Gotta say, I’m already enjoying the Thai production more than the Japanese original. How is this possible?? (I didn’t particularly care for the original, to be honest. Maybe I’m just enjoying seeing Earth and Mix in a comedy…) 😅
Is it really worth watching.. Why everyone wants S2 ? Does this series have bad ending?
It literally leaves off in the middle of the story. It’s “hopeful” because they pull a voice over quote from a bit later in the novel as the last two lines, but it is definitely open ended. Those who have read the novel know what comes next, but we still wish to see it in the show.
The writing when it came to the romance (as well as the chemistry and acting by the two leads) was the best part of this show. Plus, how they wrote about trauma, mental health, and therapy? Fantastic!
Holy heck! That was intense and SO GOOD!! Reminded me of the indie US movie, Johns. Because of this, I was sooo afraid of the ending. But… It did not disappoint!
Has anyone noticed the greater maturity in the look of the actors, the guitars… the CAT… in the new Wave photos? Potential (teasers)… spoilers, perhaps?? I mean, they practically *scream* future novel plot points! Haha…
Don’t they realize that many people are going to rate this poorly because of the open ending? …And that the lack of closure is going to hurt their progress toward securing season 2?
That being said, they followed the plot and perfectly portrayed the deep emotions portrayed in the book during this chapter. The writing was brilliant, even to the bittersweet end. This is just the worst place to end a “series”/season.
Hopefully they (officially!) announce a season 2… sooner, rather than later… for their own sake!
The teacher keeps talking about the looming “moving of low scoring students to Class B”. Novel readers know that SW purposely fails the exams and switches classes to distance himself from JT. All because he really wants to kiss him. Is THIS how the season will end?? It seems anticlimactic…
Or will SW’s class change be an early part of episode 12, with simmering emotions that are resolved with their kiss at the end? I really look forward to the birthday present/kiss scene because it was sooo well-written in the book. A very emotional and narratively explosive type of moment, with full acceptance of their feelings by both SW and JT... The perfect way to end the season, IMO.
Episode 11 was bloody brilliant. So touching and emotional!! Handled this part of the story even better than the book, in my opinion. I am so ready for episode 12, especially if this incredible writing keeps up and sticks the landing!
…And then we wait for (a hopeful) season 2 to tear us to shreds and heal us again…
The "waste of time" comments when a BL isn't as lovey dovey as they want always weirds me out. I'm a romance junkie…
Yes, it is very icky to me that so many straight people want nothing more than to watch queer people kiss (and then some…xxx) Personally, I like well-rounded and relatable stories and slice-of-life queer dramas, thankyouverymuch.
Otherwise, it is… not great. 🫤
Still, 100% worth it to watch.
The rest of the plot, though?… Yikes.

Tomorrow cannot arrive soon enough… 😝
