There's some connection there I'm sure - and we know Tian's father is willing to abuse his power...

Don't worry people, I am 99.9% sure we will get at least one kiss scene in the series, cause I trust P Aof, and…
Have you ever watched a GMMTV series before? ;)

I'm 100% certain they can ruin anything. But hopefully not this time.

I have been grumbling all weekThis slow mating dance has started to annoy me
I'm with you. The leaning in for the kiss and passing out is wayyy too tired. Also, I'm not sure why Pha is being such an exhibiltionist - that seems out of character - he's super shy but is working hard to give Tian a woody?

Dr. Nam breaking multiple ethics codes in this series. Cute. Not. Nammon's acted so well in Ep. 7
It's nothing serious unless he reveals what he's learned - that would be a major ethics violation.

Didn't he pass out before the race happened? That would make him 0% responsibile, although his father would be guilty of covering up a crime. I'll give him a pass on abusing his power to get the heart - who wouldn't do that to save their child?

Suggesting a race does not make him responsible if he didn't race. Everyone involved were adults who are 100% responsible for their own decisions.

First of all tian nearly dying every episode is kind of annoying... that boy needs to find himsself a new hobby. Also…
Yes, 100%. TIan and Pha are so different there is several seasons worth of potential conflict to keep this interesting. Instead, they rely on external drama and the actual relationship is getting boring with it's lack of ups and downs. Or it would be boring if Earth weren't naked all the way through this episode. That will never get boring.
On A Tale of Thousand Stars Mar 12, 2021
TBH I was disappointed with this episode. Except all the chief shirtlessness. I was not disappointed in that. It does seem odd that with his character he's such an exhibilitist. Although if I were built like that I would never wear clothes.

This is starting to devolve into a conventional plot, with too many imposed obstacles and too many tropes, like leaning in for the kiss and passing out. Sometimes it feels like the producers don't trust their actors to keep our interest and decide to throw in a lot of manufactured drama. Do they need to fill out the time? If they do, Drake hasn't taken a shower yet. But seriously, I don't want to feel all this stress - I just wish the drama were more organic. Tian & Phupha's relationship is too smooth on it's own - such different people ought to have more obstacles between them to overcome and not be so fairy tale - better writing would have gone there instead of the external crisis of the week strategy they're running with.

This is still better than 99% of BLs out there, but I feel like this can be judged to a higher standard. It's sooo close to being an A+, I just wish they wouldn't drag the GPA down with so many C elements.

And Earth is still the best BL actor, period. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. :)

Eps 7 . I hated dr nam for the first time. I started to dislike phupha for what he said about torfun and tian.…
Dr. Nam has a responsibility to protect his friend - and a responsibility to Tian as his patient, so I don't think he's done anything wrong - yet. As for Phupha, he was drunk, and he's so obviously in love with Tian I can't imagine Tian doesn't see it.

I always wonder about people asking this. what's the scenario? people gleefully holding links hostage in exchange…
The first rule of link hostage holding is never talk about link hostage holding. I don't want to have to report you to the central committee. They're too busy organizing the campaign to get several hundred people to not just wait 15 minutes for the subtitles.

This show seems to improve noticably with every episode. The editing was really sharp this episode, and the two leads have gotten more comfortable and natural. At first Prab was a little too self-consciously cool, now he seems like a natural alpha male.

Also, something spectacularly revolutionary happened this episode. A character noticed that another was upset, understood why, and talked about it! Has that ever happened in a BL before? Normally they would inexplicably fail to communicate for several episodes until some external factor forced them together.

Prab & Chol are so good together it kills me. Fluff overload. Chol invading Prab's bed was ridiculously cute, but the two of them are getting to the point where there's not much room for denial.

The chef & doctor are a waste of screentime IMO. They are everything that's wrong with BL relationships, and makes me wonder if the writer has ever even met a gay man. If the two of them were 13, their relationship would make sense. For their ages, their Jane Austen interaction is ludicrous. At that age, and this was some time ago, there is zero chance I could spend THAT much time with someone before "things" happened, and I'm very introverted.

The teacher & student - while more interesting and better acted, I'm not sure what to think - I'm not entirely clear on how old they're supposed to be - the actor playing the student looks like he's in his early 20s, and I'm not sure what kind of school this is - is it some high school-college hybrid or something?

Links & schedule for all BLs are here. If it's not updated, you can easily find the most recent links from the previous ep's.

Now that you mention it does look like a BL from 4 or 5 years ago.
I might have been in a bad mood when I wrote that. I'll give it a try after it airs and I see the comments here - you can generally tell if you'll like something by people's reactions to it.

I'm also a little confused because the two trailers look like they're from completely different series - they have nothing in common. One appears to be about sexual harassment at work and the other is about incest?

Well, there are many homophobic people in the industry, even some actors, who are just after money.
Right - dealing with your sexuality doesn't mean you get a free pass for being a dick. If he apologizes, I'm OK with everything!

Very true - especially in BL.

I just find it hard to swallow that Gene could make out with a man without negative reaction and then be that horrible for being called cute. If he apologizes right away, I can forgive it (both him and the writing).

I watched a BL (or an LGBTQ show? I'm not sure what to call it, sorry) where one of the main leads was a transman.…
I think Skam would be an LGBTQ+ drama rather than a BL - I think BL generally has a strong fantasy element rather than realism. Even where the plot and characters are more realistic like in 1000 Stars, there is still the fantasy element of the heart transplant. Trans men aren't part of the "standard template" of BL yet - maybe it's because it's hard to include them without an in-depth storyline, whereas it's easy and fast to stereotype trans women and make them larger-than-life.
