my predictions for the final three ended up coming true... congrats to the winner and finalists! loved the whole series and how it focused more on the personal journeys and the meaning of cooking to each of these chefs. the vast variety of people, from high profile chefs to less experienced self taught chefs that began cooking just as a way to make ends meet being brought together by their shared passion for food is really wonderful to see. i would love to see a second season of this! i'm sharing my not-spoiler free thoughts in the replies below.
the restaurant challenge was really entertaining to watch, especially with how close it was between the 3rd and 4th teams... i would've loved to have had that dim sum dish, no wonder it sold the most units. the lobster as well. also really wasn't expecting to see chef rush there as a customer so that was a pleasant surprise. i think all the teams did really well, even if the three-person team was under even more pressure than the others with being down one person and having added time pressure. even up until the end it was very close to call.
for ep 10, the fact that chef choi scored so highly even without adding the garlic shows how insanely good his dish must've been. i personally feel like triple star and edward lee should've been scored higher for their interpretations though.
this is so good and really entertaining so far, really enjoying how diverse the backgrounds of all the chefs are, even the judges. i feel as hooked as i was when watching physical 100 except it's with food this time. the idea to do the completely blind judging was excellent as well, it's fun to watch the two judge chefs debate over the dishes.
i wonder why they're only having such a low no of episodes this time... will def be tuning in for my man wi hajoon as well as lee jungjae. very curious about kang haneul's role too as he's also a fav
totally agree with the people saying that watching this makes them feel incredibly single lmao i feel like i'm intruding even though the scenes are always so dark which is my one gripe... but bless director ahn for finally casting hajoon in a romance drama where he gets the girl
gotta admit that i don't typically go for slow paced dramas or slice of life stuff and i'm trying to grasp the education system meanings / terminology in the drama so it has yet to properly grow on me.... but i like the cinematography so far and i'm here to support hajoon in this project
