The age of consent in Japan is 13. Just sayin'. Although I wouldn't touch someone under 18 with a ten-foot pole…
And that's putting aside the moral issues. There's no way a 13-year old knows what he wants - it's one thing to experiment with someone your age, and quite another for a 30-year old to take advantage of an adolescent crush. The closer to 18, the fuzzier it gets, and 18 is an arbitrary cutoff, but what's the alternative? Whatever the age of majority is has to coincide with the age of consent.
It doesn't actually bother me that much when the rule is broken in a drama (although not involving a 13-year old), and I actually find it hot when the kid is the aggressor like in this series - but in real life I would find it unaccptable.

That's why I said I wouldn't touch anyone below the age of 18. The laws you're referring to make it illegal to coerce someone between 13-18, which is very subjective, and until they're 18, their parents are their guardians and decide where that line is.
I like this series a lot - it's a pity it didn't air further away from the similar Old Fashion Cupcake, which I think is a few notches better than this, but Japan is still winning, as far as I'm concerned.
One thing that I like better about this series is there's no tiresome "but we're both guys!" crap that's in just about every BL.
Every episode the levels of ridiculousness in all the right ways top the previous episode.Shin not quite being…
The age of consent in Japan is 13. Just sayin'. Although I wouldn't touch someone under 18 with a ten-foot pole - the boy might want you, but there's a lot that can go wrong, including his parents deciding you coerced him. I suspect we'll have a time jump at some point.
This is terrrible. This is about as exciting as Check Out, albeit in a beautiful setting with lots of hot guys. I don't get the appeal of BounPrem at all - they have no chemistry and poor Prem has a dull character. I'm at the point of FF through everything that's not the boxing couple, so it only takes 8 seconds to watch an ep. Of course, I'm exaggerating. I also really like Kokliang, Earth, and Tae, so it's more like 25 seconds.
I'd like 2 get you guys own personal opinions,do you guys think the series will have a happy ending,or a sad ending?
I rate the chances of it having a sad ending are 0%. Either they'll live happily ever after, or on of them will die in a hilariously overwrought scene that will make us cackle uncontrolably.
I fucking hate it when in a BL world FL is violent towards ML. They let him slap, insult and hurt the ML and even…
I do't get what you mean. Are you presupposing she'll get violent, or did I miss something or totally forget about? (Every single time I come here, I get frustrated that I can't find this series and then realize I've typed "forgotten night".)
What did we learn from this episode? Consent is just a word you can use once, in the end subs have no own opinion…
? I don't know what you're referring to. Kamol always asks for consent, Kim told him to stop asking, so he gave him a peck on the neck to demonstrate that he does need to ask or Kim gets angry. I can't see how that's even slightly objectionable.
OK. That was bad. But not totally lacking in entertainment value. First of all, Ton is so beautiful that I could stare at him forever. I did like that he can't commit to Kamol, but he could could immediately commit to a bitch-off with Cherry. With any luck there will be a slap fight next ep.
The central dramatic conflict is rivalry over a real estate deal. Gripping. I don't think there's anything wrong with casting Yoon in this role. If you hate Yoon. The character is terribly written. If you want to see a crime lord that's well-drawn, check out Don Vito in The Godfather. It doesn't mean walking unnecessarily slowly and showing no emotions. Yoon was great in YYY where he played a sexy guy who is loving and callous, so he can do what he should have needed to do in this role, if it were a role rather than a 2D caricature.
Ton's character isn't any better written, veering from aristocratic & gentlemanly to vicious & whiny brat, threatening people he has power over.
And the next time Kamol wears shoes to bed I'm hiring a hitman. Also, what's with all the dark blue & black being mixed lately? Yes, if you do it right it can work, but it's still a boring combination.
Watching mold grow is a way better watch than Check Out, so I'm not sure that's much of a recommendation.
To bee fair, Unforgotten Night is so awful that it's occassionally funny, like when they play ominous music when people are discussing investors for a real estate deal. Or how the nephew can't grasp simple sentences or concepts even though he's in his 20s. On the other hand, Kim's perceptions are sharper than mine because he can tell the difference between when Kamol is aangry, happy, wondering if he left the iron on, or any other emotion. It all looks the same to me.
The title should be Forgotten Night.

I don't think I'm gaslighting, I'm just giving in to the awfulness and letting it sweep me along. It's everyone else that's self-gaslighting. :)
