@meem thanks! I actually saw someone else using it on this site (I think it was Kristana) and they didn't mind if I adapted it as well FJ is my fave character in the show (if you haven't noticed....)

@Fean bwahahaaha I had the same exact reason for picking it out but it was unbearably painful to watch I finished it but I thought both actors performed so poorly...and I agree there is something about that actress that I don't seem to like maybe not my type?

Did you prefer one couple over the other? Because I liked the second couple, I can recommend some shows with a similar 'feel' not necessarily a Xanxia but the BQ/YH ship is a little tougher if you want a HE (however I haven't seen as many drams on here as everyone else) You could try Ice Fantasy but it gives me more of an action feel with less romance. Eternal Love feels like the fruition of many years of this genre developing and sounds like they may have found the perfect 'product' I bet you that we start to see a lot more shows like this one--

@LPA I am talking about Bu Bu Jing Xin. I really didn't like it but I watched this first. Bu Bu Jing Xin had all the elements of a drama that I like but the acting and pacing never engaged me. I couldn't get past ep 1 of Ryeo because it seemed so weird/poorly written and after reading the reviews I abandoned it entirely. Looking back on the shows/couples I like I think I tend to favor the kind of funny/adorable/mischief/shameless female leads thus I liked this drama a lot because the female lead sort of marched to the beat of her own drum and did what she wanted....I guess 'adorably eccentric' is a word I might use to sum it all up? Not sure that is right either...

@meem currently the people who interest me most are the villains (empress) and this whole 'star goddess will die if she meets her yang/other half a.k.a. it's a fated calamity?' (let me guess, the humankind prince will corrupt himself in order to 'protect' the female lead from a dangerous love'

@Fean I am on ep 7 now and it is beginning to pick up. I won't lie; it's target demographic feels like 13 year olds it is a pretty predictable plot with predictable twists and turns (the first couple of episode were painful because the actress endangers others with her behavior and does not take responsibility (for instance, FJ is the cutesy airhead type but her actions really only impact herself and she learns from her mistakes... this girl in this show sort of makes bad choices and blames others) more like the kind who wavers between cute and accusatory) but now it is becoming more entertaining. I hope that the characters grow some. Also, the male leads are good looking but again everyone in these shows are good looking so it is a moot point. And the ending song is awful. Naturally it can't be compared to Eternal Love or JOF. It tries to take itself seriously with some comedy but the directors/writers didn't really try to give the show much depth everyone is pretty predictable archetype and the costumes (so far) aren't that nice. THAT SAID if you can overlook that and just accept it face value, then it could be a show you like. I wouldn't expect much. Once I stopped having expectations/comparing it to other shows it became more interesting. And it isn't bad like some god awful like shows, like perfect couple (in my humble opinion) --and you will probs skip scenes during it.

I hope novoland picks up the opening episode had me scratching my head in confusion because the female lead is completely 100%responsible for her situation and seems stubborn to a fault (like she jumps to conclusions and makes fast judgments of others) but I have not given up

I think that the early episodes were disappointing because of all of the hype but it is supposed to pick up (I had the same issue with JOF and did not regret)

sounds like the American film shallow hal (a super shallow guy gains the ability to see a person's inner soul so he falls in love with someone he never would have: an over weight but wealthy woman. he sees a beautiful and charming model like woman and everyone doubts his interest/believes he is after her fortune because it is counter to his personality)

@vmv meh I noticed she didn't care for the kid but this is a story of soul mates, not how to be mom of the year. If anything it just highlights that their love comes first. also, that kid didn't seem to mind and seemed to turn out okay it sounds to me like you didn't like the story and would not liked it regardless of whether or not she paid attention to her child (perfectly fine)

@Mighty_Brosia I have zero sympathy for BZH. Okay so it's a stereotype for old people to be wise and he is inexperienced in love...but he is arguably the most selfish male character I have come across. Bones isn't perfect either and bears her own portion of responsibility for choosing to remain by his side. What makes him so infuriating is his denial of his feelings while she is honest--and that is what drives her crazy as well. She knows the truth. but he just keeps on lying. So maddening!

I miss Dong Hua, Si Ming, and Feng Jiu....
I can't say I miss the Celestial Emperor...

@KAIHUA i have legend of Lu Zhen on hold the number of plots in just ten episodes was more than I've seen in most palace dramas...each episode had so many! I will try it again later. Am currently watching Novoland
