I believe that SR has narcissistic personality disorder - and yet is also very practical, social, charming, fierce,…
it's a drama, how could I take it personally. But if I did it's totally my choice to do so. Lighten up on telling people how to think.
I don't find the first wife equally toxic. I find her a nuisance but not toxic at all. ML' parents... oh I see it seems you're taking other people's perspectives personally. I didn't mention anyone else but Se Ri and I should be able to not like a character. it also has nothing to do with the actress, I'm not even sure why she was mentioned.
Take your own advice and let go of taking it personally...
Although I'm thoroughly enjoying the drama. I don't think the writer did the adaptation well from source to screen. Because they are trying to tell the story from the source but it's not the story we're watching on screen.
Screen Luke is not a bad guy Screen - they are not in a bad relationship So it's hard for me to buy Flora's sorrow. ----- and again they took 2 people who were communicating well enough, made them a committed couple, then worsened their communication. --- the drama is good, really good but it still has its flaws. interestingly the flaws don't take away from the appeal at all. --- I almost appreciate the deviation because I don't think Luke would be a likeable character if written for screen as he was in source.
And I think this would have been like most Kdramas which are emotionally heavy or dark.
Too bad Flora is not taking advantage of Luke while they are together. I would be looking at my watch on Sunday at 11:59 pm and the next minute ... 7-0-8-0-0
Complicated, but if you need a hard threshold then more toxic than not toxic for my impression. He has more power…
The only option for her not to lose anything is to not date him. Unequal footing is their whole relationship from start to finish.
There are no rules that can stop her losing more than he will if there secret is found out - that is why she wants it to be a secret. She had a choice - no relationship at all, secret relationship. She chose what she wanted. She wanted Luke as much as he wanted her. She made her choice and she can still backout - but she can't because "SHE CAN'T CONTROL HER LOVE" π
I keep going back to her initial interest - she was hooked on Luke before she met him. Episode 1 her arrival to LIME - she was like a moth drawn to a flame as she passed him. She stared at him as if she never saw a man before.
Whether he can meet her needs or not - if she does not voice it it becomes her internal problem. Who else can she speak to about her secret relationship but him? He was interested in her but her intoxicated sexual advances pushed him to the point of no return.
Soyi, him chasing her stemmed from her intoxicated initiative. LOL - at this point I am ready for them to break up so they can rebuild. To me they are equally right for each other and equally wrong for each other. I think the writers created great angst by revealing the suffering aspect before it happened. At this point I do not see any suffering - I just see "Allure & Illusion" - renaming the show...π
Iβm with you on this one. People are so quick to say heβs such a red flag. She needs to leave him. Blah blah…
The "we aren't the same circle" is her appeasing her own lack of confidence. We can see that he does not give 2 flying squirrels about her background - he just wants all of her - a lot of her - but he settled on Fridays. lol. But classism is a part of the culture so it is understandable. Honestly - we know as soon as his parents find out that is a whole new issue. So partly she isn't wrong - the other part - yeh - she should have stayed away.
Oh and let's not forget that she is the one who started the sexual advances. They did not come from the alcohol…
There was no line to draw with his friend until she confessed. She came off as a sisterly friend. She held her emotions well until the trip - then he drew the line as he should have. All he did was give her a ride prior to that. Flora isn't projecting because she is emotionally paralyzed once she has a thought of doubt. instead of self projecting she internalizes things when it comes to him - which is worse than self projecting because she is making herself a victim but others blame him. It would be better if she voiced her opinion like she usually does. Like how she was loud and bold about the proposal the office guy told her to rewrite. Where has that Flora gone? When it comes to Luke after their vow of commitment she lost that voice with him. Which is her subconscious choice. Not something she intends to do - it is just inherent.
Oh and let's not forget that she is the one who started the sexual advances. They did not come from the alcohol…
People have different perspectives and views. what one is able to calculate from logic another may calculate from experience or belief.
Also missing 1 detail can change a view. That's why no one whole group agrees with what's going on in a drama.
my view point for flora is that she isn't weak or naive. others think she is. I don't think she is weak. I think she lacks confidence with louds her judgement and defeats herself.
but if someone thinks she is weak and he is strong it wouldn't be hard to think he manipulated her.
I have not seen any type of manipulation from him. lol I mean he has not done anything special that isn't expected of a boyfriend.
Is he rude? Rude is disrespectful and bad manners. I find him cold and straight forward.

She wasn't smart enough to secure her home to ensure it was solely hers.
She wasn't smart enough not to keep the seals in unlocked drawers.
Such an idiot.
I knew she was gonna get scammed but not like that.
