I really loved this until the storyline of the FL destroying her memories of the ML without letting him know in advance what was going to happen. I have to put this one on hold for a bit. I find myself getting very angry and upset for yuechu.😠 All the fox people are treating him so cruelly it just hurts my heart to see how badly he's hurting.😢 I definitely need to be in a better head space for this one. I need light a fluffy right now
Trying to watch this, but the FL and SML are awful. The ML should have had both of them arrested for kidnapping him and forcing him to stay in that nasty 'homestay' with all the inbred relatives instead of staying in a hotel like he wanted to! As an extreme introvert myself I can't imagine the horror of that stay! Yeah, I bailed after 1 and 1/4 episodes. Too bad, I like the ML's character, very similar to the bug dude.
Well, interesting ending. Mario ended up being deliciously evil and twisted. Does that mean we're getting a season 3? Fingers crossed!
Season 2 was hella dark, much more so than the first season. The bromance was even stronger in this season, and love the interactions between bug dude and the Thai detectives. We got some nice cuddles and hugs between bug dude and Chai 😉 Much more physical affection between those 2 then bug dude and his girlfriend 😀And I also love that he did a trip back to China to visit the other bromance detective guys. I'm sad that the leader wasn't there. I wonder why they replaced him?
And I'm kinda bummed they never finished one of the storylines from Season 1. His 'kindly' uncle had his dad murdered to take the fall for embezzling, right? But he got away with it. I was hoping that they would finish that storyline before moving into all the new deaths in Thailand.

Agree! It was almost painful to watch episode 22, it was that boring, but I am determined to finish this! All of the really fun charm is gone, now it's a slog to watch. The first few episode are pretty darn funny with the hallucinations and all but once they stopped so did the fun. Oh well, one more to go and then we can close the books on this one.
Episode 16, bad driving, why in the world would you leave the car in pouring rain, and why the heck wouldn't you stay on the road instead of cutting through the forest? 🤣 Sometimes people deserve what's coming to them! Doesn't anyone in there series ever watch horror movies?

My impressions of season 2 so far, much darker feel than season 1. The topics they are covering and the frank conversations are surprising to me, because of censorship and all. I would expect them to tone it down but damn! ML and FL just don't seem to be chemistrying at all. They seem more like brother and sister to me. Yes, I know, there isn't a tag for romance in this but they are supposed to be each other's romantic interest. However, I can see that wonderful drink of a Chai with both FL and ML! He's just too pretty for words.
Episode 1, interestingly creepy start. Let's see if they ever wrap up the open story line from season 1 before they move onto this. It kind of looks like nope but we'll see. I do like the look of the opening credits in all its fractal charm.
Oh my, episodes 23/24 the most angsty, tear inducing yet. What happened to the light-hearted doctor and bug dude bromance? Poor bug dude. I'm all alone in the world...wait, I have a brother and a father!!🥲...oh crap never mind.......😢And why wasn't there a resolution to the whole dad embezzling thing? Dang.
Perfection! What a sweet epilogue to the series. 💖 (I'm loving the new hair style for Ever 9) And that cameo was perfect! I wasn't really happy with the Stay by My Side special episode but the guys did so wonderfully with their cameo.
I don't think it's the actors' fault. These specials are pretty badly written and filmed and won't favor any actors.…
You've summed up my thoughts much better than I did! I shouldn't blame the actors for this, it's more like the directing/editing that causes the awkwardness in dialog. There aren't any ebb and flow conversations, it's an actor reading his lines, pause.... the other actor reading his lines. This is something I see in Thai dramas a lot but not in ones from Taiwan. And the other VBL series specials (so far) don't seem to have this issue.
