As someone who's been watching BLs since 2016, A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills' Dream is now my favorite BL of all time.
I usually love darker, more toxic BLs, but there's something about this one that just fills me with happiness and leaves me smiling. And don't even get me started on how beautiful it is the cinematography is breathtaking. The OST is absolutely beautiful, and i genuinely listen to it and sing to it every single day.
Almost overnight, it went from being one of my favorite BLs to becoming my number one.
Director Wen Dao, please make another BL because Deep In is simply too good.
The cinematography, the music, the behind-the-scenes content, the pacing—everything was so well done. And don't even get me started on the post-credit scene.
If they were able to create something this incredible with a limited budget, it really makes me wonder what Chinese BLs could achieve with big budgets.
