I agree with you, I also think this scene was too much lol but I guess the writers wanted to portray the fact that Chae Ok acts on her emotions, even if she seems calm and professional at first glance... It also explains why she's adamant in saving her mother even after all these years... And surely they also wanted to make the ML greatly impacted by their first encounter, but indeed it was still a weird scene...

In the last ep, after they saved all the prisoners etc, one of the resistance's man talks to the co-owner of the golden house (the grandma) and she says that Tae Sang is the one to talk to if you want money, land, and even "people's lifes" (I don't remember her exact words) so does it mean that he was actually involved in the resistance before that ?? Even if he didn't want to join the actual group ? I wonder if I understood that part correctly

If we take into account the intro, it seems that the girl/woman falls into the sea and encounters the parasite here, so indeed there is a chance that it is just a creature that already lived there... and it appears that the parasite can either survives in water or in a host... Ahhh I really wonder how they're gonna explain all this lol

But the spores are created by the monster to protect itself I think ? So the spores wouldn't exist if the monster didn't exist first...? Or maybe I didn't understand that part lol

But I hope we'll get to see how they managed to discover the parasite because the parasite in itself doesn't seem like an experiment, more like an actual living thing that existed before the war... Did they actually caught an host "running in the wild", managed to capture it and took it to experience on it in the Manchurian lab, like you said ?

Maybe it was already discussed in the comments here but I wonder how the intro is tied to the actual story ? Because in the story it seems that the japanese created the monster but in the intro I got the feeling that the creature was already alive before that ? Like an alien maybe ? Or did I miss something ? Also, the girl in the intro, who is she ? The FL's mother maybe ?

There is a cat ! I don't remember in which episode exactly but I think it was when the FL missed the ML so much that she started hallucinating and saw him everywhere ^^

I 100% agree with you : I'm very glad that it's a happy ending for everybody but it was kinda weird to pass the encounter between the ML and the king as a "funny" scene when he should have been heartbroken instead, his reaction even made me think that he already knew about the fake death (or had a suspicion about it at least) but the reunion between them proved me wrong... a little disappointing since he "died" for her sake so I feel like it should have been even more poignant... regardless, it was still a really great drama and I will miss these characters very much :')

Well said !! The FL is awesome, she's still a ray of sunshine despite what she went through and she completes the ML perfectly

Maybe I missed something but I don't understand one thing with ep 13 : so we learn in this ep that the ML wanted the FL to continue living, even after she killed him but then why did he tried to kill her and seemed to resent her so much in the beginning ? It just doesn't add up... I was so excited about this drama, but I agree with many people here that it is quite disappointing in the end... :( but still the main actors did a great job so there's that

Yep I totally agree with what you said, I don't even understand the purpose of the ML's friend getting close with his mother if she didn't even get to divorce her husband in the end... Honestly I didn't even want for them to get together but I feel like the writers decided to make the mom stay with her husband at the last minute ?? It was a truly disappointing choice, especially in 2023...

I completely agree with you !! I gave it a 8.5/10 despite the messy plot and the disappointing villain because the leads were awesome together and the production and OST were truly beautiful

I didn't mention them in my "review" but it's true that Mrs Ma Mr Gong were indeed pretty funny together, they were a welcomed addition to the FL's workplace, since her colleagues were awful. I just don't understand what the writers had in their mind when they decided to write such irritating characters. Well I understand that it was necessary for the story to show that the FL was excluded from nearly everyone around her but personally I think it would have been more interesting if they added another colleague to join their team in the middle of the drama to become a true friend to the FL.

As for the ML's parents, I don't like the fact that they made the mom pregnant just to have a "good" reason to stay with her husband, I know that we must differentiate between fiction and reality but for me it wasn't a smart choice to display that kind of decision to the audience in 2023...

I didn't watch Secret Garden yet but if it has a similar vibe to Destined with you, I will give it a try surely !!

I agree that the whole cast was great, it's just sad that some characters weren't fully developed and some things were left unsaid... But yeah it was great nonetheless and truly addicting haha

The last scene was truly heartbreaking but also beautiful... I already had tears in my eyes lol I don't know how I will react when we get the whole story of their past lives... thank you to whoever decided to cast the leads together because they are wonderful I will truly miss them when the drama ends in 2 weeks T-T

That's true yes... I guess that's why many people on here are saying their relationship is toxic etc. but even the FL remarked on his behavior so at least the writers don't try to sell this as "perfeclty healthy", also the fact that we still do not know if the love spell is real or not is surely a big 'no no' for many watchers... It's a risk they chose to take, let's trust the writers !
