I want to see this drama really , but is finally happy ? Or unclear ؟
The ending scene (like last five seconds) was kind of weird but other than those 5 seconds the drama was awesome so I would still recommend watching it. Just ignore the last 5 seconds LOL..that's what I did. It still technically counts as a happy ending overall though.
I totally forgot I watched this years ago. This drama was actually really good. It mostly focused on the aftermath of the war between China and Taiwan that happened in 1949. The aftermath is set in modern times but there are lots of flashbacks back to events that occurred in during the war. Overall, it was mostly a historical mystery drama. It's not my favorite genre but it was still an intriguing watch.
I'm trying to look for more Wallace dramas after finishing this but why does Wallace only do mostly historical dramas?? I don't really like historical.. :(
Ohh Yanuo never actually went to Japan- Zi Feng got to her before she could leave. She was dressed as a woman because of the birthday dinner with Xiao Jing, which happened in episode 8.
I... don't see the appeal of this drama at all. I find Huo Wallace hot but I still don't enjoy this drama at all…
I have to say I disagree. I actually think his accent isn't that noticeable, probably because Wallace has been working in China for quite a while. Speaking style is a personal preference I guess. I don't think Wallace is intentionally trying to imitate Sherlock. Rather, it's like @Jo-hannah said, and they're kind of paying a tribute to Sherlock but they don't have to imitate it in doing so nor are they trying to. Sure, there might be some similarities if the original author gained inspiration from other sources but there's no need to compare this to Sherlock because they're two completely different stories at the core of it. Wallace is portraying the character perfectly, making his character come alive from the novel. If you continue watching, you'll see that he does have passion for solving crimes but his character has a dark past and is a multi-faceted character that we as audiences slowly get to see as the drama unfolds.
I'm thinking of watching this drama, can someone plz tell me if its worth the watch?
I agree! It's so worth the watch. This drama strikes the perfect balance between romance and crime investigation. It's super intense though and like @DramaLover said, it does have a little bit of gore. This is my first Wallace drama and wow he's finee. ;)
How did the ratings go down? Was it higher before? Didn't notice :( Good luck to both of you on your exams :)
yeah haha I was thinking about reading the book but it seems like lots of people who read the book aren't as satisfied with the drama since BJY is kind of portrayed differently, like you said. So, I'll probably read it after the drama haha.
