omg you guys spoke my mind; I thought I was the only one around here that thought KC 2.0's romance was forced and just wasn't as genuine as before he lost his memories.
As much as I love some of the writer's previous works, I must say UF could have been done a lot better. That's…
I have to agree with you. I came into UF with such high expectations for a devastating, doomed romance(maybe because of all the hype?) but after 18 episodes, I surprisingly never teared up for the leads. I don't know why but I think it's because of the backstory. The backstory was supposed to be important about how they fell in love but it was never elaborated upon. Instead, the drama just kind of skipped over it and began to focus on the present and all the family drama. Honestly, the only time I really felt emotional was during the mom-son scenes. The romance just never caught me. In the end, UF didn't live up to the sky-high expectations for me- because it became something else for me- like you said, a more family drama.
I think i'm beginning to realise i'm an Lee Jong-suk anti. I'ver never been an anti before. It's quite exciting.…
Agreed with @Bongsookie
Though I liked LJS in Pinocchio-acting wise, I was never a fangirl and I always though he looked too feminine for my taste. But, in my opinion, he has improved immensely in W. Like you said, I honestly can't imagine anyone else playing Kang Chul. I'm honestly curious, though, which part made you think he seemed lifeless? If anything, I feel like LJS is portraying his emotions really well with his expressive eyes and portraying KC the best with what he's given.
I lack the words to explain how I feel about W. I believe only a nerd can understand how fully this rips my soul…
LOL for me it's: "DANG LET'S SEE HOW THEY'LL FIX THAT NOW" because while I definitely want to see how the killer daddy plot works out, I'm also worried about how Kang Chul and Yeon Joo's romance will be resurrected.
I absolutely dislike UF so far (I haven't watched the latest episodes) but this article is 5-star material, Jasmine.…
Thank you, Hani! I'm flattered ^_^ Our opinions aren't that popular out here haha. I'm actually still following UF but I'm not in love with it. I'm tearing up at scenes (the family scenes) but not the OTP scenes so for me something is still missing, I just don't know what. That said, I do think this drama is worth watching despite the flaws, as the side plot lines are intriguing and I think it got better in the later episodes. The drama kind of stopped emphasizing their complicated past romance so it's easier to just take their romance in the present as it is now (makes it more enjoyable to watch too!) Not at all-I don't understand why not liking a drama=hater. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion as long as they're being respectful. UF was incredibly hyped though, I think that's why. I was extremely excited because I followed all the promos that led up to the premiere but then my expectations fell short of what I hoped, especially in the beginning. Now that we're a little past the halfway mark, I can say that I think the editing has gotten much better, especially since they stopped playing many flashback scenes and are starting to focus more on the present and the many ramifications of Joon Yeong's illness, which is interesting to watch.
i've been consistently watching because it's entertaining as an easy watch. I never really felt PSH and KRW's chemistry because their dynamics kept feeling more like teacher-student than lovers. However, I think ep 12 has convinced me of their chemistry better. It was such a cute episode!
