Hmm, I'm not exactly experienced with the Korean Culture. But I heard someone say that perhaps the photos made…
I think you're right - we saw in episode 4 how many people hate her and have these misconceptions about her. So I think the people who disliked her and her fake fans are going to be so happy to see her difficult past and that will be the cause of her fall from fame.
I'm so glad I was wrong about who HarLey is! I thought it was my fave so I'm glad it wasn't them - definitely didn't expect it to be who it is. They weren't anywhere near my suspects list.
I did start with a lot of BLs - as I think a lot of people do and there are some great BLs out there! I originally tried Make it Right and Together With Me multiple times but couldn’t get through them. But then I found gmmtv BLs and they were much more enjoyable (personally I disliked Sotus though) - But last year I started to watch a couple non BLs and there are some I’ve really enjoyed- I started with a lot of teen gmmtv series, but I’ve moved on to proper lakorns now - I have to say I liked My Husband in Law but hated it towards the end - I especially hated how they gave the female lead a personality transplant to keep the lead’s apart. And my favourite lakorn so far has to be Hua Jai Sila - it’s so ridiculous and crazy but I loved every minute of it - it’s trashy revenge at it’s best. My favourite teen series has to be Ugly Duckling: Perfect Match - that introduced me to Push and I fell in love with how charming he is instantly! Of the BLs I’ve seen my favourite is by far I Told Sunset About You but that’s more of a mini series - so otherwise it’s 2Gether or My Dear Loser: Edge of 17. I’m happy I gave thai content a chance because it’s quite different from any other countries!
I am glad that Timmy and Johnny are finally getting a lot more lead roles - they’re finally the stars they deserve to be. For a while they were completely thrown out of the industry - I still find it so ridiculous that they aren't allowed to appear in public or on screen together even as different characters - so shocking!
Personally I'd give Lee Rangs story and interesting relationship with Lee Yeon a 10/10, but I'd then have to give the romance a 2/10 - it just didn't work for me at all and that becomes an issue when the show hinges in their "epic" 600 year lasting love. No hate to the actors I just didn't like the leads relationship - i found it extremely dull - I even skipped a few of their scenes. For me it was a meh drama with a brilliant second male lead.
So the directors next project "Call it What You Want" is inspired by some of the shady going inside around the behind the scenes of this series? That sounds interesting.
Kim Seon Ho has been my favourite actor in dramaland for a couple years now - so I was wondering, should I watch this drama or will the pain be unbearable and unrelenting?
the way to know how much I love drama is how long it takes me to finish it. I have now been watching this drama for 5 months now I've just reached halfway = this drama is perfection.
Lee Rang is main character, he has an arc alone that connects with everything else if you like his arc so far…
I'm 10 episodes in now. I'm completely loving his arc. As the drama has gone on Lee Yeon and Lee Rang shared scenes are by far my favourites. I should've been clearer and said I wasn't that big a fan of the 2 leads characters - their performances have always been brilliant though! I now like the leads characters but I'm still not to big a fan of the leads romantically - weirdly I like them in the past but them in the present just isn't working for me - I think I'd love the drama a lot more if they removed the romance from it, but that's just me. I am enjoying it more though.
I'm only on episode 6 and I keep getting a bit bored of this drama, but then I get a Lee Rang scene or a Ki Yoo Ri scene and I become invested again - it's a shame I'm not that into the mains characters. But this drama has confirmed to me that 5 years on I am still Kim Bum trash.
3 episodes in now...this might be the best drama I've ever seen! I'm losing my mind. I'm always sad when part 1 ends because i have to watch part 2 to continue part 1 but then I'm always sad when part 2 ends cause I have to watch part 1 to get to part 2 - its an emotionally confusing cycle. Also Lee Ho Soo is quickly becoming one of my all time favourite characters, but really I love all the characters so much! Why doesn't this drama have more love and popularity!?
I'd say fun is the right word for it. It's light hearted, quite sweet and very innocent. It reminds me more of a sitcom that a kdrama. So If you think a school comedy about a big group of friends is your thing you'll probably like it.
With this airing in 2021 along with all the other series just announced - 2021 is going to be the busiest year ever for gmmtv - so much more bl content than ever before too.
I was a big Max and Tul fan. They were my first bl - like everyone else - I watched Bad Romance because of them and then Together With Me. But I haven't really kept up with their work the past few years. And I'm annoyed to say that I didn't love the first 2 episodes of this - I definitely laughed a lot but I wasn't as hooked or creeped out as I was expecting- I'll definitely continue watching this because Max and Tul are the pioneers of this genre (crazy that this even is a genre) and I'm definitely hoping I'll get more invested as it goes on - so whilst it was good (and definitely above average) it wasn't everything I was hoping - but I'm the only person who seems to feel this way so maybe I should just shut up.
I have to say I liked My Husband in Law but hated it towards the end - I especially hated how they gave the female lead a personality transplant to keep the lead’s apart.
