Building a kids waterslide by the han river would be a better use of money and a more triling ride than this show. What a waste of money, talent and time from the viewers
At least in the two first seasons of penthouse they didin't take it to seriously and even made fun of the caracthers. It was soapy but the story was adctive and the humor was clever. This is just an overdramatic cheesy cringe festival without a clear story to hold on
Never saw the original and just started the series because I recognized the 3 main actors from other good shows. So I was shocked to see the low production levels, the shallow characther development and superficial storylines, especially the school romance that is way too similar to many lowbudget teen drama web series. For me, having older and experience actors playing 17 years high school first love triangle is a waste of talent and of my time. So i droped it on ep3 to spare the life of my fast foward button. More than is a bad or good remake "war", the show overall quality is too poor to invest on the story or characters and it appears to be a new trend. Recently drop more kdramas because of the deliberate choice to dumb down the story and acting and also donwgrade the producion values to that´s good enough it's a wrap.
Don't care if this is a remake or original, but this is surprisingly weak for a 12 episode series with some big names on board. This feels like a cheap web series with very low production values and soapy direction. The school storyline is like any other light teen romance drama with fresh face acting idols. So why have good and experience actors (close to 30 or way above) trying to pull off an 17 high school first love triangle. Gone drop it on ep3 because this all feels off to me.
I think he said earlier that his sister has a child and the husband his M.I.A. But its unclear. I was just making some fun about the endless humor potencial in this storyline
Forget Gone with the wind. The romance addicts will finally have an epic love story for the ages. Unnie guy and Ok Hee promisse a sizzling and torrid love story that will be carved in our tender and fragile hearts for all eternity
I have King Land PTSD and I didn't even finished it. But, just the tought of all the wasted time desperatly looking for a glimpse of a storyline and trembling in fear in the antecipation of another cringe "humor" scene makes my body shiver. So i won't touch another "flufly" RomCom even with a stick for the next decades. Maybe someone could form a KTL PTSD suport group...
Same stupid corny story , same typical characters being dramatic, same cliches n events, Another drama not much…
The cheesy background music is pretty jarring. It's like the producers don't have faith in the actors to convey the right emotion so here's a bit of elevator music for you to stay tunned. The sly reggae guitar music is my new favourite.
I don't get why this show only has a 7.8 rating. Just because it's not romance comedy or because you're sensitive…
For MDL, i think this is a good rating for this show. This is an anomaly, an ironic take on society obession for shallow beauty standards. Many here just look for eye candy on the shows and fast foward in search for the romantic scenes. Then they ask their friends to explain what hapened in the episode because they missed the few scenes that mattered to the story progression. This is just , for me, a weird way of seeing content. What really troubles me is watching users openly bodyshaming actresses because she looks to fat (like a barrel was the actual expressions) to be cast with their favourite idol. So in this context, expecting a better rating for this "weird" show is asking to much unfortunately
The one thing this show doesn't care about... The accuracy of boxing. Very disappointing in that regard when we…
After seeing the trailer where the boxer girl is aparently exausted on the floor of the ring with perfect makeup and without a drop of sweat I didn't had high hopes for realism. Now after ep1, i´m sure this will not get much grittier than this
After ep1 i wonder why the boxing reference in the tittle. The girl could be a juggler or a barista, the sport approach really doesn´t matter on this one. This is more of the same: soapy romantic storyline between a young naive girl and a tortured middle age dude who lost is way in the world. So its a hit, unless they kill the vampire on the end...
After seeing so many waterdown and cliched "funny moments" in kdrama recently, this is very refreshing. Its not perfect yet, but this show is not afraid of chasing the absurd and it has really funny characters and trully wild humor. Ep3 it's the best until now. The story pace is better, the townfolk jokes are much sharper, the storyline of the new BFF boyfriend is hilarious and the sequence of the walking windowsill is visualy ludicrous and outright funny.
Don't get me wrong, but are the production team trying to sell a gym membership or the drama and cast potencial. Is this how they promote an talented actress: "flawless posture stood out, fitting perfectly with the current phrase 'her form is insane". Talk about objectification ...
Saw the two first episodes and this is promissing. Good story flow, creative editing and smart cinematroghapy, matching the mood of the characters. So i guess this is like the Picture of Dorian Gray turn upside down and on steroids. It's gone be a hard pill to swalow for more flufly kdramas fans. Also, Lee Han Byul deserves credit on this site.
They just erased my review back from episode ep3, where i pointed out the absurd story development. Ooops. And here i tought that nobody was watching this drama. Is this is a new trend for shows with "steady viewership" hoping MDL will fix their ratings?
Are mdl gone fix the ratings on this one to. Maybe there's an iluminatti conspiracy that brainstorm the writers to came with a nonsensical ending for this one
