LMAO Oh you made me laugh too. This was very funny. I had a lot of the same thoughts watching this. Noh is also…
Yes, you're identifying the problem perfectly. I'm OK with tropes and standard plots and stock characters - if they're well done and the actors can make them interesting. Even Fluke here is a little tiresome because he's playing the exact same character he always plays (which is totally not his fault).
Or hair-washing/drying is making me crazy it's so overdone - but 21 Day Theory just did it in a way that was central the plot - it resulted in immature jealousy from Q and he got schooled for it by his uncle and it led to one of the better conversations I've seen in a while.
I didn't notice the apples were gone because I have a hard time paying attention to that couple because I'm too focused on all the horrible things they're constantly doing to musical instruments.
I didn't think much of Noh in Nitiman, probably because he was in Nitiman. Although I did notice his hot body. But here he's quite something - he has charisma and gravitas. Usually you're thinking "THAT is the BMOC that everyone worships?!?" But here I get it.
I'm onboard, even though the cinematography is rather stagey. I think that's intentional as it puts us into the…
It's a romance between a 20 year old and his father's boyfriend. I don't think it's going to be tropey. It's prerry much already whatever the opposite of tropey is. My biggest worry is that Wang's mother is going to get unbearable. She was skirting it this ep, but once she shed her OTT persona I started to feel her.

Also, Wang showered and In didn't dry his hair for him. Or catch him when he tripped, or give him a piggy-back ride because he was feeling sad, tie his shoe for him, buckle his seatbelt, or wipe an implausibly large gob of food off his lip.
I thought the cinematography was amazing in the way it put us in the audience but was still dynamic - it was actually almost more like being a voyeur than an audience member. And the outdoor shots were beautiful.
Yes, I don't know why some of the best series have only 4/5 episodes :( it's a pity
But as Niso mentioned, there may be a correlation between concise stories and good stories. A lot of series are twice as long as they should have been and it does nobody any favors. Except maybe the sponsors and their disgusting drinks and snacks.
I adore the dialogues: they are beautiful, touching and real. The struggles of Q's mom, fearing what her son would…
They're all wonderful, including Uncle & Mom. There's a realism to them that you don't often see, and TBH I think it really helps that Q is gay and not a straight guy falling forthe only guy in the entire universe he could possibly fall for, forever and ever - it puts him in the real world rather than a magical BL world where homophobia and heteronormative pressures don't exist and 90% of the male student body is available for gay stuff.
LOL ... I'm like the rest of you. I was watching Episode 3 and thinking "Well, this is moving fast" ... and now…
I think it's natural, even for a gay-friendly mother, which she clearly is as her brother is gay. She knows especially well that his life will be harder if he's gay and she doesn't want that for him. She'll easily accept it when it's clear that's who he is. My mother didn't take it too well, and she got over it pretty fast even though she's highly narcissistic. Fortunately being gay is fashionable in California so that helps.
Uncle's reply when she mentioned his love life was classic, though.
i don't know if i should say this or not but that girl is model and her teeth are yellow. like no care to teeth…
You're mistaken. They were orange. Unfornately I was eating while watching this and I lost my appetite. I'm... older than her any my teeth are whiter than that, and I drink a ton of coffee.
I feel like there might have been a better way to wash his hair.
How can this only be 4 episodes? What evil sadist has done this? Aaggh!
I really love this show - the relationships are all so cute - I even care about the straight couples (although I'm not sure why a model has orange teeth. They have ways of helping with that). But X & Q are so good together.
Tee is so beautiful, from his pouty kissable lips to that perfectly-sited beauty mark. I can't get enough. And those arms... I didn't think X was all that cute at first, but he has such a lovely personality.
The writing is so good and realistic - I'm getting tired of the standard supportive mom speech and I like that Q's mom is more realistic. Anyone's mom would be worried about her child's happiness - her behavior is not awful or homophobic, she's just well aware that his life will be much more difficult if he's gay and she doesn't want that for him.
I loved the way Frank's heroic moment was filmed, like a martial arts film, and I was happy that the next time we see him he's being treated for getting his ass kicked which is the only realistic way that could have ended.
It was so cute that Q got jealous of his uncle - but that was realistic too. He probably idolizes him and sees how tall and muscular he is an can't imagine why anyone would chose him over his uncle. And I liked that his uncle didn't just wave it away but explained that his behavior was inappropriate.
I hope this team makes another series - I'm going to miss this.
And he seems so innocent and calm for a booty mate, I'd prefer him over that whiny, annoying, undecided, and childish…
I watched the NC scenes but they did nothing for me. I thought they were wonderful in the special episode, but the characters have been so ruined for me that it's just two people I don't care about bumping and grinding.
I wasn't going to comment on Ice's ears because I thought people would hate on me, but I'm glad you said it. I can usually find at least something attractive about anyone, but I haven't found what that is in his case yet.
You consider homophobia with no back lash as nothing “bad happened”???
Maybe I'm gay and you're a dick for making ridiculous assumptions. I already said he shouldn't have asked, but to draw as straight line to him becoming a violent homophobe is so ridiculous and lacking in any understanding of well, humans, that to be generous I'm glad you live in a world - one I suffered heavily to build - where you don't have to understand or empathize with how hard and painful it is to come to terms with your sexuality. If you have no sympathy for someone at Rain's stage of self-discovery, than frankly YOU are the person I'm more worred about turning violent.
Although this is very theatrical, that is clearest in the dialog, delivery, and "staging". The direction is still very cinematic and takes full advantage of the visual medium. Sometimes the symbolism is a tad heavy-handed, but I don't care - its far better than a linear adaptation of a novel, which is what we usually get.
The acting is fantastic all around. Mam smoothly slides from annoying to sympathetic, and Pond is as seductive as is achievable without going OTT or losing the age of his character.
The dialog is quite sharp, full of double meaning and intelligent banter.
This isn't a BL. At all. But I'm more than fine with it.
Yeah. Thai politics is complicated and it doesn't surprise me that Ayan ends up both supporting uniforms one moment…
I'm Turkish, and I think I do know a lot about our history. You'r proving my point. "Agree with me or be silent". Are you saying that war and national danger justify dictatorship? That's a classic fascist argument.
"i'm dumping it in "tharntype, cutie pie and other similar shows" genre."TharnType and Cutie Pie are literally…
They're the same category to me too, except Cutie Pie was so boring and repetetive that I dropped it.
A lot of people lose their minds if someone kisses someone without getting a notarized consent document, but have no problem with someone being more or less property owned by someone else like in Cutie Pie.
Is literature no longer being taught in schools? It doesn't gel like some people understand character arcs. How do you write an intresting drama if all the characters are morally perfect on day 1? Romeo married a 13-year old and killed her cousin. I'm surprised there aren't more student protests against having to read this toxic drama.
Honestly maybe it’s just me but I don’t think the first ep was bad at all I get why some ppl might not like…
LOL, that's a good point. People are sick of high-school college stories but hate it when there are adult themes. Maybe BLs should all be about high school or college faculties.
Except that Rain told him to stop, not one but 3 times! And Phayu didn't stop by himself, Rain had to push him…
Rain was eye-raping him all night and then went to his place. That's mixed signals, and when Rain firmly said stop, Phayu stopped. Phayu is about 3 times bigger than Rain - if he wanted to force him, he would have.
Phayu isn't in the right, but it's not totally outrageous that he thought Rain wanted him, which he clearly did. Also, this is a drama, not Sunday school. It has no duty to present morally perfect people, nor would anyone want to watch it if it did.
