Did anyone talk about the FL's mother ? We know that her father died while rescuing 2 kids a few years ago (?) but we don't know a thing about her mom if I'm not mistaken ? I wonder if she is still alive and if she'll appear in future episodes, I feel like it is a little weird that she wasn't mentioned at all by the FL
Totally agree with you. What's with her colleagues giving most of the tasks to her? I read some commenters saying…
Yes ! Even though I don't really understand why she's still an outcast even in her adult life (she seems perfectly normal to have at least a few friends), I still think she is way too kind to her 2 colleagues, personally I really don't like them... But I guess her need to have a little group to be in is more important than the people in it and it is kinda sad. Of course the SFL will be even worse in the future, because like you said she will resent her even more now that her so called "boyfriend" is 100% in love with the FL. At least, the ML will get to see her true face lol but yes there aren't many possibilities of true friendship for now...
I agree there is plenty of direction they could go instead of focusing on love triangle or love squarre. The past…
I think it works with her character, she seemed to be all alone since many years so her "love" for the SML is indeed more of a delusion (like you said) than real feelings
In addition to the ML's love (past present and future lol), I hope the Fl will get some kind of friends in the future. Her loneliness made my heart break for her and I truly wish she will find her own little "family", and experience romantic love of course but also platonic love... unfortunately her colleagues aren't really nice people and the SFL is even worse so I don't know who could possibly be her friend(s) in the end, maybe Mrs Ma...? The SML ?
I’m fully aware this drama is going to break my heart at the end so I will be pleasantly surprised if it doesn’t.…
Me too lol, I thought I was done after watching The red sleeve but here we go again, I still hope for a semi happy ending but yeah I understand what you are going through ^^'
There is a lot of history here and it's no wonder you wouldn't pick up on it all. Some people in comments in other…
Thank you so much for your reply !! I will definitely check those other comments soon, because it would be such a shame to not fully understand this drama. I think it's the first time I watch a drama about the Qing dynasty so it's a very unfamiliar territory for me haha. Also I'm glad I didn't fully misunderstand this scene then ! Can't wait for friday to see what happens next !
Sooo... I didn't want to watch this drama at first because it seems like it's gonna end in tragedy BUT the little snippets I saw here and there (especially Twitter) made me so curious and I finally caved in and watched all 8 episodes in 2 days :') it's been a very long time since a romance got me like this, and I can't wait to see how the FL will mature in the future, ep 8 was especially great in this aspect !! The ML is full of charisma and mystery and I wonder about his past (I didn't read all the comments here because I wanted to finish all 8 episodes without the risk of being spoiled so I currently don't know about any of the theories or the historical elements behind it). However I admit I am having a hard time understanding all the political aspect of the drama, I will have to watch it a second time I think, but it's not the drama's fault at all... Also, I didn't understand why Khan's general seemed to be uneasy at the very end of ep 8, he had sweat on his face but why ?? Did he betray Khan in some way or was he afraid about Khan knowing that the ML was in fact a spy ? Anyway, I can't wait for ep 9 and 10 !! But the wait for part 2 will be very very hard after that...
Just to check, when Solhee told Doha that Deukchan trusts him, she was lying, right? I can never get the truth…
I thought exactly like you, that she was lying to Do Ha to reassure him about Deuk Chan, I didn't even question it until I saw your comment and the answers below... I am equally confused about it, even after 10 episodes lol
I 100% agree with you... I thought (or hoped maybe) that Jae Won would have the courage to follow her at the last…
Ah well I thought they were together since they were shown posing in front of different monuments etc xD I guess it's a little bit better then but like you said it should have been Jin Hee's thing only...
I wondered about it too but I think it's no sound at all when it's the truth and bell/echoing when it's a lie (maybe the echoing is only present when it's a really big lie...?)
I have a theory on this - writing it as a comment in spoiler tag below.I believe many who are watching the show…
Yes it perfectly works too ! I hope Sol Hee will understand all these clues because at this point she should know that her power isn't just "black and white". It's an interesting concept as well, I hope the writer(s) can exploit it until the end !
The men in this drama. What a waste.Unlike most of the comments here, Jin Hong grew on me. He gained confidence…
I 100% agree with you... I thought (or hoped maybe) that Jae Won would have the courage to follow her at the last minute but nope... and of course the mother went with her instead, I really don't understand what the writers wanted to convey with this kind of ending. For me, it seems like it washed away all the character development of Jin Hee and Eun Mi. I really thought Eun Mi finally understood that Jin Hee is a grown up that needs/wants to live by herself for the first time in her life and puts herself first but how is she suppposed to do that with Eun Mi following her everywhere. So disappointing...
Also I'm glad I didn't fully misunderstand this scene then ! Can't wait for friday to see what happens next !
