In a previous post, i was to hasty in branding this show and Todays Webtoon as both mediocre. After a more carefull ponderation and some cringe viewing of this show, i dare to proclame that todays webtoon feels like a masterpiece compared to this trainwreck.
It's hard to believe that, with an experience cast and crew, the show producers made such a mess.
Some people noticed that the suport cast is not funny. That's because the humor is very basic and the characters are complety hollow. They just shout and make weird faces. One or two ahjummas are also on Virtuous Business and they are very good in this show, because the writers and director created scenes that show their humanity and personality. They are not just screaming cardboard cutouts.
Others point that something feels off with the main characters. I'm gone focus only on FL. The problem is that they didn't want to spend time developing a character for this show, so they copied sejeong character from uncanny counter with some absurd results for a so called romcom. Maybe it was a deliberate choice from director or producers, but in many "action" scenes she does not seem to be in character but just performing some stunt like in some variety show showing her physical prowess. It's a shame to see actors wasting their talent with such shallow roles.
I like Sejeong but i not a hardcore fan to watch another mediocre show like uncanny counter 2 or todays webtoon. This is such a poorly written show. Trying to copy her character from uncanny and paste it into a romcom with a setting of industrial beer production is just absurd and the result is the weirdest openning 15 minutes in recent kdrama. I miss the witty and quirky Sejeong from business proposal and saddly i not gone see her on this show
The first minutes are kind of weird, like a mix between a beer informational and a action show with a beer strike team. Hallfway through the show and feels like is getting even more off the rails. The story is all over the place and its feels like a sketch show with some random and hysterical townfolk people trying to act funny in every scene. Don't feels like is going to be half as fun as business proposal. After some ff button action until the end, because some scenes are simply too cartonish, i think this is gone be another romcom that i gone drop this year.
Such a brilliant marketing strategy. Let´s make the most weird and horrible poster ever so the show´s turns viral. At least, i hope this was the producers intention, because if this is their vision for the show i fear for the worst ...
This show is on a league of its own right now. The production values and costume design are top tier. The acting is natural and dynamic. The storylines are enganging and have emotional values true to the characters. The direction and editing are amazing, pulling the audience to their world with so much ease. The long performance scenes are so well done that we feel the tension and the energy like we are close to the stage. We don't even notice the time passing because we are truly entertained like on the theatre and sudenlly four episodes fly by.
Only have a question about the development of the FL character (not the actress). Loved how in the first episode, as a child, she is fierce, funny and as strong personality. But from ep 2, as a teen, she loses all personality and apparently a lot of brain cells . She is just another romcom clingy girl following the boys around and smiling a lot at everything that moves. It's a shame that female characters don't deserve from the writers a more complex development
Don't care about mdl ratings. This one is a keeper. Well defined and enganging characters, good balance between comedy and drama, great emsemble cast and solid and clever direction. The first sales "reunion" on episode one is one of the funniest and well performed scenes on drama that i saw this season.
Netflix shows aren't exactly known for being too deep. Most are straightforward entertainment based on trends search pick up by the netflix algorithm. From my vague recolections of the first season, they tried to taylored the show for a more broader international and western audience and one element that stood out for me was the Indiana Jones vibe on the vilans. The japanese baddies on Korea became the nazis of the classic Raiders of the Lost Ark, searching for some ultimate esoteric weapon. It could even be an homage of some sort to these movies, but its so poorly executed, by beeing so cartoon like, that is simply ridicule. Then the show balances these "sinister" cartonish vilans with glorified heroes scenes that seem more like a fashion or music video clip, because they have to squeeze every once of star power from the actors, even if the scenes lack any substance. And then we have part of the recipe to a vacous algoritm based show. But, now the director is worried to lose part of Netflix japanese market and we has to give these kind of interviews.
Even if the director said It was about world peace i would not touch this second season with a stick. This is simple bad entertainment in the worst possible way. Again, the story is incoherent and cartoonish, the characters are shallow, the direction is flashy and hollow. This is just sloppy and lazy entertainment trying to live off their stars power and budget.

The first 20 minutes of the show is mostly scenes without any context, just some shouting and pouting, not a sign of character development, we are simply served with long and empty dialogues on some random network that we don't nothing about and after ten minutes i could't care less. The second half is no better, because the split personality take, in terms of acting and narrative tone, is simply to cartonish and too cringe to watch. Sorry, but no second chance for this one.

Very good casting, but after ep2, my humble opinion is that the actors deserved better material. The writing is very sloppy and inchorent. The characters are not fleshed out and there's a lot of scenes without any context or clear purpose. The humor is to forced and the imagined "funny" takes are becaming repetitive. After so many second rating dramas on the last month, i'm gone stick for more episodes, but not keep my hopes up that the writing will improve.
Very low expectations after so many low budget and failed projects in the last month. It seems they are dumping the "trash" from the networks during the holidays/olympic games just to avoid legal complications and hoping that nobody watches another embarrassing drama
Call me a weirdo, but i like to watch dramas with some kind of a choerent storyline to follow. This one has nothing of that sort, just a bunch off cheesy and flashy scenes hastily put together, trying to resemble some kind of a story with some rich and spoiled kids, portraited by startled young actors strugling to get something out of the shallow characters. I have seen crappy music videos with a more enganging and fluid storyline than this drama and they last only a few minutes and not seven long episodes.
It all feels likes a low budget patchwork of kdrama stereotypes, with a pinch of time traveling elements mixed with some unreal crime fighting task force. Lacks a choerent storyline and has a lot of rushed scenes without proper context. The humor is bland and predictabe. The acting from the suport cast is annoiyng and the romantic scenes are clumsy and poorly executed. Its a mess for a first episode and there's more 15. I'm gone pass this one

One more to drop after ep1. It´s not even slighty funny, it´s filled with cringe splaptstick humour for kids and slopy action scenes with poor CGI. Another kdrama reboot/sequel/spinoff that instead of refreshing the original concept with something new or creative just dumb down the format for new audiences.

Sloppy action scenes with poor CGI and forced humor scenes that bring nothing to the character development. It's just my opinion.
