Just watched the first episode and I'm hoping Jing will find a new boyfriend soon! It's not clear that Guy cares…
I agree about the chemistry, but Guy is a medical professional saving lives. He should have texted or called, but Jing is self-absorbed if he thinks dinner is more important than dealing with emergency patients.

Ep 1 was decent, nothing mind blowing but good and cute, I was kinda sad with how the relationship was with Jing…
Wasn't it more weird than heartbreaking what he did to the cake? Guy should have texted Jing, but Guys is saving lives, which is more important than dinner, and Jing should understand that. I could see being irritated and disappointed, but his reaction was self-absorbed and out of proportion.

So they've been together for 3 years and a chaste kiss on the lips is scandalous? After 3 years a morning BJ shouldn't be notable. But I guess it says something about their relationship that one of them wears a dress shirt to bed. Which is not as strange as taking a bath while dressed. Or brushing your teeth in the bath. I could see someone brushing in the shower, but... well, that's not the most ridiculous thing about this.

Maybe the quadruple-shot of a meaningless hug qualifies. I haven't ridden a bike in a long time, but I'm pretty sure Prik was doing it wrong, although I appreciated the view of his legs.

Anyway, this was boring and awful.

Title Meow Ears Up
Other than older cat brother and Gap's really, really nice arms, this seems kind of pointless. The acting... um - well, I guess they're trying? Is Evan supposed to be human, or is he a malfunctioning robot? I'm seriously asking. And why is everyone wearing bad wigs? Will they stop? Please?

Hit by a car going less than 10 miles per hour on a soft surface. But at least now we know who the uke is. To be fair, they can be knocked out by sunlight touching them, so a barely-moving car should be more than enough.

I do love the head-wound shaking 7 screaming. Actually any wound shaking. Just being woken from sleep by somone violently shaking you and screaming at you to wake up could kill you, let alone with head trauma.

There was a really funny show where a character had an alergic reaction to food and couldn't breathe, so a friend did the emrgency tracheotomy with a pen thing - so the next scene had her being wheeled into the emegency room with the EMT yelling "we have a stab wound!"

I think the first rule they should teach in BL 101 is "don't have an annoying female character dominate the premier episode." Other than how beautiful Han Gi Chan is, there was nothing in this that made me want to watch it - quite disappointing. I think the problem was the directing. Was the CPR scene supposed to be funny, or was that supposed to be CPR? It wasn't clear, and it really, really needed to be. That could have been solved through proper direction - the scene needed more energy and exaggeration to be funny. The result was that it seemed like Han Bada is a complete idiot and So Young and Tommy are in cahoots to defraud him. Why you would want to defraud a penniless udon chef isn't clear, if that's the case.

In short this didn't make much sense and isn't interesting. I'll give it another ep to see if anyone takes a gratuitous shower or something - that might interest me.

This is probably the best review i've ever read about a drama, and that means something. Thank you, I won't waste…
Thank you! I'm glad to have entertained, and even better saved someone from wasting hours of their time

Yes - it was the Thai version. I was surprised! The series was bad otherwise, except the brother was hot.

You are right, as always. But still...I am sure it is related to that temple story...
That would probably be OK - although it would work better if they hadn't totally abandoned that plotline for the last five episodes.

I’m so glad I found your comment! I have noticed this in so many dramas😂
In Don't Say No they kept playing the German national anthem! I guess some of these songs don't have cultural resonance to Thais. And for a while a lot of people were wearing Boy brand shirts with their conscious Nazi symbolism, which was a bit disturbing.

Thank you for bringing up the reincarnation point. I really do wonder how much of a grasp people have on this…
Everything in the way he behaved after drinking is possible, but a lot of it was unlikely, and extremely unlikely in combination. For example, if you drink enough to get sick, you'll likely get sick soon after drinking. You can get sick the next day, but that's usually due to the hangover, which he was showing no sign of. He should be checked for early-onset dementia for the length of time it took him to decide he wasn't dreaming.

BL drinking almost always results in vomiting and memory erasure. The former is admittedly more common in East Asians than other people, but the latter is extremely serious and very dangerous and is treated very casually by writers, and is on top of it lazy writing. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone in a BL that's stayed with someone vomit and/or blackout-level-drunk or laid them on their side. They're usually more preoccupied with confessing their love than worrying about the object of that love drowning in his own sick.

Unless it's a comedy, it takes me out of the story when drunkenness is leaned heavily on as a plot device. First of all it muddies the consent issue. Usually people are mostly behaving lightly inebriated, which is not a consent issue, but then projetile vomit and suffer total memory loss, the latter of which is definitely a consent issue. That's why unrealistic writing bothers me.

There was a brief moment after the door was shut where you could pretty much see the entire part of his torso where there would be any scars, if any, but I guess that could just have been an error. It wouldn't bother me at all if he turns out to have scars, but he wouldn't necessarily have any that are easily visible.

I will eat my shoe if this isn’t true.
That's a huge risk when it comes to BL - we've had plenty of BLs with really stupid explanations - are you sure there won't be in this one? Like Wenwen died and Amber got her heart, or Wenwen got turned into a man by the mystery temple, or he was always physically a boy but identified as a girl in childhood? Or he's Wenwen's twin that nobody had ever heard of for some reason. Or he's her clone but someone altered the DNA to make him a man. Or Wenwen died and her ghost is possessing Amber. Those are all stupid (except maybe the he was always a boy one), but you have to admit BL would go there for all of them.

The actor already confirmed that the character isn’t transgender. I’m guessing Wen Wen is dead, and Amber…
@Keerthana below says the actor said his character was a woman before. If he's now a man, that's either magic or he's transgendered. Unless he was trangendered as a girl and then decided he was a boy later, i.e. he's always been a boy in terms of DNA.
Replying to jpny01 Apr 26, 2022
That's ompossible - that would mean Amber can only be 10 years old. Definitely trans.
A lot of gay men in recent times have thought they were transgendered when they were young and then "grown out of it." That makes sense if you like boys and things girls like.

But the heart thing is a standard Asian drama trope, so that makes a lot of sense as the answer.

It's mystifying to me - if you're going to release it anyway, why would you not do the international up front? You're more or less forcing everyone to watch it illegally.

Magic, then? Or I guess he could be Wenwen's twin. Or maybe he was always a genetic boy, i.e. he used to be trans and now has detransitioned - that's quite common for gay men.

The title is DNA Says Love You, so there might be somerthing to that.
