The sarcasm is just eating me alive. I mean Sincere told the village chief that Fah can’t know where Prince…
I totally agree about Love Mechanics. While I'm over Prince & Fah, I think people are too harsh on Vee - he's young and confused! Everyone expects all the characters to act like Jesus (Jesus probably wouldn't get drunk and cheat on his girlfriend. Besides, I get a strong BL vibe from his spending all his time with 12 young male laborers. Have you seen how fishermen are built?) Saints et. al. make boring characters.
Anyway, it's exactly what you said - Mark and Vee are written realistically with real depth, and both War and Yin know how to act, which is a refreshing novelty. I think a big key is your point about reacting like real people. If your love interest's evil ex-bf won't tell you which hospital your bf (who was minutes from death the last time you saw him) is at, you. a) give up and asssume it's all for the best or b) you f@#$ing do everything you can to find him. A normal person would pick b).
You're with your girlfriend on the balcony and you see your true love interest getting it on with some guy, so you a) understand that he's free to see who he wants and it would hypocritial to get upset or b) you get jealous as fg@$. Again, a normal person would pick b). It IS hypocritical, but that's how feelings work.
The sarcasm is just eating me alive. I mean Sincere told the village chief that Fah can’t know where Prince…
Why would the village chief listen to Sincere? Who is sincere to Prince or the village chief that he would obey such an aburd request? Wouldn't he ask Prince if that's really what he wants? Why would Fah listen to sincere and just give up? How may hospitals are near that mountain? He could just call, and as a doctor, he would be able to find out regardless anyway.
Fah most certainly did meet Prince's mother and went to their house. It's not hard to locate him, he's an actual prince from a known royal family.
Since when is Prince a drum major in Bangkok?!? How? How does he get to practice from 1,000 km away at a mountain top? How did it never come up in conversation that Dao is Fah's brother? If Fah mentioned where he lived or worked, or went to school, wouldn't Prince ask "hey, I have a good friend named Dao - do you know him?"
If you are in love with someone, you don't abandon them because some known-to-be-malicious ex just says so. So neither of them cared enough to contact each other. Nobody on the mountain played matchmaker and tried to fix it, despite all the effort they put into getting them together. Dao knew Prince's heart was broken by a doctor on a mountain in Chiang Mai - it didn't occur to him that it might be Fah? How many doctors on mountains are there? The chief had all of Fah's info - he would know where he lives and works.
How is it that ONLY Sincere could have taken him to a hospital? How did they keep getting to and from the mountain? Prince has a car, that uncle guy does, I'm sure the chief does... and malaria? Seriously? When was the last time anyone got a fatal case of malaria? That's easily treatable with medications developed in the mid-1800s. that's common and very inexpensive. Its the same medicaation that our Orange President wanted people to take for COVID. No village or town where malaria is possible would not have it. Not to mention that Fah is a DOCTOR, a fact conveniently forgotten whenever the plot required it - he could easily diagnose malaria and have plenty of time to get him to care if he couldn't deal with it himself.
All of this is so implausible that it's just stupid. If you loved you brother more than anyone, especially given the misunderstanding they had, would you not share a photo? Did Prince never look at Fah's social media? It must be full of Dao's pictures. I could go on forever.
Then the amazing coincidence that Prince's mother needed to go to Fah's hospital - because why not travel 1,000 km when you live in the second city of Thailand? And then all the "just missed him by seconds" nonsense... Lazy and horrible writing. And if they're that awful at communicatiing? How long ar they going to last as a couple? I'd give it two weeks.
Also, they're characters. I don't care if Prince or Fah die. I would definitely care if Mark or Mek died because they're real people.
If they have anything to work with at all, they have chemistry. But they haven't got anything here. The small…
It feels unfair to me that they dangle before us the only non-Max/Tul couple composed of two hot masculine and muscular guys and then restrict us to one tiny glimpse per episode.
Predictable? It was totally surprising! Prince is drum major! He is in marching band while looking like he wanted…
I will admit that nobody would have predicted that Prince was a drum major in Bangkok for no apparent reason, which I guess is a side gig that he holds down while on breaks from his teaching job 1,000 km away. I didn't think he looked like someone wanted to kill him - it was more like he was leading a funeral procession while inappropriately attired.

There are series that are so bad they're good, like So Much In Love (how many series have two totally unrelated ghost storylines?), or really bad but with a cast that's so attractive and charming that you can't help yourself, like My Secret Love. But this series is so useless that it felt like punishment to watch it. I'll admit it, I was lured in by how spectacular Mek looks with his shirt off, but he needed to leave it off for this predictably, lazy piece of damp drywall to be watchable.
That was a very understandable misunderstanding. It almost makes me wish there was some form of communication available - something able to send your voice or written communication over a distance... if only...
That was he stupidist, most lazily-written finale I've ever seen. I kept hoping one of them would die so there could be at least one second of this that wasn't groan-out-loud predictable.
OMG! This sounded terrible, but then I saw that my precious Tee is a main! I was obsessed with him to the point that I watched and enjoyed Cupid Coach. His picture here is terrible, but he's so hot.
You know, water is so scarce where I live that the state is mandating that you can't water your gardens, and in northern Mexico, people are having to slaughter animals early because they're withering away without feed and water.
All those problems could be solved with the amount of water these two have wasted so far in this series.
Also, they should just leave out the "BDSM" element in this story. All he did is handcuffed him and then had utterly vanilla sex.
Anyway, this series is terrible - it's being carried entirely by Ton. And to give credit where it's due, it almost works. He's so beauiful I can just stare at him for 45 minutes and ignore all the stupid.
Is it just me, or is the bad-guy really sexy? I kind of wish he would win the and get to have Kim.
It's funny that the 4 recommendations for this series are all notably good series 🤣please remove those recommendations,…
Haha - very true. But if they follow the recommendations they'll be misled in a good way. Imagine if this were the only BL you'd seen and then you watched one of those! Now if the recommendation is the other way around, that's a problem.
I keep hoping the boxers' storyline will go somewhere, but it's only 10 seconds per episode. I don't think that's enough to suffer through this series. I remember I liked Boun & Prem in UWMA, but they don't have any chemistry in this. Sun & Talay feel more like a couple to me.
I'm surprised by Fluk too - he does the boyish goofy thing well, and he's also been effective at guilt, hurt, sad, and when he lets down the silly ponytail he's quite handsome. For me Park & Lee are both beautiful, I've started to find Bomb really sexy and Bear is adorable. If they could just send Kim on a slow boat to China and give Mek to Bomb, the series would be perfect.
Tbh, i think hes the weakest link in the cast. Theres just something inauthentic about him. Hes sure pretty to look at though. This has to be one of the most all-around appealing casts weve seen. When i say "its terrible" i mean formulaic and lacking in originality. But its well-executed and entertaining, which is not nothing.
I'd take it as a sign from the universe. Maybe some people will like it, but I'm at a loss as to who. Maybe a…
You've probably already seen everything, but I've been enjoying In a Relationship, which looks a lot like Gameboys at first but has a much different theme. I really liked the Vietnamese BL Nation's Brother, which is cute and witty with dry humor.

It would be mediocre as its predictable and very "standard" BL - but the main character is extremely unlikeable, which makes it unpleasant to watch, even though Pavel is in it. It helps, but is not enough.
But seriously, Sky In Your Heart was better if for no reason other than Mek's shirtless scene in Ep 1 and Mike & Arm being in it.
