I wish they'd avoid silliness - it really took me out of what was otherwise a great episode.
For example, how, exactly, did they get their shirts off for the bathing scene?
But more importantly, their chances of surviving that fall were somewhere between zero percent and less than that. And without any injury. Come on. Just the handcuffs would have caused serious dislocations.
But Apo's acting was stronger than it's been, and their interactions were just right.
Well, at least now it's a BL. Someone in class at the end said "I've only seen it on TV". Really? Who lives in an urban center and has never encountered someone gay?
Also, the roommate is too awful - I don't think three 20-min episodes are enough to redeem him.
This is half-over. I can't imagine how this can be wrapped up without rushing. It feels like were on the second ep of a 12-part series.
I'm actually enjoying this show which doesn't seem to be the popular feeling LOL. There are a lot of different…
Nam Jun isn't just a total dick, he also dragged off Ji Woo, who is much smaller and weaker than him, and slammed him against a wall. That is totally uncalled for and borderline psycho. Although not by Korean standards.
He did ;) Nuea promised he would let him TOP back in Ep 8bor so. Toh just needed to have the confidence first
The majority do seem to see it that way, but if that's the case I'm not sure the author understands how sex works. Unless Toh was planning to rim him. It seems like it would have been played more for comedy, like Toh being uncharacteristically aggressive and throwing Nuea down onto his stomach or something. The wifey/husband thing is so grotesquely offensive by Western standards that I may be mentally blocking it out, lol.
Honestly I'm really surprised how negative the comments are. It seems that many people don't know it's a whole…
I get it, that's why I said a satire has to satirize. I just think it fails to accomplish what it's trying to - I'm actually saying that it doesn't go far enough, not that it goes too far - it's not funny, so it's just tiresome. 'Exaggrated' and satirical to me is like A Man Who Defies the World of BL. Kimon & Copter are way too understated in their acting and the enegy level is way too low - compare it to SCOY.
Maybe if the actors were better or it was better directed it would work.
As an example, the friend who always has dirty thoughts needs to have REALLY dirty thoughts - like OTT crazy. The best friend in love needs to be so obvious that it would be completely impossible for anyone to not see it clearly.
What ends up happening in this is that it just plays like a series of tropes, and because a magical element has been introduced it undermines moments that are a bit crazy, because they are normalized.
I just don't see that at all. It was very specifically that he was moving down Nuea's body, and Nuea stopped him just as he was reaching his goal.
Actually being on top has nothing to do with what sex role you're in, e.g. I had a bf that always wanted to be on top in order to bottom because he was sort of like Jao - he didn't really like being touched because he had poor body image even though he was in way better shape than me. You tend to move around in more than one position unless you're in a hurry or in a cramped space.
For some reason BL writers are really preoccupied with the subject of top and bottom. If Toh had topped, a huge deal would have been made about it and it would have been played for humor.
This series is really unique - I don't think there is anything similar. Is there a particular quality fo the series…
Almost anything Japanese - maybe Cherry Magic, where the uke has been a virgin so long that he develops magic powers, A Man Who Defies the World of BL, where the main character realizes he actually lives in a BL, so he has to avoid all situations that would make him a main character, or YYY, which is much whackier than SCOY and is not for everyone, but it's dfinitely OTT.
Seng is wonderful! Lot of people are praising Billy but for me Seng was the revelation. You have to be great to…
Billy gets credit for really committing to the sexual aspect of the romance and acting like he really wanted Toh - he did that better than just about anyone else has - but Seng had a tough role, and when he's being serious-emotional he does it perfectly. He was quite moving in that last scene.
He did ;) Nuea promised he would let him TOP back in Ep 8bor so. Toh just needed to have the confidence first
I just went through 8 and 9 and there are no mentions of that. Do you have a time stamp? I don't see how the scene in the finale could be interpreted in any other way than oral sex.
He was kissing progressively down his body and Nuea asked him what he was doing when he was a couple of inches away- that's not how you top. I think it was really clear what he was going to do.
I think you mean Ep 9 - there he thought that's what he's supposed to do because he had no idea about sex and it was played like a joke, and they told him to let Nuea worry about all that. When he got with Nuea, he had the fantasy that Nuea needed the gigantic-sized condoms, so he wasn't thinking of that anymore.
This started out creepy with lots of cringe, then got interesting and charming, and finished with a collection…
I agree with all this, except I only watched the last ep on 1.5x instead of 2, and I did fel Jao - not for quite a while, but once he accepted Sky as his BF I think it was there for me.
I enjoyed the series, and it is memorable because the characters are... unusual, but I wouldn't put this in my top 5.
I liked this a lot, but I think it could have either been 12 episodes or things condensed and more room made for Daisy and Intouch. It was getting a little repetitive for me. There were some well-handled themes and this series is the most LGBTQ+ affirming series ever to come out of Thailand - but I would have liked more character devlopment. Jao was the only one that had ay - probably Daisy too, but it felt like a lot of his character was cut out.
I thought the last scene was perfect, though, and Seng was fantastic in it.
This series continues to surprise me with how good it is. It's not great, because the acting, while competent, is not outstanding, although Mick plays Lukchup unbearably cute without being annoying or cringey. What I really like is that the good people are not totally stupid like they usually are in plots like this and actually react in a rational and intelligent manner.
I could have happily watched 13 eps of cute interaction between the two groups and done away with the villainess plotline, but at least it's well-written.
I watched some clips ..its looks cute gonna start this ๐ฅบ
It is very cute and it won't let you down. There is a fairly heavy main conflict, but it's not between the main pair, and it's well-written, with good characters actually being smart for once.
This section was more mixed for the first few eps because frankly it was a bit of a mess. But the last three eps have all been really good.

Both the leads are growing on me, though.
