I still maintain - and will to the absolute bitter end - that TK and JH are brothers. But, what do I know - I'm…
you are right. sometimes this writers does not remember details. So he might go other routes. he might change that arc and just ignore those details especially now that he can't seem to redeem Jerk JH to pitiful JH.

you mean half-brothers. what I understand by step-brother is that they are related legally but not bloodline ( either related to each other by being the son of either mother or father but father and mother are married). 😘

I think it might come true (or not) by the writer who drops hints and hints during earlier episodes. If you remember, they have instant hatred with each other during the scene in the elevator, They wore the same grey suit with TK teasing JH that he bought his suit with a half-price tag. They also wore the same perfume I think.

that's the theory that I speculated at the middle of the series. I thought that they were brothers from different mothers and the same father. so if he (JH) is not the son of strawberry, who is his mother and father? was he adopted by strawberry or is he the son of his father (who maybe the father of TK?) from another woman but raised by strawberry.

The writer might have forgotten all the clues about same parentage of TK and JH, same taste in clothes, car, hotel and women ( SJ and YD LOL, both women were connected somehow with both TK and JH). So your speculation might or might not come true.

I though I am finished with this drama but I can't help but watch what the writer had thought of salvaging the drama from free falling from the audience' favour.

I think the writer is confused, the original idea is for the audience to sympathise with JH's character if we watch till the end. He was giving more airtime to JH ( at least less airtime to SJ , which is a bonus, who created havoc after havoc without any consequence except her dismissal from the company). But at the same time, he succumbed to pressure from the audience that JH is not a Gong ( this is based from the comments that I have read). So now people are so confused in what the writer wanted to convey to the audience. With only a few episodes left. there is no time for JH's redemption arc.

Huh? Moving is not written by this incompetent hack writer here, thankfully.
I was checking the discussion on this drama. There is lingering feeling LOL (because I invested so much energy/time) . I was probably convincing myself that I moved on ( watch 9 episodes of MOVING this week because I was so disappointed with the twists and turns of TRHC this weekend)

its based on a webtoon and fortunately the webtoon writer Kang Full took the screen writing himself. According to his MDL page, his works gained quick recognition and several of them have been adopted into movies.

There is still robust discussion of this weekend drama. I see familiar names. I think I have moved on from this…
its rated 18+; so children again. It has a lot of blood and gore so be warned.

There is still robust discussion of this weekend drama. I see familiar names. I think I have moved on from this drama and will come back at a later date probably at the finale ( the last few minutes: I distrust the writers of at least giving some stress free episodes up to the very end).

There is a new drama by Jo In Sung ( I like him with the rated 18+ 2008 movie, A Frozen Flower; its an adult movie. beware children) and Han Hye Joo ( I liked her in Spring Waltz). It is called MOVING.

I usually do not like fantasy dramas, but the episodes so far is quite well written.

you are right. No one should be forced to associate with toxic relatives, it is not good for one's mental health.…
I agree with sleeping through with boring subjects. I feel aggravated though with this writer's logic and lack of research on some very important social issues.

I was aggravated that he trivialise pain and suffering through abuse. He trivialise domestic violence and how it affects women especially . I was especially annoyed with the scene where Inok "delivered" YD to his abuser (JH). it is particularly disturbing that some youngters are watching this drama and they will just think that it is okay to abuse and violate the rights of others and all will be forgiven in the name of family.

It might not be relevant in this case but some women die because of DV and for the writer enacting a scene where the victim is being "delivered" to his abuser is a big blunder on the writing of this drama. It trivialises the pain and suffering of YD.

The familism displayed by granny accepting JH easily trivialises the pain and suffering of YD and especially TK (in that Gong's household). So I lost interest in this drama.

Well said. Actually, this is the first time I've posted on reviews as I normally don't watch AIRING dramas preferring…
I think Five enough and Ugly alert are enjoyable, compelling, interesting family dramas ( Thank you LA_DramaFan). I cried a lot with Ugly alert especially the first few episodes. Since then LIm Ju-Han has been a favorite.

Five enough is quite good too but I was not very interested with the main couple. I like the arc of Sung Hoon and Shin Hye-sun

You’d think that after 42 episodes these writers will decide to play Santa and spread a little joy and happiness.…
I think the writer is imposing his outdated beliefs in one of the tenets of Confucianism
-re: familism).

by judging some comments on reactions of Chinese audience is that it does not sit with them ( familism) with them as well. I am assuming that this an outdated belief, and the modern Chinese audience does not believe in them as well.

Probably the writer has an outdated belief and he is imposing his belief to the audience and probably wondering what is wrong in his logic? LOL. He probably flabbergasted with the audience reactions. He should research more then.

In Ok should come back as the screaming crazy mum forbidden the rest of the Gongs to mention Jerk JH in front…
you are right. No one should be forced to associate with toxic relatives, it is not good for one's mental health. Self-care is important as well , and avoiding relatives who gives you and pain and suffering is good self-care.

is the writer wanted a debate on the merits of Confucianism, then he succeeded. The debate is about the merits of familism ( favouring relatives/family even if they have done criminal/wrongdoings_ and social justice/fairness.

Many have found this prioritizing of the family over the interests of
the wider community morally troubling, due to the apparent neglect of
moral impartiality. This might be explained as the failure to adequately
recognize the interests of those with whom no ties of affection exist.
Stated in modern terms, Confucian ethics has been accused of failing to
recognize moral equality between persons and impartiality as foundational moral principles: differential treatment of people is justified only
if meaningful differences in cases exist, and family ties or particularistic affections are insufficient reason in many cases. Furthermore, in
Western liberal democratic traditions, such moral ideals have informed
the construction of social and political institutions that govern public
life, fairly and impartially administering goods and burdens (as well as
punishments). In contrast, traditional Confucian ethics has been accused
of fostering nepotism and corruption (Liu 2003, 7). This raises doubts
about the viability of Confucian ethics, and whether it can serve as
resource for modernizing China, as well as global and comparative ethical theorizing (

Those who are influenced by western values are howling in protest over this familism displayed by granny. The excerpt above can be found in this journal.

But it is so addictive. Come Friday I am all excited and don't want to do anything on the weekends except charging…
you are quite funny. I have fast forwarded episode 43 and 44. So what's the use of watching it then. I will be probably coming back the last episode ( probably the last 5 minutes of the finale LOL). The writer is a sadist, he enjoys inflicting pain and suffering to the main leads thus inflicting pain to the audience as well. He does not know how to balance angst and happy moments so that he had a happy audience.

I cannot understand the writer's logic. does he wants to shock his audience. Is the writer has forgiveful nature? Everything is forgiven with just making JH a blood relative/family. is the writer preaching forgiveness against all cost? t is against human nature as I understand human nature. Even if there is forgiveness, there should be logic on this, not forcing the issue. There should be gradual development to it. Because what the writer is doing is forcing the issue and his audience are shouting in protest about his twist and turns.
On The Real Has Come! Aug 21, 2023
Actually I want to drop this drama. The plot has been crazy over the last few episodes. The twist and turn in this drama is too much for me. Does this writer just wanted people to forget everything that happened about the abusive behaviour that JH/SJ had inflicted to this family and just forgive everything. I know life is hard but making the leads suffered so much and giving redemption arc for the villains is too much for me. I just skimmed and fast forwarded everything because it is not fun anymore. It is torture and I want to be entertained not quite stressed when I watch dramas.

iI don't think everybody wants Granny to turn away JH but to be fair to TK. with all the atrocities that JH have…
there is no justice in what is granny is doing although if you consider everything, they ( Granny and JH) deserves each other. They are both nasty ( although for a short period of time, granny was pleasant to TK but she reverted to her old self). A nasty old abusive grandma.

Granny should be fair to Tk. TK was not accepted as a Gong family member for a long time and he is quite hurt and affected quite profoundly. he is abused and bullied for all his life, and now comes JH who is a bloodline who is an abuser, Grnadma just forgives as if nothing happened. Do you think it is fair. TK is a GOng period. he should be considered a family and should have not been abused and bullied period.
