@aldermin I was really skeptical because usually the foreign actors are so bad but believe me when I say that her acting is so good! in fact most native Japanese said they watched show for this actress she really, REALLY acts very well and they have such good chemistry!

episode 26 Major Pro: The show is fairly good with segwaying into new scenes and setting up new plot
Cons: The execution could be improved, and I think the biggest hindrance right now is the actual writing of the character of Qu Yuan, who is so black and white. I am hoping that they pull a JOF and have him do a 180, which makes the character much more likable.

@KMR I am not there yet! have been watching on youtube and alas played videogames all weekend so I am on episode 19 I think about to start 20

I don't think you are supposed to 'like him' per se maybe empathize with how he came to be what he is but no, I don't think you are supposed to 'like him' I do however think the actors have amazing chemistry

i just can't do it. as much as i love the cast, the female lead is just TOO perfect and unrelatable i feel like i am watching a superman movie without kryptonite

@ Ruby I don't think you should care if you make people irritated it's your article but I also think that when you write something you should expect that people also have the right to voice their opinion or criticism

I won't watch the bride of habaek because the comic is AWESOME. i personally think that Kdramas are not as good as Cdramas when it comes to creating epics since that is just the norm in China; I think that if the people who did JOF or Peach Blossoms bought the rights, they could make a really good show

I think they wanted to buy into the angst theme that probably reached its climax with films like Twilight but if they knew their audience they would know that a younger demographic is kind of rejecting that for either comedy or something more intelligent so it could have been the perfect time for a true adaptation instead of a watered down changed version (they also seem to think that their demographic is stupid) I am not a fan of deathnote any version but as an outsider those are my two cents nor am I a big fan of the comic-

@daskeletoon I am 95% certain it will be a sad ending because this guy historically never had an Empress/Queen so that seems like something a writer just can't ignore, in my opinion...and there are just so many lines in the show that seem to be building towards something sad....

@joannesmith it's funny you say that bc song of phoenix is kind of similar; the first 20 episodes were kind of like 'the fall in love arc' and some politics but now that the lovers are separated, it's finally getting interesting because the first 20 episodes were kind of cheesy so it's like the reverse of what you said and I agree, I hate dropping stuff a show has to be really bad for me to drop it but I am getting better at doing it bc when you think of all the time you put in to watching a show had better be good!

@Laura_Roslin that's kind of how I feel about song of phoenix it's negatives are its pacing and sometimes the writing can be too transparent but overall the acting is good and the dialogue is more than most shows have--actually sometimes there is too much dialogue I mean they won't tell that something happened, it'll be how it happened, five different peoples thoughts on it, the temperature that day...but I still like it

@moondust eh it makes me so hesitant because some shows people love that I just could not like no matter how hard I wanted because of the acting i.e. fighter of the destiny welp I have plenty of time cuz I am watching so many shows right now

@moondust how would you rate Love Lost?It's on my watch list I won't get to it anytime soon I am watching this show, song of phoenix, and Massan: I like the heavy writing in song of phoenix but turn to this when I want the action/sexual tension because phoenix is one of those shows that really slow simmers and isn't just a love story it's got so many friggin subplots and massan I like bc it is short and really light

for me, it picks up again at 19

OMG these two have so much chemistry I wish they were married in real life! the English-speaking actress they chose is soo good at acting I was really not sure what to expect but she IS the drama
