Yeah true, if you compare for example Fullmetal Alchemist Br. and Alchemy if Souls which are both stories with alchemy, it's very clear that FMAB L's story has better world building and alchemy rules (and even romance) 🤣

I totally agree, Mouse has the most well written psychopath I have ever seen in a drama.

Yes that's true. Bareum was abused by his step father since he was young and never received any psychiatric help. Also, he didn't want to be a monster or be treated as one by society.  He was really desperate  and he forced himself to put on a mask and hide all his psycho traits so no one could recognise his personality's flaws.

And on top of that, his family (which he loved deep inside) was killed and he became an orphan. The killer was never caught and Bareum was the main suspect. He naturally wanted to take revenge but he had litteraly forgotten about it and he was living normally untill the age of 25 without commiting any murder.
But then Oz organazation triggered him and he killed the murderer of his family and them he became a killer. If Oz never interfered in Bareum's life he would have lived normally as an ordinary person. His story is pretty sad, the government took advantage of his nature (psycho gene) and used him as the stepping stone of their dark purposes

Oh great then! It's one of the best (if not the best) episodes of this drama imo. Have fun watching😁

Did you watch the first episode of "Mouse: the Predator"? I think this episode is what you are looking for. It was aired after ep. 15 of the drama.

I found it unrealistic and a little off-vibe too, but I think we will maybe see what really happened on that scene with a more "logical" timeline in ep14

The ending was the main reason I didn't enjoy the drama after all, it was the cherry on top that made me not ignore any other issues I had with the story🤣

Poor vs Rich is very common theme in kdramas yes, I like it when it's well done but I'd like to see something different and original.

Lol I'm writing it again. I never said anything about you commenting that you like/dislike a drama that MDL community dislikes/likes. There is nothing wrong with that at all.

There was a reason why I ONLY highlight the phrase "i thought we all loved this show" from your comment and the reason was that this phrase was the one I wanted to comment on and nothing else

When you make a general assumption about something like "I thought we all like the drama" you can't rely on just to your circle, it's unscietific. I advise you to not do it because that way you build a false image about something that can get crushed any time, like it happened when you opened MDL and saw all those negative comments on a drama you thought everyone loves dearly.

If you don't like my advise, then don't take it, it's okay. I just hope my pov was well explained this time.

It makes perfect sense for me and my friends to have the same taste, as it seems you have the same taste with your twitter circle, there's no any reason for being shocked that people you don't have any interaction with on MDL, hence they are not in your circle, dissagreeing with the conclusion you formed, which is that all the people love this drama.

What I'm saying is, you should not rely to only the ones who have similar taste with you and generalize that ALL the people like or dislike a drama, that's all.

There will always be people who dislike dramas we love and by seeing post of people on twitter and assume that everyone loves it, it's a little illogical sorry. Don't be so sure about things because you will only get dissapointed later and question why things don't make sense, like now.

Also, when a drama has built a fandom, it's not easy for people who dislike it comment on it. They will be called haters or be attacked because of their opinion by that fandom, like I was, when I wrote a "negative" review about this drama.

Yeah I think that's the case. The stats show that people at ages 13-24 enjoyed it more than the other ages.

Yes, Kim Go Eun really did a good job, I think In Jo was the best sister both writing and acting wise. Maybe this was because she had also more screentime than the other two🤔

My issue with second sister is mainly that being alcoholic was a part of her personality, but it was forgotten, so she felt empty. Also she didn't achieve anything by herself in the drama, even as a reporter. She never shined 🤷‍♀️

But yeah, if the mystery was good, or the storytelling was good, then I wouldn't mind any of these things. And I'm mainly dissapointed because exactly as you said, the drama could easily have been better, it had almost everything to achieve that.

Fortunatelly it is beautiful, so it's the perfect drama if you just want to watch something without thinking too much because you just wanna relax.

Yeah many people started this because of the novel reference and I see many other saying that the will start it because of it. Tbh this annoys because it's like a trap. Many people will see the title and just think it's a modern adaptation/inspiration when it's not.
Agree, the production is almost flawless and it's really a pitty that the story doesn't stand on the same level with it. ☹️

Yes, I couldn't find any meaning behind the story too. It was more like the drama implied that poor people will do anything about money because they are that petty but also, money don't buy happiness but then, at the end of the drama everyone ended up happy and rich without any problems🤷‍♀️
Yes, I agree the story was choppy and solve the problems with the easiest and most convenient way possible. I found the way they used alcoholism as a the fitting for example in my review because it is the less spoilerish among them and the more serious one because it's an addiction.

But seriously, with Jin Hwa Young's return, the writer pressed the undo button and canceled the whole story, amazing 🤣

You know, you can't compare personalised ratings with the general rating of the dramas.
The gerenal rating of dramas comes from the average score of all the people who rated it with all the scores possible. Even in dramas with rating over 9 on MDL, there are people who have rated it with 1,2, 3, 4, 5 etc (look for example at the score statistis of My Mister https://kisskh.at/25172-my-ajusshi/statistics).

So my point is, I am the one who decides how hight or low I will rate a drama in my personal watchlist and in my personal text in which I'm expressing my own opinion on MDL and Statistics are the one who will give the general rating on MDL. If you have problem with it because according your to comment, not even the worst dramas get this kind of ratings, then I'm sorry but you have to study Statistics because you are not used to them like I am not used to MDL 😉😉
