Yes. The historical aspects are based on the actual issues and events at the time. But the fictional characters and their interlacing plots are very Les Miserables coded. Which is why I noted the “characters/plot” in my comment. 😊

I strongly feel as though the character/plot inspiration for this may have been Les Miserables… adding to why I love it so much. ❤️‍🩹

I cannot take any more loss this year. Sadly, unlike the advanced kidney disease that unexpectedly took my cat three months ago, this upcoming loss next week is one we have seen coming for some time now. And we still have another dog with us who is almost 18 years old…. We know her time is coming, too. 😭

Having older pets is hard. Makes me glad my snakes are likely to live another 10-15 years.

Ha! I must be watching this show from a different angle from everyone else... I love misunderstands and red herrings, and I feel that this story uses both devices brilliantly. I see nothing but the most pure love between the two MLs and, oh my goodness, when they are FINALLY on the same page… it’s going to be so, so satisfyingly sweet. One thing is for sure, this story has riled a lot of people up, which is EXACTLY what I bet the writers intended. In that regard, the writers are all so much like Ha Min... 😏 (And apparently, so am I.) 🤭🙃

I have to say, the drama was SO much better than the webtoon.
