I genuinely didn't care about their parental instinct isn't that a myth? if anything it is a little refreshing to see a female lead who isn't expected to be great with kids or put them first I mean some people aren't going to be good parents my gut tells me she is the type who is better with older kids; also, the kid is like 500 years old and a god I think he is doing ok...I didn't dislike the YH/BQ couple at all it is rare you see such a devoted male lead or such a strong female lead who isn't in your face rude (writers rude does not equal strong it equals insecure in my book); I just happened to enjoy watching the FJ/DH ship more

@krystalsoojungs I agree the author does not write very strong maternal instinct. I think it is because her novels focus on true love and soul mates. Ex. YH jumped to his death nevermind his kid to go after Su Su and only stayed alive because he thought she would return; in Pillow Book DH/FJ were going to die together never mind their kid

@Emily The novel is in a lot of ways very different from the show although they kept the core components (unlike 3L3W Peach Blossom, where it is for the most part the same)

@Hazardous is there a like to a full translation of the novel? I have been waiting for over a year and there hasn't been any new releases. Has it been dropped?

@Emily So you liked it? Great! I will maintain that Shifu is a villain in the series, but I can see your way of thinking. I think most of us had the same reaction at the ending. I didn't see it coming, so I kept yelling 'what?!' at my t.v. when she was laying there, dying, I had to watch it again to make sure I didn't hallucinate

I can't watch this I read the manga and it is infuriating. Like I thought it would be like Nana, which injects a bit of reality into the series with all the drama...the characters were just so annoying.....

Because Yang Mi is in it I will give it a try she has been excellent in all of her other dramas

@meem am interested in the plot twist cuz right now I have predicted that her destined ill fated love is in the wingkind prince...somehow I think humankind prince will turn out to be evil which I look forward to because I enjoy when characters change dramatically (so long as there is a good reason) ex. Bones in JOF
