I just now realized after watching episodes 7 that Kluen apartment is the same as pat’s in the last ep of bad…
At least they're not living in Leo's house like 90% of BL characters. The other 10% live in Nat's house, or, if you prefer, the house with Something In His Room.
Alot of people are complaining about this series after the recent EPs, but let's be realistic. Since the first…
If you're going to do something completely unoriginal, then at least do it well. Lack of communication could at least be plausible, and there's no real excuse for character inconsistency on that level. While you're right that it's not as bad as Enchante, that's a little like saying a stomach flu isn't as bad as bowel cancer. That was a slight exaggeration for the sake of drama, but you get my point. The homework thing didn't even make sense.
I wanted to smack him for carrying a cello over water to that platform. Those things are expensive and you can't get them wet. It takes a master craftsman a year to make one - show some respect! He didn't even have a case, or an umbrella, or a tarp. What if it rains? Tsk.
Anyway, this looks high-budget and OTT. The white horse - I spit up my drink.
really rubbed me off the wrong way it's like the 2nd time he doesn't ask for permission i get that he's dumb when…
There was a trailer where someone gave someone a love potion and it was treated by the comments section like rape. I think it's good that people are conscious of dangers that exist in our lives from predatorse, but come on. A chaste kiss while sleeping and a love potion? I think what's happened is that gradations of right and wrong have been lost - a kiss while sleeping is just as bad as sexual assault - IS sexual assault. Or having sex after drinking is rape, which makes almost every adult that has ever lived a rapist AND rape victim, usually simultaneously. Again, due to lack of consideration of degree, i.e. the difference between inebriation and incapacitation. In short, people should relax just a little.
I think I took the series in a different way. Please take this with a grain of salt. My thoughts were Fukuhara…
That's actually an interesting analysis - thank you. I'm not planning to drop it - I meant "I give up" in the sense of trying to make sense of the story. Even if it turned out Shinomiya is actually a serial killer I'd still watch it if he's going to take his shirt off like that (I half joke - while I really, really appreciate that, just his face is enough).
I think maybe a little more caution with Fukuhara's inner monologue could have helped a lot - he frequently mentions he has to resist Shinomiya's charms, which, while attributing his attraction to Shinomiya rather than his organic feelings, still tends to imply he's aware of his attraction. But I do buy what you say - I think most of us have been there, and it's especially the case when the nature of the attraction is LGBTQ+ and you have almost no context in which to understand it.
I agree a bit on the repetitiveness of the episode (but this is in line with most mangas turned to live-action)…
These are good points - the problem with ACE representation is that in a drama it's kind of necessary to point out that this is the case for a character because you won't be able to tell just by watching, and it would just make the story frustrating, dull, or both. If they were ever to introduce an explicitly ACE character and write the drama around that, it would be pretty fresh and interesting.
I'm with you all the way. This was really terrible. But this last episode was so bad that it looks like the majority…
Daonuea interpreted every single little thing Khluen did as rejection, even when it was patently obviously the opposite, but somehow, not actually dumping the symbol of his love in a parking lot - that was his signal to go for it.
Also, I can't think of a lot of straight dramas where the girl pushes the guy away for kissing her on the cheek and complaining that he'd already used his lifetime allotment of 3 kisses. It starts to feel homophobic.
I hadn't thought about your point 1, but damn, you are so right. "You're being physically abused?" That's terrible.…
That's fair - but Daonuea pushed him away and told him he'd already had three kisses (I guess he used up his lifetime allotment?). There are times when consent is obvious, and others when they are not. If you're both leaning in...

Or TharnType. It feels like opinions are more political than they used to be, but maybe that's because the world looks more and more like shades of grey the older I get. I can't recall a nonconsensual kiss in KP, but then if K or P threw me down and did whatever without asking first, it's hard to imaging my objecting.
I'll bet a good number of people who aren't happy unless a character provides a duly witnessed and notarized consent document before a kiss would find a guy like that dull and weak and go for the bad boy instead.
I don’t want to be mean but judging from the comments, I’m not certain it’s the same drama we’re all watching…
I'm with you all the way. This was really terrible. But this last episode was so bad that it looks like the majority of comments are not great. I wouldn't even mind the almost supernaturally unoriginal story and lazy writing, but the total lack of character consistency is ruinous. I'm totally fine with ghosts, reincarnations, transplanted hearts that compel people to move to the mountains, vampires, body-swaps, etc. But people still need to act like people and they need to have personalities, not random behavior to suit plot points.
It also seem like they are encouraging students to cheat by normalizing doing homework for other people. Kluen…
To be fair, they were artworks, not math, but his chance to romanticize the collection was over by that point. If he had just left it open on his coffee table for the last time Daonuea was over, this could have been a (mercifully) shorter series.
