Zhang Ruonan and her character Wen Yifan is so beautiful. I'm not talking about just physically. She is resilient and strong in the face of adversity even if she's more delicate on the inside. The girl is a survivor when the world keeps throwing things at her. She reminded me of the lotus flower, a symbol of overcoming adversity. Even in the murky waters, the plant can survive and a flower is able to bloom. Through it all, she is still kind and gentle. And as already shown in the series, Sang Yan is the sun in her life. If Yifan is the lotus flower, then Yan is the sun that helps her warm up after the rainy moments and gives her the light she needs. While the pacing of the series may not be for everyone, I greatly enjoyed the time it took to craft the story and characters. Beautiful story, beautiful characters, beautiful acting, beautiful cinematography, and beautiful music. Beautiful job to cast and crew!
