Based on how only one soul can inhabit a body (as shown by the switch between Queen and Shaman Choi), it wasn't…
Hmm yes your statememt makes a lot of sense. Yet I want to see if in the next season we will get some answers about this, or Mu Deok will be forgotten for everš¤£
(Hehe thank you! I like playing with titlesšš¤£)
Based on how only one soul can inhabit a body (as shown by the switch between Queen and Shaman Choi), it wasn't…
Hmm Mu Deokās and Naksuās body sifting is quite āspecialā in the drama. Many fans believe that the soul of Mu Deok remained in the body just with no control of it.
There are 2 times when Mu Deok took control of her body after body sifting, one when Naksu and Uk where on master Leeās house and one when she said āmotherā when her mother struggled Naksu.
Now there is also a possibility that Mu Deokās soul was just wondering around on that surreal place we see every time someone is changing bodies during alchemy of souls.
BUT these are just theories based on what the story has shown so far. None of the above is confirmed and we will never know for sure unless we see what actually have happened by Mu Deokās point of view.
I mean if you think about it, the fact that Naksu sifting into Mu Deokās body and not to the body she had chosen originally is surely Mu Deokās doing. Mu Deok is responsible of the outcome of Naksuās body sifting and we donāt know WHY she did it š
So yeah, I wouldnāt say itās a plot-hole but that the writers didnāt pay any attention to it and explained it very poorly (by spiting hints here and there without confirming anything).
Iām waiting for some explanations in S2 and I better get them š
There is nothing wrong with trying to propagate an idea.
With your statement above what you are doing is not propagation of your idea, youāre trying to manipulate the general order of the reviews to match it to your liking.
The propagation of your idea ended by posting your review and commenting on people to read it/vote it.
Now let people read and react freely. Let ALL the others who have stated an opinion negative or positive to be heard even if you disagree with them.
I think you perfectly pointed out all the reasons I have a love-hate (okay most hate) relationship with this dramaš Itās a pity how this drama has so many good elements but failed to deliver the story really š„ŗ
The problem with body sifting, especially when it's live action, is to make clear to the audience that the one who is in the body is not the owner. In AoS I think they have partly failed with Mu Deok and Naksu.
Naksu was an assassin, she was killing everyone in cold blood. Naksuās assassin-personality is nowhere to be found and her first goal stops being mentioned. Before the soul sifting, she wanted to get revenge on those who killed her father. Couple episodes after the soul-sifting, she learnt her father was a soul shifter, she understood that she was being used by the bad guys yet she didnāt do anything self-beneficial. Naksu may not have a powerful body after the body sifting, but this isnāt an excuse for her personality and feelings to not exist.
So, after the soul sifting, she acquired a new persona, Mu Deok, which is a very entertaining personality but not Naksu. My problem though, was not that I didnāt see Naksuās personality in Mu Deok, my problem was I didnāt see the gradual changing of Naksuās personality to Mu Deok. Naksu just stopped being Naksu, like her character was suddenly inactivated, waiting for the second season to be active again.
One way to show that a different personality is in a body, is by showing the difference between the personalities of the body owner and the parasitizing soul. In AoS's case, knowing both Mu Deokās and Naksuās personality.
Mu Deok is allowing Naksu's soul to stay in her body for whatever reason. The first season ended and we still donāt know the reason. We can theorize about it, but it still remains a theory and not something confirmed and valid because Mu Deokās personality/character isnāt defined in the drama so we cannot acknowledge the reason why she wanted to save Naksu (a stranger). Mu Deok is mentioned and shown many times in the series but she is still unknown, because we havenāt been introduced into her mindset, thus we cannot spot the difference between Naksu and Mu Deok.
Considering all the above, itās only logical that the later switch to Naksuās body will create an enormous confusion to the viewers and they have all the rights to feel that way, because the writers themselves didnāt take this issue into consideration. Even in episode 19 Mu-Deok said to Seo Yul that she wasnāt the girl he used to know, Naksu. How after such a statement can you bring Naksu the assassin back?
Lastly, I watched the drama āBlackā these days, where something similar to body shifting happens. In that drama the different personalities in different bodies are very well written. Even if there was character development in the drama, I didnāt feel for once that the soul who is in the body is the owner of that body too. After seeing such a good execution of ādifferent body-different soulā in Black, I canāt do anything else than seeing how Alchemy of Souls is lacking in that department.
That's very sad, I did read that they changed the ending from what she intended it to be, but seems it was a lot…
Yeah itās sad that they changed many thing in general, Iād love to watch/read the original one. To be honest I havenāt understand how ending was suppose to be. I think that it would have ended before the FLās second life started. But anyway, I have now made peace with the original endingš¤£
If you watched ep. 15 then watch Mouse special, the predator (only the first episode). Itās explained in detail…
Glad you finally understood and you liked the ending. š¤
The truth is the drama gave hints from the start but itās difficult to find them out. I remember a person on twitter made theories about who is the killer while the drama was airing and it all came out true in the end š¤£
Oh wow. I can feel her pain as a writer to have your work distorted and without your approval. I hope she will…
Yes it must be a very traumatic experience. I wouldnāt have taken it lightly at all if I was in her place. I didnāt find the original script somewhere and Idk if she will ever publish it. She has said though what was different on the ending and I prefer it too. (I wonāt tell since itās a spoiler)
Youāre welcome! I had Black in my official on-hold list for at least a year too 𤣠You can do it too! (1.5x is your friend)
Question : "We had a review of the drama Black on our magazine website, and there seems to be many who are perplexed about the dramaās ending. We are curious to know what your intent was and what you wanted the viewers to take from its ending."
If you watched ep. 15 then watch Mouse special, the predator (only the first episode). Itās explained in detail…
āDid she mistakenly recognize that the child she was strangling was actually not her child???ā This is actually a very good theory. This could actually have happened but.. you will get your answer on ep. 19 (I think)
Yo Hanās mother threw up after she watched Ba Reum at the hospital, why did she react that way? š¤
As you see, everything about her is very suspicious. So have that in mind as you watch the next episodes š
Youāre welcome, Iām glad I helped somehow š

Jae Hoon is Ba Ruem. In predator second episode he said he changed his name to this because it means something (I donāt remember). Anyway 2nd ep of predator is just a recap of the murders.
About āhe killed his whole family thingā. Since episode one we are seeing the killer saying āMy first murder was sloppyā¦.ā and while saying that he is killing the boxer. So, did he killed his family? And which members of his family have been killed? We never saw dead bodies expect the father.
The above with the family will be explained until ep. 19.
āhis mother (Han Sea Jun's wife) strangled him and said "die, die, a monster like you should just die.ā This will also be explained later.
Why does he (Yo Han) have to follow Bong Yi's grandmother? He didnāt wanted to kill her so to save her, from Ba Reum.
Ba Reum was the one who killed Bong Yiās grandma, it was shown in ep 15 if I remember correctly. On episode 2, grandma had noticed that a button was missing and sewed a new one in Ba Reumās shirt. The grandma saw the missing button from Ba Reumās shirt in the photo.
Thank you for reading š¤

I just read yours and we totally agree on what you said. I also think you went a little deeper to the detailing š
