What a tragic story. I was cussing out the writers for trying to squeeze out a happy ending until Lu Feng got…
A winter Sun is not toxic and is such a beautiful bl.
A lot of Chinese BLs aren't toxic at all. It's just that the few toxic ones tend to get the most attention because people enjoy them, making it seem like most Chinese BLs are toxic when they really aren't.
I thought this was a well done adaptation of the novel. The novel is dark and toxic for sure, and even though…
Well said 👏👏the novel was dark.
People need to really check their dictionary and check what toxic means or just google. Toxic is toxic simple. Bittersweet Love will be out this Friday and you will see them complain again about how toxic it is.
Toxic is toxic and most of those complaining about the toxicity haven't even watched other nontoxic bls especially those coming from China.
Someone said Double Helix is seriously underrated, and the first thing that popped into your head was, "So you're saying rape is underrated?" ..........................REALLY? Ay, Dios mío
For someone who supposedly dropped Double Helix, you sure spend a lot of time camping in the comments. Maybe accept that people can appreciate a story without endorsing every action in it. Calling a work underrated isn't the same as praising every event that happens in the plot.
*sigh* Why do i keep coming back here 😭😭some of these rage-bait comments are just exhausting…
Awwwwwwwwwwww 7.9 you guys! You can keep rating it low if you want.
Addicted, the OG toxic BL one of the most successful BLs ever, sits at around 7.7 on MDL even A Round Trip to Love, has ratings of 6.9 and 6.8 for Parts 1 and 2. ABO Desire was rated 7.8 because the second couple didn't have enough screen time.
Thankfully, MDL ratings don't determine a show's success or erase the incredible work the cast and crew put into it. I'm just happy Ayden and Elio are finally getting the recognition they deserve.
What matters is that the actors in Double Helix absolutely nailed their roles. Ayden and Elio delivered phenomenal performances, the cinematography was gorgeous, the soundtrack elevated every scene, and the overall execution was excellent. Praise the acting, directing, cinematography, and music—not whether you personally like the characters.
And please, enough with the "China should not adapt OG abusive Chinese bls or novels" Girl some of us WANT toxic BLs. We are still waiting for Addicted to get another adaptation and for Irresistible Love to be adapted. Not every BL has to be wholesome, green flags, and healthy relationships. Fiction is allowed to explore darker themes. I wouldn't even mind if China remake HIStory Obsessed which is a toxic Taiwanese bl.
If toxic BLs aren't for you, that's perfectly fine. But for those of us who enjoy dark, messy, morally complex stories, Double Helix delivers exactly what it promised.
I also find it childish when people from other bl fandoms deliberately rate a series low.
Like the rating is disappointing. The actors gave their all to bring this dark show to life. 7.9 seriously? Like…
My dear don't allow it get to you, it's not like the ratings here mean anything. What matters is the boys are happy in real life. People here use emotions to rate they forget it is a movie.
mercy, this friday is super extra busy, so many new dramas out with multiple episodes
Deep In, A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills' Dream, Don't Be Too Emotional, The Edge of Horizon, Ticket to Heaven and Payback have been keeping me pretty busy.

Another bl i really want from China is one about 2 members from a Chinese boy group in a secret relationship.
Like the one we got in Kiss × Kiss × Kiss: Melting Night (ep 7) the kiss between Ryuga and On was so hot.
The aggressive kissing at the end of episode 1 of The Prosecutor's Proposal was crazy LOL
They are so beautiful arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
