wow! I has laughing so hard at the start of episode 5, but then started crying towards the end. This was meant to be my sweet comfort show, but I should’ve known these series always end up becoming sad!

I want to watch this because I love so much of the cast, but knowing it’s coming from Takashi Miike gives me the fear, because he’s made so much of the most horrific stuff I’ve ever tried to watch.

I think I’ve come to a conclusion on my feelings for this drama. Personally I feel like the chemistry between Rain and Payu was beyond incredible, their scenes felt so natural, scenes with the 2 of them are pretty much unbeatable and it elevated their storyline vastly, which was messy and really didn’t make much sense. But I feel like Pai and Sky had a pretty regular amount of chemistry, not non-existent but just a basic amount and I feel like Fort was amazing in the emotional scenes and Peat was better in the comedic scenes, but their story made so much more sense and was much more cohesive. So I feel like I should be more of a Pai and Sky fan, but Payu/Rain have the best chemistry I’ve seen in any series of this year and so because it’s so good I prefer their story, but I do think technically the second is better. I would love to see both couples get their own full length series because I feel we were robbed with them only getting half each!

I’m liking this quite a bit. I think the 2 leads are really interesting characters and I’m enjoying finding out more about them. Although I’m a little confused about where they stand with each other. I was pretty sure Bai Lang knows that Xun An is interested in him, but he thinks he’s too much of a mess for Xun An, but sometimes it reads like he doesn’t understand that he’s interested in him? Also currently i personally don’t feel much chemistry between the leads (but I know most people would disagree with me), but maybe that will develop for me! The second couple I really like, I personally feel they have way more chemistry and a really fun dynamic. So I’m more invested in the second couple, but all of the characters are really enjoyable to watch, so I’m eager for more!

is this different enough to the Kdrama that it’s worth watching both?

So Rang seems like such an awesome character - so different from the usual sageuk FL!

I’m been so understanding of Yeo Reum up to this point, but she went too far this time BUT that isn’t affecting how much I love this drama, because I love so many of the characters Jae Hoon is an amazing ML, Chae Ri is so intriguing with her moral ambiguity, sang woo is a sweetheart and all of the contestants bring something more to the drama (I’ve even started to enjoy John Jang scenes because I find it hilarious how much of a jerk he is) also I just love the setting of a reality show. I’m upset Yeo Reum has really let me down as a character, but I’m really hoping they some how fix her in these final 6 episodes!

I hope this is the drama that makes my dreams come true of seeing kwak shi Yang in a leading romantic role!

Comedically he’s one of my faves, but he’s getting better at more serious roles too - he’s quickly becoming one of my all round favourites

I’d be interested to see which story people prefered! because I was way more obsessed with Payu/Rains story, but all my friends felt the opposite and loved Pai/Sky more. so which did you all prefer or did you like them equally?

Please can we get more Park Ji Won and John Jang interactions! I really want to see that friendship grow. They’re each other’s complete opposites which made their scene really work! I would have loved to see them become a couple, but it’s pretty clear that’s not the way they’re heading. I just want her to have some genuine support when Joon Hos true nature is revealed and I want to just see him actually be a kind and genuine person for once! 😂

Q11! I know Vice Versa took till Q41 to finish - but that was by one of the higher ups in GMMTV. So I don’t think (and hope) this will take that many Qs, because I don’t see P’Jo getting that sort of moneye for this! It feels like this has been at the top of my most anticipated dramas list for ages (I felt the same way about Not Me last year). Also after seeing P’Jos short film for Yinwars concert it made me so much more excited for this because there are some similarities in the themes of both projects - and that was a masterpiece. The set photos all look absolutely incredible too - I’m ready so for this to rip out my heart - hurry up!

it was obvious who was going to win because they kind of spoiled it in the initial trailers, but I kinda wish Earth had won - reward the least toxic person for once - but I get that probably wouldn’t have been realistic. I actually really loved Yidol, it was so overly dramatic, but to me it didn’t feel quite as dark as the 2 previous stories, which made it an easier watch. And I think I was one of the few people that felt sympathetic towards Peak the whole way through. New Ship is better than this, but this in my opinion was way better that War of Managers!

initially this confused me a little, because I only watched UWMA as it was airing and that was a while ago now. And I decided I shouldn’t rewatch it because this would either be too different or it’d be too similar and therefore seem repetitive. But I started watching Between Us and I felt like I was missing chunks of the story, so I decided to skip through UWMA to just watch some of Team and some of Wins scenes. And there’s some differences I really wasn’t expecting - in the first episode Win is a completely different character- he’s not the cheeky character we know him as in UWMA he’s almost as stone faced and serious as Dean - I’m not sure why they’ve decided to go in that direction with his character here, because I feel like they could still go with the same narrative without changing his personality- for example: he could be so laid back and unserious because he feels like nothing has ever been worth being serious for. They’ve also restructured the timeline of their relationship because by the first retreat Team and Win had this comfortable flirty banter thing going on- after the ep2 preview I’m assuming that in Between Us them sleeping together is the trigger that sets their “flirty banter” dynamic like in UWMA into motion. It’s just weird because it feels like it’s relying on you remembering UWMA but it also wants you to have forgotten WinTeams storyline. I’m not saying that I don’t like it, I did enjoy the first episode quite a bit, but I initially got frustrated by the change to Wins character and production wise there are some weaker points (that I wouldn’t even notice if my standards weren’t so ridiculously high because of News other currently airing drama which is incredible). I’ll be quiet now because I do like this, and after that promo it gave me glimpses of Win being the playful Win I knew and loved from UWMA BUT I’ll be making sure not rewatch anymore UWMA so I don’t make any more early judgements which make me frustrated over something that isn’t even an issue! The one change I did really love was Win very clearly asking for consent - what an upgrade! Anyway I’m excited to see what’s to come.

Love to see how much other people love Yoon Park - I’m still hurt and angry about watching 100 episodes of Beautiful Love Wonderful Life just for his character to end up friendzoned and his love interest to end up with her emotionally abusive ex!
