Ikr? I feel like all the people calling him "old" haven't seen any of his pics xD
Not "old" - "too old to play a high school student". I personally think he can play a HS student, but thinks it's sad he's stuck playing them until he's 50.
The crinkling condom threw me off a bit too. I was thinking “ why the hell is the damn condom louder than their…
I did like the commitment - it was refreshing to see that their bodies were actually touching. That was an odd sound mistake - maybe it was just missed in the editing. The formulaic pin the wrist on the bed by his head took me a bit out too. But really it's mostly me with the music, which again, was a suprising and excellent choice, it just coincides with an event in my own life which tore me out of the scene and threw me into memories of happy times when I was young and pretty.
What they do really well is the way they look at each other - that to me is probably where they beat Vegas & Pete.
I'm clearly in the minority, but that ep bored me. It was mostly Rain sulking and doing homework. The NC scene at the end was OK, but maybe a little sudden and formulaic, although it was nice that they acted it well and not tentatively. I think it was the abrupt mood-killer of him loudly crinkling the condom then opening it with his teeth that made it seem off. That's a cliche and feels awful on the teeth - I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that unless they were trying to be funny.
Also, specific probably only to me, I had a formative experience with a guy to the Bach solo cello suites like that, so it felt even more weird and distracting, although that's a great accompaniment to sex, for sure and the production gets points for that out-of-the-box choice.
I'm still enjoying the series, largely for Noeul's offbeat charm and especially for Peat - but the relationship between Rain & Phayu feels like by-the-numbers 2017 seme-uke and it just feels tired to me. I'm hoping there's eventually a plot - I'm fine with exploring a relationship, but there does need to be a story at some point.
I think even an older looking actor wouldn't have helped because the character himself is written in this absolute…
I thought Cupcake worked - both of them were adults who behaved like adults, and the power dynamic was complex and interesting. But Minato is a shallow and dull story.
I'll so miss going to the comments every week, it was a ritual at this point. For this alone this drama will be…
It's funny, everytime I tried to come here I'd enter "Forgotten Night" in the search field, and it would auti-fill before I noticed. That would actually probably have been a more fitting title, since it's fairly clear both Kim and Kamol forgot they were a dom and sub, given how Kim would generally withhold consent from being pecked on the cheek. And the body guards never gave a hint about what they were doing at night...
So small? That hotel room was literally 8 times bigger than my brother's apartment when he lived in Kobe. There was only enough floor space for three people to sleep, and someone had to wait outside if anyone needed to open the refrigerator door.
When this series started it was one of my favorites, but I don't really care about Shin & Minato's relationship because it's been totally stagnant. I think maybe a problem is that neither of them are acting like actual people. The only characters that do are Sakuma and Asuka, which is why I enjoy both of them.
Shin is cute and has a great smile, but Akira is not a very sympathetic character, and I don't feel the age difference, so that undermines that aspect of the story, and so his motivations feel off. Maybe an older-looking actor would have been a better casting choice.
Well, that was awful. But I'll miss it. Especially Khom and Danai, the actors for either of whom would have been much better as Kamol, both being masculine, muscled, and sexy, unlike Yoon, who doesn't look like he'd have any chance in a fight against his whiny submissive uke. I will miss the stoned white tiger, bodyguard after-hours leisure activities, Khom's striped sleeveless shirt, khom in general, and all the gratuitous showering and bathing.
All also miss all of your in the comments section - we'll of course see each other again, but I don't think it will ever be quite this much fun again.
I know that everyone thinks this is a horrible show, and by no means am I saying this is a stellar production,…
It's terrible. But it embraces its terribleness with a gusto that's impossible to resist. I will miss the stoned tiger, bodyguard orgies, and bonkers water wasting.
ThNk you for all thst info! That host is a monster. All she needed to do is recognize she crossed the line and apologize. I doubt Yoon was traumatized. Its just... icky. But if you let her get away with it she'll just get worse.
If she thinks you have to be sexually attracted to and know someone to sexually harass them, then she will never understand why what she did is wrong and should be fired and the company she works for sued.
I've never before seen a BL where the main pair are totally irrelevant to the plot.
The hair stylist for this series is clearly a sadist.
Is the pinky-swear a thing in Thailand, or is it just a thing in BL? Where I'm from, if anyone asked for a pinky swear, you'd just stare at them silently until they went away.
I have to agree. Check out had pre-series and post-series special episodes that were quite good, and at least you got to see a lot of ripped abs. The series itself is roughly tied withi Coffee Melody, but CM has no special eps and no abs, even though they cast Pavel.
Lack of societal acceptance =/= can wear each other's clothes
