Then TJC english wikipeadia page is maybe referencing tong huas first association of XL with Yang Yang but there is no citation or reference note given so its maybe just an assumption.

Yeah he got Winter Begonia after he said in an interview he wanted to try a "opera drama" and 10 days later he got the casting offer, starting filming the next day. Thankful he got casted , extremely hardworking. I just love him in every role. :)

Oh really TCJ was her first choice for XL? I def saw a short video on youtube that stated that Yang yang was offered the role first maybe it was a false information? Wikipedia also says that TJC replaced luckily replaced the actor the role was offered before. (without mentioning the actor)

I love that he got chosen again for "Xiao Yao" are there any rumors when this will air? Also second drama with Neo Hou and WD as main lead and support char. Interesting... Beo Hou as demon and Wang Duo as human are they antagonists? Also hope for non vanilla but the plots reads as vanilla to me.

Watched the first hour of YYM and i also like it. Its tragic as always WD will never be in peace. ;) I just fall in love with him more and more. Sstill have to watch it to the end.

I am really excited for the Hello saturday episode. A long wait for three more weeks. :'( I just saw vidios and pictures of him waving and smiling on the Hi 6 bridge and from the car. i did not see the live though. but some fans def dont know any boundaries.

Well the alpaca episode was very uplifting and not as heartless as getting rid of SM. ;) You will totally enjoy the alpaca episode its well done. Expresssions, camera work and cgi are on point. Its hilarious. But you wont like SCC more after this episode, also not getting worse.

Thank you for explaining and the additional information. The production def feels very heartfelt. her being also involved in the production would make sence and explain the heavy referncing. I am happy for TJC that he got this opportunity. :)

Thank you for mentioning her other drama adaptions. I just know LYF and i totally enjoyed it. Since i am enjoying this one too i will def check the other ones out too. :) i am relatively new to cdramaland but not to TJC.

I read about the xiang Liu thing since i read the novel ending after i heard that the ending of the drama is different. It def feels that Tong Hua felt that TJC embodied XL as she imagined and grow fond of his acting. I mean the audience also felt that way and TJCs fandom grew big over night. I always hoped for it since knowing him since "Shine super brothers". :)

Yeah since i know now thats Tong Hua, she maybe wrote the character with Landy Li in mind too. Maybe i will give Starry love a try too. But my "want to watch" list is already so big.

Oh i should have looked Tong Hua up before posting, failed to do the detective work here. That explains everything that they let her do this heavy referencing. Since LYF is also her original story and she said it herself that Xiang liu is her fav character, you feel the love :D You feel the fun writing the story and let TQ be as tragic as XL again. Maybe its the modern version of XL finally getting the girl after overcoming a lot of obsticals again. :D

Yeah TQ and SCC misunderstanding each other since childhood is just part of the plot. To me TQ is just completely overwhelmed with social interaction, unable to read the room and jet he is so guillable that he just speaks honestly. Let him grow, i mean he has zero expierence in relationships and so does SCC. They are both as green and inexpierenced.

You are right Alpaca it is not Lama :D well you are nailing it. realtability to mild discomfort to full blown annoyance. Same here. I cant believe how she even copied the alpaca to get access to his home. She did not see him as a human being at all. How does she even have the heart to go on with this? Placing new people/animals in his life and removing them without notice. Her character is even worse, she thinks she has the right to toy with him just because of his prejudices against her. I get that she is hurt by everyone nagging her appearance. But that does not justify her behaviour. Did she not fall for TQs appearance first when she was young? she def did not know each other at that time well enough to fall for each others character.
Well they are made for each other.

And yeees the alpaca is def helping and lifting the mood. I was crying while laughing. It was needed. :)

But iiiiiiiii have questions. Is this an original story? Its so taylored to TJC as main lead, so many references. As a fan i love it. I have not watched any of Landy Lis dramas, are there as much references to her other works as for TJC? Are the screenwriter, the director and chief producer TJC fangirls and boys?

The affection for the lama, i cant.... hahahah ^^ I am going to miss SM :( Loved the alter ego, but i am looking forward to the upcoming ones.

To all the haters who say that they dislike Tang Qis ( i am gaging about the name btw) superficial character. Just get beyond ep 1 and after ep 8 TQ gets so warm you just want to hug him and you will get annoyed with SCC instead. ;) Not spoiling just watch.

Ofc if u are generally not into comedy and would rather like "slight comedy" and a serious / non fantasy approach to story telling than this lightening explosion is not for you.

hihi :) i finally finished BR and i am delighted with the whole Drama from start to finish. i liked that the drama was on a budget and had limited props and scenery elements that they had to get creative and maybe to rent decor and limited funds for cgi :) it feels that the art director, stylists and scenic designer pulled their hearts into this. it felt more authentic and charming that way.
only downside was the writing and character development of the FL. I think that could have be done better, killing of the villianess earlier and give the three main leads a story arc at the end. need to think about it more to get to a satisfying conclusion. it just felt that wan meis reason to stay gui hua just because she has nowhere to go alone is not convincing enough. she has proben to herself that she can survive anywhere why would she stay? the other assasins are not her friends and in the end she shes gongzi also not as a friend anymore.
that gon zi is all alone in the end feels congruent.

"xiao yao" is a s1 tier production, right. well i just hope that they wont go overboard like "moonlight mystique". even though it a high Produktion value the scenery felt empty and overcolored at times like a caleidoscope.

yeah i have high expectations for " BlemF" even though i wont read the book before watching it, i have still a lot of dramas to catch up with. and to little time, i just managed to watch so many Dramas the past month since i caught influenza :(
next i will watch "the ying- yang master" and inference note, maybe L.O.R.D 1 &2 and the immortal ascension will wir soon too. since its sceduled that WD will appear for the first time on Hello Saturday 25 ep. 11. yay. so happy he got a variety appearance after a long time. :)

Yes i totally get you. From the first episode i loved the camerawork, the artistry of the shots, little details and slomo to capture the atmosphere, its very metaphorical/dark toned. the scenic composition, set design, animation, costumes and camerawork are indeed well done. Now i have to see how the plot evolves. But its already worth it.
I always love to find those hidden gems, since for new cdrama fans those are burried under mdls < 8 ratings. :(

The Synopsis for "Xiao Yao" reads well, thats what i enjoy most. Its labeled as Xuanhuan. On the pictures WDs character looks like a evil general. I just have a feeling again that this also wont end well. :D could be wrong.

Yeah i hope that "Blemish flaw" will be less predictable, just an emotional rollercoster ride, with traps, shemes, darkness and a lot of twists. Blemish and flaw have litterally the same meaning - double flaw? The chinese title 棕眼之谜 - Zōng yǎn zhī mí, Brown eyed mystery?

I took a peak and watched the first 5 episodes of "bloody romance" and its totally my style. And i love love love him. This role fits him so well. i just love to see him acting those emotionless (?), tragic, immortal (i dont get human desires/problems), life questioning roles. I will look forward of his artist portrayal in "Belmish flaw" for sure. the synopsis does not read like it will end good for him either. our poor man. :D

Maybe thats it, since the latest episodes got all english subs on youtube. They skipped 3 episodes for now S2024 ep. 49, S2025 ep. 1 and ep. 2.
3-6 got subbed, so there is still hope. :)

I get that sometimes glasses make someone hard to recognize at first. but here the glasses are not a prominent feature. NHL i am weak for men with glasses. :D this picture is maybe not perfect but i def did not Luke the last one since it looked so outdated. ( i dont know how old it was though)
