Seriously, I skipped Scarlet Rheo. I wasn't a fan of the CDrama and even my love forLJK wasn't going to get me…
That's fair enough! I know Moon Lovers wasn't everyone's cup of tea, and I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did as it's hard for me to get into melodramas most of the time. But I'm glad it took me by surprise and convinced me to be a LJG fan! I really liked his acting there and he continues to impress me in Lawless Attorney too : )
Hi, I wanted to know your reason...whats with the complex with Criminal Minds?just a casual disc :)
No real reason, I personally just couldn't get into it and lost interest. I always try and support a project if there's an actor or actress I like in it, but sometimes they don't grow on me as much as I'd like.
While I am enjoying the show, i do spend a lot of time wanting to force feed lee joon gi. That boy is so skinny…
I agree... I know LJG is naturally on the slimmer side but it's a lot more noticeable here than in his previous works. Glad you're still enjoying the drama though!
I really like the drama quite a bit. I like the way the romance is being developed with a lot being left unsaid.…
I agree with you in that regard with the romance, since it is primarily a law/action/revenge drama and that's how it has been marketed. I wasn't expecting it to be much of a focus but I've enjoyed how it's been included so far.
In terms of it being original, I think it was more the combination of it being so action-heavy while also being centred on law that I found refreshing personally rather than the specifics of the plot. And as you mentioned, the characters are all very complex/intriguing so far, which shows strong acting and also good writing.
The part about it being inspired for a real life case is definitely an interesting consideration - I wasn't aware of that being the case. I'll have to look into that when I get the chance.
I'm glad you're enjoying LL though, despite not being a fan of legal dramas! Thanks for reading : )
Thanks for your article. I have reached Episode 8 and although I am enjoying this drama very much I find the plot…
Thank you for reading! : ) I feel like a lot of people have pointed out that the main ship is moving too quickly, but I'd like to think the romance is pretty realistic in terms of portraying an adult relationship... the common drama trope with the whole "big revelation / confession scene" is too overused/unrealistic in my personal opinion, so I'm glad that the chemistry feels natural instead in terms of progression
Personally, I rarely watch this kind of drama as I grow bored rather easily if a drama is slow-moving or is melodrama-heavy. But that being said, I've been hearing good things about Just Between Lovers so I might give it a try at some point, it's just not my main priority on my plan to watch list - nice article, I enjoyed reading.
Really didn't expect the romance to progress so quickly (I'd originally pegged this for a slow burn with more focus on the crime/law plot but I love how fast-paced the drama is overall so I'm not complaining), but the kiss / implied bed scene was executed really well, especially with the impact of the emotional scenes leading up to that part.
I'm liking how they're not shying away from showing more realistic adult relationships too, which is something I can really appreciate in a drama, such as how they also showed more deep/passionate kisses and the lead-up to/afterglow of an implied bed scene in Suspicious Partner.
I haven't seen the original so I can't compare in that regard, especially as this seems like a pretty direct scene-for-scene adaptation, but I feel as though the initial couple of episodes were really strong, yet after that it felt pretty lacklustre and my interest just kinda faded around the episode 4 mark.
Plus, it faces stiff competition from other law dramas, such as the currently airing Lawless Lawyer which has a more unique premise from what I've seen so far.
A very wise decision by the production team. Drunk or not, there's absolutely no excuse in what he did, as the impact of his actions on the victim will stick with her for a very long time. I wish the best for her and hope that appropriate measures are made to prevent him from doing this again. It's a sad reminder that the #MeToo campaign still continues to fall on deaf ears...
Ye line all the way - I'm so done with the selfish jerk of a male lead getting the girl after using her and treating her so badly until he catches feelings for her himself. It's totally self-centred, and I believe Bo Young deserves someone who is consistent in treating her with respect instead of publicly humiliating her all the time. She's far too good for Min Ho.
It's been a while since I've anticipated a drama's release this much and the chemistry between the leads is already showing from official photos and clips... I'm beyond ready for this
