I suspect K-Drama are trying to tell us something about marriages in Korea, in every drama I have watched it seems…
not marriage but class and status. You wouldn't even be invited to their book club let alone marry their children if your status and background doesn't meet their idea of what is acceptable

Oh and let's not forget that she is the one who started the sexual advances. They did not come from the alcohol - the alcohol just let them loose. And she has been attracted to Luke from ep 1 before they even met.

Actually - the secret relationship = FROM MY VIEW POINT - is totally hers. starting from ep 1 - when she told her roommate - business first then love. Then she kept mentioning that she want to grow in the business, learn and excel in business - and dating would hinder that. I put 1 and 1 together and assume that she wants the secret relationship more than anyone because if it is revealed it will discount all of her hard work. People's perspectives will change from Flora is a hard worker to Flora slept her way to the top.
First - it is all love. π, I was making some sweet tea and was having some serious back and forth thoughts about this drama and realized - I AM TOO INVESTED.
LOL that means it is a really good drama or at least the writers really know how to strike a nerve or an attachment.
If I have offended anyone - it is not my intention. My words are only my thoughts and perspective - and they are not intended to make anyone change theirs or prove anyone right or wrong.
Complicated, but if you need a hard threshold then more toxic than not toxic for my impression. He has more power…
I think he is not fully aware of her lack of confidence because at work and their beginning - she was confident but not so much now in love. At work she is not concerned about status but oddly she thinks about it in now that she is in love - very duplicitous to herself - causing an internal conflict in herself that she cannot figure out...lol - how can he figure it out?
Luan Nian is contradictory. I have been trying to figure him out but he has seduced Tao and the rest of usπ…
Everything you mentioned are things you do for the people you care about. They are all far from seduction in this relationship..... because its changing Luke's everyday care to "calculated seduction" or manipulation completely and that misses what we've seen and their nuances. his acts of care - making her breakfast and protecting her-are 100% genuine - IMO. He isn't putting on an act to trick her; he genuinely wants to cherish and look after her. let's not forget that she was the one who wanted the relationship to remain a secret, he read her and remembered what she said and offered it. She accepted it because that is what she wanted. A facade of business over love. He is simply respecting her boundaries, not hiding her away to isolate her. She doesn't communicate because she can not get past her lack of confidence - it is self defeat at best. She shouldn't have to say she was jealous - she could simply ask who the girl was - because there is absolutely no reason to be jealous.

I think he is misunderstood. how is he a control freak? How is it that he won't admit that he loves her... HE CHASED HER. His repetitive question infers that he loves her. can you control love? to me that's asking her can you control your feelings towards me because I cannot control my feelings towards you. lack of communication on both ends - I agree.
but why does Luke have to tell her he loves her when she doesn't seem inclined to tell him?
we are all frustrated more than we need to be because they already told us what to expect and we are watching them destroy their relationship before it even started. and that is driving us nuts π
Yeah I find it strange. He used to that lifestyle, can't they find a middle-ground a do a bit of things he used…
of hers? They do that all the time walk and eat. π She obviously doesn't feel that she deserves good things, so they need to end it now. we know that won't happen but having a man with a grade A lifestyle and only be willing to enjoy a grade C lifestyle is a waste of a man. π ijs

he is a monster in the book but on screen it appears he truly cares for Flora

that's like saying I'm gonna eat ramen my whole life because steak is expensive.
again this is not stupidity, this is a lack of confidence and emotional reasoning which is illogical.
