I finally finished demon king and it was so well balanced and good....the author was fantastic in shifting from a genuinely funny novel to something serious and the growth and transformation of the two leads is amazing

Feel really satisfied when those antagonists get what they deserve. Another point i liked is how the 'transmigration'…

Title Dong Yi
It's been years since I've watched this and can't get over it. Any recommendations on a female centered historical…
The story of Ming Lan

Nope. It takes place in the same universe with the same characters but it focuses on the story of the niece (FJ)…
No worries and if you don’t like them hope you find something you like :D

If it’s historical I stand by Legend of Ming Lan. If you click on my profile I wrote an article about it because I place it up there with Masterpiece Theatre/Jane Austen kind of works. However, it may not be your ‘type’. People criticize its pacing but I’ve watched it....a lot. It is not a fantasy so there is no magic it is pure historical.
On Eternal Love of Dream Jul 10, 2020
I think it’s better than eternal love. The beginning of eternal love was soooo campy. But it did have some good battles and the dramatic jump you see in the credits. I am also biased lol

Same here, gave the drama 2nd chance n i love it after the boring earlier 20 eps plus. Wish a better director…
I think it’s his style I mean he did ashes of love I nearly quit it but was stranded at the airport. Glad I didn’t because it blew me away about 3/4 through but I don’t know if I would have hung in had I not been stranded.

Title Eternal Love of Dream Spoiler
How is this related to Eternal Love (2017)? Is this a sequel? Should I watch that one first or it doesn't matter?
Nope. It takes place in the same universe with the same characters but it focuses on the story of the niece (FJ) in Eternal Love and super God (most powerful god in world) DH. The plot is that of the novel sequel to Eternal Love. The plot of Eternal Love did not have the rights to Pillow Book so they created an alternate story that is still really interesting but non canon. Pillow book is a longer book (twice the length of eternal love) with a stronger emphasis on romance. I theorize they created the extra plot in eternal love because the novel is not as romantic. I recommend Eternal Love and Ashe of Love because the team who did Ashes of Love did Pillow Book. You can watch this without having seen Eternal Love.

Empress Ki, or Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan. Both have a lot of concubine scheming going on. Empress Ki has more…
While empress ki is great I think palace dramas have a level of scheming that equals a high body count which this drama did not have
