Everybody in the Gong's family have somewhat forgiven YD except her. As they say, children usually win over their parents if it( parent's preference) is causing so much unhappiness on the child, usualy the parents give in. but this is so drama, so its not normal LOL

you have a point there. It was hypothesize that JH was abducted but probably it is also possible that TK was the one who was abducted. I will also throw this out there, in conjunction with your theory that probably TK was abducted by IO. The mother of JH gave birth to twins JH/Tk. IO had an affair with JH/Tk's father and was abandoned, in retaliation abducted TK?

Thats my theory, TK/JH have same father and different mothers. JH said he was an orphan ( but also invested his time advising single mother ( the seminar that TK/JH/YD have attended, TK/JH as volunteers? and YD as attendee.

I cannot remember if TK's dad died. All I knew is that IO was single mother since she was pregnant( give birth alone, brought up TK alone anf then when TK was teen (20 years ago) IO married CS.

JH never mentioned his dad, I think, YD/TK's mothers are single mothers. And my theory is that TK/JH's dad is a playboy who impregnated both mother but never married either.

I have not thought about this scenario. My theory in the past is that TK/JH have the same father with different mothers or even probably twins.

I dont understand why Sj is still around the Gong's family. She is not welcome even Granny and IO keep telling her to move on. How many times will your pride and dignity must be trampled on until it registers in her brain, that she cannot win, Its been a year since YD left and nothing is happening between her and TK. TK even said that she despises her. What more do you need. The writer keep using this trope of obsessive and clingy SFL. Can the writer come up with a better story line than this obseession.

another theory that I have to pave the way for DW and YM romance is that YD's mother is different from DW ( and still have the twin gene because of BN).

It was hinted that DS the UNcle spent the inheritance of YD and said sorry to YD and never said sorry to DW. So DW might have a different father fromYD.

That also explains all the nastiness of BN. One she is from the Gong family ( who are quite obnoxious people).

Two- BN could have an affair with the father of Jay and DW. But Jay has a mother ( different from DW), they might have been brothers?. This explains why she likes YD to have an abortion and threatened her family that she will kill herself if YD give birth alone, because she had experience of giving birth alone?

Jay and DW- they keep hinting that they look alike. Some are suggesting that they are twin. if they are twins what happened in the past, Some are hinting that he was adopted (to pave way for the romance between DW and YM (Tk's stepsister because if not they are cousins if BN is strawberry).

I think you something there. I remember that IO was alone when he gave birth to TK ( Episode 3 28.17) " I was alone when I gave birth to my baby" . This the scene when IO was drinking soju with YD at the food cart. This might be the seed that the writer sprinkled through out the drama. I was also wondering about the similarities in taste between TK and JH. My theory is TK's father and JH's father was probably the same. He had an affair with IO (thats why she gave birth alone) while JH is the legitimate son?

This might also explain why he was so interested with NX company. The mother of JH had died and probably one of the factors contributing to her death was because of heartbreak (?) from the affair of JH's father with TK's mother?

The only parent (although not real father but an uncle) that I think love YD unconditionally is the Uncle Dae Sang. YD's and TK's mother were so furious of her when she (YD) did not fulfill their expectation.

Mother thought that she will be "star " lecturer, but she became pregnant ( in the last epsiode she said I hate my grandchild because the grandchild destroyed YD' life; her vison of YD's life to be; not what YD wanted it to be).

TK's mother loathe (a very strong word of hate) her and her baby because she lied ( I know it was a big lie not white) , but circumstances forced her to lie. It was not her lie that she initiated but they all contributed to this lie.

(1)From the jerk ex-boyfriend who cheated , and wanted YD to abort the baby which left YD to abort herself but had a change of heart due to growing affection to the Real in the womb. Initially she wanted to raise Real alone but TK comes along
(2) Grandmother and SeJin forcing TK yo marry SJ
(3) The father wjho was unable to protect his adopted son from his biological children and just followed whatever the grandmother says
(4) YD mother and brother to abort her baby and trying to asceratin who impregnated YD, then emotionally manipulating YD ( kill herself) if she give birth alone

The series of circumtances forced YD and TK to lie about the parentage of REAL, but they just blame YD and TK for this lie and YD borne the brunt of this lie ( she had to hide because she lied). They all dodging their portion of the lie which was immature and not reflecting properly of their share of the lie. They are all selfish and were not self-aware.

The biggest culprit is perhaps the exbf who was so obnoxious and abusive that TK had to lie that he was the one who impregnated YD.

But the final blow is YD's mother. Remember she wanted to come clean with her mother about who is the biological father but YD's mother t had gone missing ( YD's afraid) so she crashed TK's wedding and even suprprised TK because she declined his offer of marriage initially.

So blaming YD solely because of this lie was uncalled for.She bear the consequences of all their actions, instead of supporting her, they all blame her.

I dont like watching current drmas airing because I want to binge watch it but I did not research properly that this is an ongoing drama.

I have to join the fray. I do not think it is a noble idiocy what YD have done. I think I am in the camp that she was protecting her baby. When she was contemplating her next move, the flashback of TK/s mom saying she LOATHED YD and the baby and ex boyfriend telling her that she cannot live in peace ( paraphrasing) because he ( exbf) will come everyday to claim ownership of the baby and she cannot escape. Also YD/s mother reaction to the baby initially trying to kill herself ( emotionally manipulative). and her kneeling befor TK/s mother.

Everyone of them did not support her and I do not blame her. She was protective of her baby. This in contrast to TK's mother who was unable to protect TK from the Gong.s family . He was ostracised, discriminated upon, and being suspected of trying to "claim" the Gong's children inheritance. And TK became lonely, cold and distant.

The ML has hepatic failue due to Hepatitis B and toxic drug effects and used liver transplantation as a cure to the illness. But the writer did not research thoroughly the subject mtter.The writer used overalll slice of life approach to the drma but used a miracle in resoving this arc of the drama. I thought it was a cop out by the writer of being so freely throwing all sorts of obstacles to ML to gain sympathy from viewers and when they cannot realisticall resolve this issue relaistically used a miracle to save the ML from dying. They did not even touch on adjunct treatment option to liver failure due to hep B s to decrease rejection of the transplanted issue.

Overall this drama was great watch with slice of life approach in dealing with trauma of being victim/survivor of a collapsed shopping centre. It realsitically shown the pain, suffering of those left behind, survivor guilt, regret of not doing more when they were alive, pain, loneliness and just trying to survive despite all these emotions.

It has a happy ending although there is an element of miracle on it, where the writer was a cynic a miracle but used it anyway. Writers dont research medical facts thoroughly or ask some someone knowleadgeable about this sublect matter, which is the reason I do not like medical dramas.

This drama was not as bad as some of the comments and was hesitating to watch it.I enjoyed it.

1. some viewers criticized the potrayal of the female lead ( as if she is someone special, when she does not have some special gifts ). I think she is better than most ;leads in asian dramas. She has soft skills ( social skills) honed by years of customer service where she need to deal with passengers of various backgrounds and some are quite irritating. I think just because she does not special skills or being gifted (i.e., adept in piano, painting etc) but she has emotional intelligence. Shge is honest, sincere, can articulate what she needs/wants ( decisive) and can de-escalate concerning situations.

2. although we wanted/needed supportive family relationships but sometimes we have to cut off relationships or put some formidable boundaries when some relatives have wronged us.

The main premise of the drama ( protecting the ownership of the land by the FL) in which all the main protagonist have a hand in making the life of the ML quite painful and traumatic. They all have a happy ending without repercusions and the ML just bear with it. The ML has PTSD and panic attacks and they just make it seems like nothing in the end because he has the love and companionship of the FL. The father and uncle are reaping the rewards of the sacrifice of the ML which I thought was poor writing. We all want happy endings but have they thought of fair and just ending for these characters.

the romance was so confusing, the story is so circular and never ending tedious messed up storyline where both leads are not sure up to the end where the relationship is. They probably aiming for second season, but it was so frustrating and I just fast forward a lot of scenes.

the story is interesting but messy. it is not typical story. I do not if it is only me, but I found out that most Asain dramas have a very messed up parents. I do not know where these writers especially this writer get their inspirations about parents in asian culture. This writer made the mother so appaling, made the son so messed up as well and just sorry near the end and everything is forgiven.

The author is quite biased to Thai lakorn i.e Tawipob -10 ( usually Thain lakorn is acquired tatste and have a lower score in MDL than kdrama.; while Goong is 1.5 which is considered as classic in kdrama. well, different strokes for different folks.

my inerpretaion is that Honglim is quite torn between his growing affection to the Queen and his loyalty to the King.

Prior to that scene ( where his eyes full of tears while hugging the King) after the third night of sexual encounter with the Queen, he volunteered to go to the countryside with the excuse of trying to made up for his negligence of his duties as chief bodyguard. My interpetation of the excuse was that sexual encounter with the Queen was affecting him profoundly He then went back to the palace, secretly watching the Queen while she was doing her religous rituals..

Then at nightime , ( sleeping together with his closest friends ) , he was having flashbacks of his sexual encounter with the Queen. My interpretation, he was wondering why the Queen responded to him sexually, and quite affected by it. He enjoyed the sex and was confused.

He then bought the perfume necklace and was thinking of throwing it away in the water ( he did not) and gave it to the Queen. He was stealing glances to the Queen at the stairs ( after being summoned together with the Queen by the King) He lowered his eyes when the Queen stopped walking and side glanced to him but after that hhe was following her with his eyes.

Some of the scenes that showed his growing affection to the Queen
1. he gave the perfume necklace to her
2. he gave her honeysuckle tea to the Queen when she was sick, then lied about it to the King
3.He was closely watching her during the festivities while the Queen was sitting with the King.
4. When Ho baek asked him to eat the sweet rice cake, and talked Ho Baek and when he looked again at where the Queen was sitting, she was not there. He was very anxious and thats when the Maid asked him to go the library
5. the first sexual encounter in the library was the first affirmation that the Queen also liked him and the affair began. they both liked each other.
6. when he was late to their meeting in the libray and the Queen was not there, he was so anxious.
7. prior to him going to the house of Queen's brother where they had sex for the whole night. He missed the Queen and was seen touching the embroidery of the handkerchief that the Queen gave him.
8. He was so touched when the Queen made him drink tea and was given sweet rice cake prior to his departure.

I have rewatched this again and I really disliked the King. He actually started everythng, then it got out of hand because humans have emotions and you cannot just stop it as if it is a tap. Then he act as a victim and became vindictive. he used his power to destroy everything. I understad his perspective but I do not sympathise with his predicament.
