The throwing up scene was perfect, it clearly depicts how opposite they feel about the complicated situation they're…
He has just decided to break up with Pan but hasn't done it yet. Her arrival in the locker room was unexpected and very awkward - what could he do? Publicly dump here right there? Refuse to accept the food she brought? He had no option but to do exactly what he did, which was to say thank you. I don't see how that's clinging - it's just avoiding being cruel and humiliating her.
I think everyone is nearly totally lacking in sympathy for how confusing it is to come to terms with your sexuality. It's confusing enough to be a straight teenager let alone adding these layers to it, and yet BL audiences are totally unforgiving of people not being perfect.
i agree with everything except the kissing part, granted he showed pete the video when crying. but he had to have…
I get all that, and Pete is terrible (although I still think it would take nearly superhuman powers of resistance in that situation) - all I'm saying is that the evidence Valen brought to King showed Pete repeatedly resisting Sean, because he left before anything happened. If King came to the scene, it woud be to rescue Pete from Sean, not to to stand there sadly waiting. His reaction should have been shock when Pete and Sean emerged, not foreknowledge.
I think the writer lazily introduced an inconsistency so that Valen doesn't look like a jerk for not intervening - because he didn't actually see anything happening, he doesn't look as bad. But then it doesn't make sense that he thought Pete was guilty of anything and it doesn't work anyway, because it should have looked to Valen like Sean was assaulting Pete and he should have intervened to stop him.
And while it's clear that Khaitoon didn't know anything, he would have to be completely deaf to have not heard anything with people struggling 20 feet away in a concrete building with stone floors. He would have heard a mouse's footsteps.
Does it feel to anyone like we're watching the deleted scenes of a series we haven't seen?
This is so confusing, in terms of tone and plot. Milk is a classic uke, but he's kind of all over the place - at times he's assertive, at others submissive, virginal in one scene, then has to have Dr. Pun stop massaging him because he's about to cream his pants. Speaking of which, they need to have Pun wear more muscle shirts and take more showers.
The problem with this is I think it's supposed to be a mystery, but they never tell us anything, so I have no idea what's going on and there's only one ep left. It looks like Dr Yang has done something that has damaged the reputation of the hospital and he's scooping up everyone's exes and ruining their lives before they die? IDK.
And that scene with the hospital administrator was bizarre - it sounded like he was trying the security code phrases on Pun, who wasn't grasping it. "Fate comes knocking when the door is under repair. The penguin is in the window."
Does Thai express things more subtly than English and require to be made more direct in translations? Sometimes when people are talking I have a hard time making out what their point is. If you read direct translations of Japanese, it sounds like they aren't saying anything or being very repititious - maybe something like that is happening here?
No shame? He's struggling too - why is everyone so harsh on him? Not everyone is the same - he's just better at…
That's fair - I'm not sure he's pushing his feelings on Vee so much as unable to control them. Vee is, after all, Pan's brother - his love and loyalty for her runs much deeper than Dome's. I think Dome wanted Vee to know that he can't quash his feelings and that he can't be with Pan if he's in love with Vee - but what can Vee do with that? Get together with his sister's boyfriend as soon as they break up? They're really in an impossible situation.
Fortunately I'm too old for that kind of sh$% and I spent enough time being an idiot to see these types of situations up ahead and avoid them.
Wait, is Non actually the endgame for Khaitoon? Is that what they've been warehousing him for? Because otherwise he's about to get a huge pile of fuel for his kicked puppy look and it would mean the only purpose of his character was to be very sad. Or is he there to show us that people are stupid when in love and make terrible choices?
Valen has a sweet side, but he always seems like an overgrown 10-year old - I don't think he's ready for a relationship. My opinion of Gun (Valen actor) has steadily risen, though.
i agree with everything except the kissing part, granted he showed pete the video when crying. but he had to have…
Yes, but Pete repeatedly said "no" the entire time Valen was filming. And Valen left before they got it on. Pete is awful, but he shouldn't appear that way on the video. I'm not sure why they had Valen leave - maybe because his character would have intervened if they had done anything in front of him.
The throwing up scene was perfect, it clearly depicts how opposite they feel about the complicated situation they're…
It shows the difference between the way they externally react - everything is not OK with his gf and that's clear in everything he does and says. It's not easy to hurt someone like he's going to have to do to Pan. Or does everyone think he should stay with her even though he doesn't (and perhaps can't) love her?
Vee is trying to stop anything from further happening that will hurt his sister. Dome though is the one who has…
No shame? He's struggling too - why is everyone so harsh on him? Not everyone is the same - he's just better at repressing his feelings than Vee - that should be a cause for sympathy, not scorn.
At this point I don't want Vee or his sister to be with Dome. They deserve better. Vee is literally sick from…
What's wrong with Dome? Do you think it would be better for him to lie to himself and string along Pan? This isn't easy for him, and breaking up with Pan is the right thing to do. I don't see how Vee and Dome can be together even if he does break up with her (unless she herself encourages it), but I would never want to see a nice person like Pan in a relationship with someone who can't love her.
I'm really loving all the couples. I'm enjoying Aii and Saen the most. Aii's hesitation and inner struggles are…
Same here. I considered dropping it after the first episode, and was still not super interested after Ep 2 - I think I stayed bakc then for the beautiful cinematography and set/costume design. Aii & Saen upped my interest in them this episode, but Vee & Dome are still in first place for me. Inner struggle is much more interesting than external struggle (i.e. the basketball stuff).
OK, hands down, by a wide margin, best acting award goes to Porche - that was so intense it was hard to bear. I almost threw up myself. I'm typing blindly right now. Tae was better than we've seen him so far, too, I think.
I have to be honest, I wish they would dispense with all the basketball sh#$. It takes up way too much time, and I'm really not interested in the scheming of the cartoonishly evil coach. There's so much going on in this series. It just doesn't need external drama - there's plenty of internal drama, and it's way, way, more interesting. What do you care more about? Fah's choice between the team and the tryout, or Dome's choice between Pan and Vee? Anyone who chose Option 1 is a basketball fanatic who accidentally wandered into this series. (Interest in the emotional impact on Fah and Thorn of the choice is a different issue - that could still be accomplished if the basketball was abbreviated).
The Fah/Thorn scenes that we had were great, but they were a bit drowned in all the sports stuff. And the Aii/Saen situation is also more interesting and complicated - I would have liked a lot more of it. We got 30 seconds of Vee/Dome, and it had greater impact than all the rest of the episode combined.
But this is still the best thing on right now, and one of the best BLs ever, IMO. But it needs some fast-forwarding through you-know-what to get to the good stuff.
So good! I love Fah and Thorn. I love Aii and Saen! I love Vee and Dome!My only complaint about this show is that…
That seems to be some stylistic Thai thing - I've noticed that in many BLs - I don't know if you saw Bite Me, but there was a pause of several hours between each line of dialog.
How did Chen Yi suddenly become a great singer, and who was playing the piano? Actually, where was the piano? j/k
OK, I was liking this, but it took a nose dive off a cliff this episode. It's like they were trying to shove every BL cliche they could think of into 20 minutes. Faces too close, check. Trip/fall/stare, check. Inability of an uke to even look at a sports field without injury, check. Piggy-back ride? Check. Sigh.
It was a little different that we got to hear Zi Ming's internal dialog when they were weirdly staring at each other for 18 hours, and their singing was lovely - I'll give them that.

I think we may have to wait until you-know-who is called to a better place, if you know what I mean.

I kind of want Saifah to end up with Akk.
