loved Zo’s chat with Cher! but one of my favourite moments of the whole episode has to be at the end when Jack said to Cher “Let me know whenever you need me here. Hm?” - it such a simple sentence, but so so powerful - really got me in my feelings! Also Mike is just doing an amazing job - Jack is such a real and multifaceted character -definitely one of the most interesting side characters I’ve maybe ever seen in a BL - I really want to spend more time with his character. It’s not my favourite series ever, but I just really really like it!
I really loved this - it had a predictable storyline, but the acting, warm chemistry and wonderful characters made this such an enjoyable watch. I really got swept up in how comforting and romantic the leads relationship felt. Their kisses may not have been the best, but they get my vote for the best and most hugs in a KBL. Also (like everyone else) I loved the side couple - their dynamic was so fun and I'd actually love a whole series just about their story. Anyway this is my healing KBL I didn't know I needed - I can definitely see myself rewatching this often.
Even though I finished this back at the start of February, I still look back on this drama with so much fondness - I definitely started it and didn't really get it, but for some reason I kept tuning into it week after week and eventually, without even realising fell in love with these characters and this series. It's not the most progressive or current drama, but in so many ways its so unlike any other BL out there, truly unique - which is why at the start I think I struggled to get into it, but it's very special to me now.
2023 is clearly Jo Joon Young’s year! He’s starring in 3 ‘romance, youth’ dramas! AND I’m really excited about all of them - ‘Spirit Fingers’ sounds so sweet and healing, then Heesu in Class 2 has been one of my most anticipated BLs for ages - it’s even apparently even got that Netflix money, and then this!
Lee do Hyun is one of those expressive actors out there, I've only seen him in three dramas so far and his acting…
Yes! And he is consistently in really really good dramas - like he only has one drama he stars in that’s rated below an 8.5 on his MDL page! And they’re all so different - like he’s basically unrecognisable between his hilarious performance in Eighteen Again and then to compare that to him in The Glory! Truly so talented!
I was going to start this today, but I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been spoiled anything about it, except now that it’s amazing and one of them is probably gonna die…so I think I’ll wait until after it’s finished airing so that if one of them does die I’ll be able to try to emotionally prepare myself before I get too invested in these characters. see you later guys!
I actually love this drama so so much, but I just have to warn people who may be just starting it, this is one of the slowest slowburns I’ve maybe ever seen in a Kdrama - the leads share so many beautifully heart fluttering and deep emotional moments throughout which I loved, but as someone who loves slowburn…this was almost too slowburn for me - but still this is still such a brilliant drama.
how are the side couple in this? I keep seeing so many gifs of them and they’re making me want to watch this series even more than the lead couple is already making me want to.
In an interview Gemini and Fourth said this would start shooting in April. They’ve just finished filming for My School Presidents Our Skyy episode and Homeschool is on Q33 - they’ve got to be nearing the end of filming!
do i need to watch season 1 to watch s2.. and what genre is this show.. good? r both seasons good? or if s2 is…
Both seasons are equally great. In my opinion some of the episodic cases in season 1 are better and then the main villain in season 2 is better, but people may disagree with me. I think if you properly want to dive into this series you should give season 1 a go first because that’s where you get to see why these characters are in this line of work and learn about each of their traumas and watch them try to overcome those traumas and build their beautiful little crime fighting family - so if you want to truly appreciate these characters and their relationships I think season 1 would be a big help. Also there’s a lot of call backs to seaosn 1 - even the first mini villain in season 2. But you can get away with watching season 2 without season 1
I’m actually so pleasantly surprised with this. After giving up on Enchante after just one episode I kind of had no opinion of Force and Book going into this, but I’m 5 episodes into this now and I really really enjoy their chemistry. Also I like that this series has such a different feel to it, this is almost a simple story but it’s still so engaging, I also love that we have a ridiculously in love side couple and that this series subtly tackling topics like mental health. I don’t think this will be one of my all time favourites, but it has such a refreshing, but current vibe. I’m surprised to say now I’ve actually enjoyed 2 of this directors recent works, although this can’t live up to the pure masterpiece that is My Only 12%!
i always defend kbls for lacking in certain aspects when they are only 8eps and 15mins each, but Our Dating Sim is out here proving that even with a runtime that short a drama can still be perfect. These characters are so fully realised, their chemistry works perfectly, the story doesn’t feel rushed! As I said it’s literally perfect - especially considering they didn’t film this that long ago at all - it wasn’t kept in the vault for over a year like most kbls - definitely going in my top 10 list!
I’m confused…I swear I watched episode 7 without subtitles back when it had aired on Korean TV and it ended with the ending of episode 6 - which is the ending of the manhwa. I know they said they were going to shoot a special episode which must’ve been episode 7. it might just be my brain playing tricks on me though.
I’m loving this so much! The leads have really good chemistry and their gradual closeness actually feels really well paced and realistic - Tae Joon smiling more and more was just adorable! Also the side couple seems to be encapsulating all of my favourite tropes: enimies-lovers, friends-lovers, tough guy/sunshine and then next week Ho Tae saying “date me for a month” - I’m gonna lose my mind! As I said, I’m loving this!
It's not the most progressive or current drama, but in so many ways its so unlike any other BL out there, truly unique - which is why at the start I think I struggled to get into it, but it's very special to me now.
