the original japanese version has a more darker plot. this is a diluted/mild version ( probably to cater to domestic market). I think japanese audience are more accepting of a darker/daring drama ( from watching both japanese and korean dramas. I have watched both version and i liked the japanese version better. I know it was both tragic ending with the korean version giving the audience some peaceful resolution from my perspective but the impact of the japanese version was so intense for me.

Both ML and SML acting were on point. The plot was cliche, a variation of Cinderella's story ( poor girl/rich man); all the conflicts were also cliches' meddlesome inlaws; annoyingly stubborn and clingy second leads, corporate politics ( in which someone was trying to steal the company).all cliches but somehow the dialogues were amusing and noteworthy which made the plot interesting. I did enjoy the conversation which should be more enjoyable if i liked the FL. I tried so hard not to fast forward almost her scenes ( especially romantic scenes) which defeated the purpose of watching a romantic story; which should be enjoyed with the romantic scenes.

I think I am just biased with Jang Nara's acting. The FL acting was so forced for me; all the mannerisms irritated me. Her potrayal of optimistic and exuberance was unbearable for me. It was shallow and overacting. I did not have the "feels" unlike when I watch Jang Nara which make me feel all emotions ( i.e Jang nara in Fated to Love You).
I dont know if the FL was written to be so annoying but the actress interpretation of her role irritates me. I like strong FL not weak. There are qualities of the female lead that I reaaly like but I cant stand the actress. It is probably the reason why this drama series had a ratings which is quite low . I found the story interesting even with cliche plot. If Jang Nara was the FL then this drama will have a higher rating.
Jang Nara delivery (acting ) was so good, those eyes and little mannerisms. I usually hate weak FL but Jang Nara made this weakness a strength by her phenomenal acting.
FL is an idiot. I will never be a maid ( FL cooked, cleaned and did grocery shooping for ML's girlfriend just because of guilt. The writers made the Fl so uncaring at the latter part of the series . very immature ( she cant even discussed the reason why FL was so angry at the ML until the very the last few epsiodes. When somebody ( best friend and ML) advised her to at least discussed what made her so mad at ML, she just ignored the advise. she cant think independently where the SML needed to do something drastic just to make her listened.ML made several attempts to discuss things with her but writer made her very uncaring until the last minute.
Fated to Love you . The reasons why I liked the korean version ( and Thai remake) (1) ML was less cruel than Taiwanese version (2) phenomenal acting by main leads ( Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara (3) ML was more decisive in his decison ( unlike the chinese and Taiwanese versions where the ML was actually having an two relationship at the same time; an affair ( i know that he has a girlfriend prior to the accident but in my books, it is still an affair ML was married after all ( 4) this chinese remake made FL noble idiocy to the next level.
I have watched all the versions of this drama. liked the korean version better than any other remake; the acting…
the latter part was disaster. The witers made the FL so dumb and uncaring which was contrary to her character on the first few episodes ( why can a person who cant even kill a cockroaches. There was dissonance of FL characterization just to create conflict and moved the story
I have watched all the versions of this drama. liked the korean version better than any other remake; the acting of jang hyuk and Jang Nara were phenomenal. The thai version was also good, but less romantic scenes. Thai version trimmed all unnecessary stories and focused more on the main couple ( i.e Anson love angles).
This chinese remake has more coherent storyline on the first part but lost steam on the later part.
This lakorn is polarizing viewers. some viewed it as the best thai lakorn of 2022 while others are appalled with one of its storyline. It was tagged as forbidden love which may mean a lot of things. It should be tagged as probable incestous relationship. It was implied by some scenes and dialogue but not confirmed. It should also have trigger warnings. some people who have expereinced this type of relationship have mental health issues, some commits suicide because of this type of relationship. We should at least give a warning to these people are triggered because of this. Please editor could you please amend the tags.
the earlier part was interesting but the later parts are all cliché. There were nothing new and I became bored and just skip most of the scenes until the final
FL is so dumb. She is all making decisions because of her assumptions and major decisions with regards to life and death based on assumptions are plainly dumb decisions. She is a coward. sometimes even if the truth hurts, you need to ask.
I do not think this is funny; father is neglectful of his responsibility and both parents are clueless about what their eldest son is doing for his family to fed and satisfy their needs; the eldest son is "parentified"l taking responsibilities that the parents should be doing
This chinese remake has more coherent storyline on the first part but lost steam on the later part.
