I haven't finished it. This is definitely a slow burner, meaning there is a lot of dialogue. A LOT. And the scenery is not great, the CGI is lacking, and it can be overly sentimental. I believe it requires patience. If you have the stomach for slow burner dramas, then give it a shot. It is also a melodrama, so it moves in the direction of tragedy (like most historical C Dramas) I liked it, but as an English speaker, I had to write things down to remember all the names. Some of the plots are on the silly side, but almost every C Drama has that. I would recommend the Flame's Daughter as a warm up because that is also heavy on the dialogue but overall better written/acted. If you can get through that, this should be fine.
I liked Vic Chou’s acting very much so I decided to move onto Mars. ^__^ His acting is brilliant here as well.…
this is really my first time watching vic chou--i was skeptical and thought that it was too big of an age gap but he is surprisingly good, i will go so far as to say very good
This is from a series 'Listen To Snow House' (听雪楼) (I am basing this all off of google translate as I do not speak the language) by the Writer Cang. From what I understand, it is an epic about a dragon and phoenix who seem to be involved in some kind of love/hate relationship.
I think I just did not like the style of writing/presentation of characters. I don't really know I couldn't get into it. I remember when I read it I was reading other novels and decided to drop it after only a couple chapters. Maybe if I had stuck with it I would have liked it but I didn't maybe I will go back and give it another try :/
ZV is the only good thing about this drama. I came here for Dilraba, whose acting is great given what she had…
I am still learning about Eastern history but I am a bigger fan of the female lead so I felt frustrated that she was given such a poorly written role :/ I can watch a show where the female lead makes poor/nonsensical choices and still like it but I think when you juxtapose her character against the male lead, who is just better written maybe because he is very consistent, and his motives better written, it fell apart for me I do think a lot of people came here for the male lead and don't get me wrong he is great I think I just tend to lead towards liking female leads because they are usually easier to relate to maybe because i am a girl??
Welp I still haven't finished it It requires, at least for me, a lot of time paying attention. Heavy on the dialogue. I think so far I will rate it a 7.5

Here is a link (hit the translate) to the first part. If that doesn't work, copy and paste the characters after 'Listen to Snow House' and google will bring up a ton of links with translate next to it.

That last link seems to have actual okay translations...
