I don't really see how KinnPorsche is "toxic", but that word has ceased to mean anything because it's applied…
Yes, but his homophobia was motivated by his having been sexually abused by a male authority figure. It's also easy to suffer from internalized homophobia if you're gay - I didn't really get over it until I was 30.
As for Color Rush, Teonwoo considered kidnapping Yoohan and potentially killing him. Apparently, to some people, just THINKING about doing something bad is "toxic". I know bngmdy only included that because so many people have a problem with it, so this not an attack, but come on. I doubt there's a single human being who has ever lived, including Jesus and Buddha, who wouldn't be considered toxic by that definition. We all have bad and dark urges all the time, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's even healthy to have thoughts like that to help you get it out of your system. Being a good person means resisting those urges.

The Tar thing would only be problemmatic if it were somehow normalized. It was realistically portrayed as something horrible that did real and lasting damage to him. That isn't problemmatic in the slightest.
Tharn shouldn't have kissed Type when he's sleeping, but that's fairly mild. The bathroom scene was aggressive, but it was pretty clear Type was into it. Men generally can't get hard and get off if they're not turned on. And yes, I know it's possible, but it's vanishingly unlikely. And the homophobia was due to his having been sexually abused.
The thing about TharnType that was problemmatic is that nobody seemed very concerned about leaving an attempted murderr and gang-rapist walking around freely.
I feel like this show has not done Holland's career any favours. His singing didn't make me want to buy any of…
I wasn't going to mention the singing, but there was so much autotune that it made my brain bleed. Tommy is cute in real life, but whoever styled him in this was either incompetent or hates him, because he looks deceased.
Watching Ep 15 for the 3rd time, there is a tad too much staring. I hope they cut that down a bit S2. Also, the quadruple shot at the end was kind of bad - it made Rak look like he was some sort of snake springing up to kill Diao. And the actual act was bad, although the hug was epic.
Anyway, this was a great series, and I hope we see more of these guys. I'll bet Win would kill it in a drama.
Now that they translated ep 15, I'm really sad , we didn't get any notification of S2, I already watched it like…
You can give up on that - the voters are all 13-year olds who are going to vote every day for couples currently airing, so nobody is going to beat Mile & Apo. I can see the appeal of Mile and Apo, but Zee and New? But our boys are in 8th place and just a few votes behind Earth & Mix, so not bad, all things considered.
I like this idea and the cast, and I'm looking forward to it, but that preview sucked. It looked like it was made my someone with the attention span of a gnat. It switched images so fast that I couldn't absorb them and I gave up half way through.
This is terrible. If it's supposed to be a parody, it's not working. A parody would be if someone got hit in the head with a basetball and fell into an accidental kiss with the ghost of an engineer. This is just silly and boring. I couldn't get through the ep - I kept ff and never ran into anything I wanted to see.
I don't really see how KinnPorsche is "toxic", but that word has ceased to mean anything because it's applied…
It's a bit out of line to kiss your not-bf roommate when they're asleep, but that's fairly minor. Probably they mean the shower scene. It's extremely difficult to have non-consensual oral sex (receiving) with a man - for obvious biological reasons but also because who does't want a BJ? He obviously really liked it, so I don't see an issue. Some of the audience regards anything but a notarized and registered consent document as transgressive.
I’m sure it’s been asked 100 times, but did this get cancelled??? Ep 15 didn’t feel like an ending at all.…
It's done very well, so I'm sure there will be more. Don't forget that these are not being filmed as we're going along - there would have to have been a production schedule, budget, contracts for the actors & crew, etc., and it was probably completed before it even aired.
This is strange. It's awful without looking awful. I'd say it's poorly written, but I'm not sure it is written. What Tommy did is not really forgivable - I would never trust him again or want to be with him. Especially since there was zero motivation behind it. Worse, it's boring. I think I hit +10 seconds through most of it and didn't miss anything. What a waste of Han Gi Chan.
I actually like toxic shows, I see people complaining here about author or something. Can someone recommend toxic…
I don't really see how KinnPorsche is "toxic", but that word has ceased to mean anything because it's applied to everything that isn't saintly.
Addicted Heroin may be the best series with a couple with a complicated relationship. My Beautiful Man below is also really good. Everyone describes TharnType as "toxic" but I don't see it. One starts off homophobic - maybe that's what bothered everyone. He says some things that aren't very nice. And it has sex in it. Some people hate that.
I'd call it "bittersweet". I think people were expecting it to end differently, but the ending was telegraphed very early in the show and it's really the only way that it could have ended without throwing away the entire meaning of everything that happened. It should have been clear to everyone that this is not a fluffy show where everything ends tied with a neat little bow.
It was a bit rushed though, as I understand it was supposed to be 18 eps and a lot was cut. It would have been better if the last two eps had been four.
It gets more serious and feels like there's more of a direction to it. Not everyone liked it, but if you meant you want to watch something more cheerful than Teddy Bear, this is not the one. In that case, anything Japanese should do.
Short eps are fine - better IMO than long ones. It's not short eps that's the complaint, it's that there are too…
Yes, I just suffered through Physical Therapy, which was 9 hours of absolutely nothing happening. I have to just learn to troll his social media when I think an actor is cute and not punish myself like that.
Have you ever had a series that you really love, but hate to watch? This is such as series for me. That took me several hours - it's so stressful. Not so much all the hospital stuff, but you just know Tin is going to blow it, and I just grimace all the way through, waiting for him to go too far. Plus, he's essentially lying, which is stressful to watch for me - especially as he's the worst liar on the entire planet.
I've always thought Tae was one of the best and most charismatic actors in BL - I even slogged through 2moons for him. But the real shocker is Tee. Coming off his soft and cheerful role in Teddy Bear and then giving us this complicated angry and suspicious person shows his range.
I can't wait for Gap & Sing. The huge power imbalance is kind of hot.
I can understand why Love Class is frustrating for some and disliked by others, but I'm really enjoying the slow…
It's sort of anticipatory frustration - the series is really good and the pacing is fine - but suddenly in ep 5 there was a whole lot of processing skipped over - that was a fairly sudden tranfer of affection, wasn't it? If feels like four eps were crammed into one. Given the runtime of about 90 min for the entire series, a lot of time went into straight romance and the stalker plotline at the expense of the main couple's relationship and character development. Where we were at the end of ep 4 would have been perfectly fine if there were 10 episodes - but now a huge amount is being crammed into the last two eps. It's still good, but I would have liked time to invest in them as a couple instead of it just suddenly materializing.
OMG! Kim Nam Jun is so hot with that semi-calbo haircut. It reminds me of those NROTC days at my maritime university.…
Short eps are fine - better IMO than long ones. It's not short eps that's the complaint, it's that there are too few epsiodes. There's too much that's skipped, e.g. Jiwoo's transfer of affections from Yuna to Roa is like a light switch being flipped.
