I completely agree with you !! I gave it a 8.5/10 despite the messy plot and the disappointing villain because the leads were awesome together and the production and OST were truly beautiful

I didn't mention them in my "review" but it's true that Mrs Ma Mr Gong were indeed pretty funny together, they were a welcomed addition to the FL's workplace, since her colleagues were awful. I just don't understand what the writers had in their mind when they decided to write such irritating characters. Well I understand that it was necessary for the story to show that the FL was excluded from nearly everyone around her but personally I think it would have been more interesting if they added another colleague to join their team in the middle of the drama to become a true friend to the FL.

As for the ML's parents, I don't like the fact that they made the mom pregnant just to have a "good" reason to stay with her husband, I know that we must differentiate between fiction and reality but for me it wasn't a smart choice to display that kind of decision to the audience in 2023...

I didn't watch Secret Garden yet but if it has a similar vibe to Destined with you, I will give it a try surely !!

I agree that the whole cast was great, it's just sad that some characters weren't fully developed and some things were left unsaid... But yeah it was great nonetheless and truly addicting haha

The last scene was truly heartbreaking but also beautiful... I already had tears in my eyes lol I don't know how I will react when we get the whole story of their past lives... thank you to whoever decided to cast the leads together because they are wonderful I will truly miss them when the drama ends in 2 weeks T-T

I guess that's why many people on here are saying their relationship is toxic etc. but even the FL remarked on his behavior so at least the writers don't try to sell this as "perfeclty healthy", also the fact that we still do not know if the love spell is real or not is surely a big 'no no' for many watchers... It's a risk they chose to take, let's trust the writers !

I kinda understand his reaction in this scene because he doesn't know what happened between them during their teenage years and I guess he thinks she's doing this because she feels betrayed and sad blablabla but yeah... I can't stand her anymore and I pray for the day he'll finally get to understand what his ex was truly like all along !! Maybe the CEO she's cheating with will spill the beans to the ML... because it doesn't seem like the FL will tell him the truth sadly

Omg I really can't wait for Shin Yu to discover the SFL's true face but when will it happen ??? How many more times do we need to see close up of her semi angry semi bored face arghh there isn't even one interesting thing about her character she's always the same !! I hope they won't drag this plot until the very end because she's not even interesting as a villain... Well I guess she isn't the main "villain" in this show but she's so superficial and one dimensional... I thought that we would at least see her "crumble" under the pressure of her family but it's not gonna happen it seems... and honestly the gardener still doesn't feel like a real villain to me lol BUT the leads have my heart so I'm excited for the next ep tomorrow !

Despite many negative comments here, I still really like it !! But I understand why many people are confused about the story, I think the editing is at fault here and it's true that the reveals are very slow and for now kinda unsatisfying since we are already at ep 10. Even so I'm going to watch it until the end because I love the leads chemistry and I also love reincarnation stories lol. I'm just a little disappointed about the gardener being the "real" villain but I guess we'll have to see... it doesn't seem like the SFL knows much about magic or curses either, even her father seemed conflicted about the FL's transfer so I think maybe that they are only "tools" used by the gardener who appears to remember his past life and wants revenge on the ML...

Haha yes it definitely took me a minute to understand what was going on with the shirt but I guess that's it, but surely there is another villain still hiding in the shadows ! I hope so at least...

Some people have really great theories and I pray that the writers won't let them down... Personally I'm also certain that something is still being left out and I can't wait for the plot to unravel !! The scene with tradional music as background (during the festival) was amazing it gave me chills. Well in my opinion all songs and background music in this drama are awesome, I hope we'll get an album at the end. And finally we have the flashback story !! I'm so excited for it (with a glimpse at the red hand too oh my !!).

Very interesting theories !! And wouah I completely forgot about the dead fish and the blood on the signboards !! So the dark curses were there since the beginning... It seems targeted then, but who would want to cause harm to the FL since episode 1 ? If I remember correctly, the ML and FL didn't even meet yet, or barely, since the fish scene was at the very start of the episode... Now that we think about it, it seems weird that the FL doesn't put those elements together, because it's not something very common to see when you have such an "ordinay" job...

You're right, I just don't quite understand why the SFL is so interested in the ML since she already has a lover (who's super rich too) and she's also the daughter of the mayor, so it's not like she's not poor either...their respective families are pushing toward their union it seems but what else can she gain from that ? I wonder how they will play their part in the story, but indeed, their presence will most likely increase now (unfortunately lol)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, I admit I was a little confused and bemused by what happened in episode 8 but now I understand the clues were there all along ! I'm even more hopeful for next week now haha

I agree with you on the fact that something was left out during the conversation between the ML and his grandma... Like you said, the emphasis was mainly on the ML's face during the book discovery scene, maybe because he knows that curses are real (with the red hand) and he was just trying to protect her but the fact that we didn't get the whole conversation before is suspicious ! Honestly I don't quite understand how the stalker, the curse book, and the SFL's obsession with the ML have in common but I hope we'll get more answers next week

Great theory !! I really hope the writers had something like this in their minds, it would be very disappointing if not... I wondered what could be the purpose of the black magic book but what you said makes perfect sense ! But I also wonder what is the true goal of the SFL... because she can't possibly love him while also cheating with another man... so why put a curse on him then...? Because of his family/backgroung? The SFL's father is the mayor so it doesn't seem very likely either... Anyway your theory made me think and I will surely re watch recent episodes to pay more attention to the details !

Regarding the ML, I agree with what you said, it's not that I dislike him but I can't help but put myself in the FL's shoes and I would absolutely go crazy if someone as hot as the ML continued to "toy" with me while having a girlfriend at the same time... For the beginning of the drama it didn't bother me because his behavior was due to the spell but now that he's way more aware of his feelings toward the FL, it's a little more hard to understand... But I have high hope for this couple so let's pray that the writers won't mess it up lol

And now that we know that black magic also exists in this world (or so it seems) I really really hope that nobody will have a sudden memory loss due to a curse... It was honestly the only thing that crossed my mind when the leads discovered it, and I wonder how it will be used to connect the characters together

Ahhh I don't know what to think about this drama anymore... I absolutely love the chemistry between our main leads (I also love both actors so that helps too) and I think the ML is quite fascinating but also kinda disappointing since the last 2 episodes... It was already being discussed in the comments below but why didn't he break up with the SFL ??? Is it because of his family ? Because he's sick again ? Just whyyyy --' poor FL is going to lose all her hair if he continues like this seriously !! Especially after the "name on the phone" scene, it was truly a low blow for her self esteem...
I also think something important is being left off and I wonder what it is...The whole trip into the forest to put the box back seemed weird...? Like the ML was waiting for something to happen ? I don't know if I'm reading too much into things but ep 8 was weird and I don't know what to expect now. And since we didn't get the whole conversation between him and his grandma, maybe there's something else behind his behavior ?
To be honest I'm kinda missing the playful vibes of the beginning... And I can't stand the FL's coworkers. I hope the writers aren't trying to sell us a "friendship" between them because they don't deserve the FL at all. The only time the FL seems to be truly herself is when she is with the ML... and also with the little boy lol. It's cute but a real female friendship would have been nice too. The fantasy element is also a little too weak for my taste... I hope the red hand will show itself again, it was so interesting !! Well with all that being said I still can't wait for next week ! And I also can't wait to finally see what happened during their past lives.
