This page is littered with nutty fans of one of the leads who react and spit venom to the production especially…
Here’s what I don’t understand. Wasn’t MJTY, one of 2023’s most popular dramas with fans and critics? Did the FL win a couple of awards? So how can he be a very bad director???
Does anyone else find themselves rooting for Kang Ja Kyung over Heesoo? She is the birth mother and was unfairly treated. If she were just after money then I could understand HeeSoo’s position better. But give the woman her son back and ask if you can remain in his life. That would be the fairer more honest thing to do.
It seems like they’re having reshoots because CX now is back on set. https://youtube.com/shorts/rgaV-4Q7rIM?si=3wq4WoGichpyoLha She’s in the middle of filming Asia Super Young and two photo shoots. Oh well….I hope this show is one of the most watched and loved when it’s released because the entire crew is working hard and the stills have been beautiful.
On a different note, I’m very happy that Shi Hui is the makeup artist. She did a stellar job on My Journey to You!

Like I wrote in the review, I tried to watch episode 2 and was willing to update the review if the show improved.…
That’s fair, however, I also think that in today’s busy world it’s reasonable to know within 45m if you’re going to like something. That was certainly true for Weiyoung, FIYS, and others. If you’re saying that MJTL gets better around episode 10 or so then maybe I’ll give it another try after I retire.
Did you write this review and give that rating after watching only one episode?
Like I wrote in the review, I tried to watch episode 2 and was willing to update the review if the show improved. It didn’t. I tried to get my husband to watch it because he really liked The Princess Weiyoung. He was bored after the first 15 minutes.
Hmm…this feedback about her being a mean girl sounds like Hater Army propaganda to me. The Entertainment Industry can be very competitive and I think rivals often try to push themselves to the top by breaking down others.
Everything that I have read about her on Instagram, YouTube and News sites states that she’s a very, very, very nice person who is able to provide honest, helpful feedback. https://youtu.be/1tdCAl50PLk?si=gys7oKPddcfgbPCZ
I know that her personal life is tough.
Apparently, her parents went through a messy divorce that left CX as the main provider for her mother and little sister. Her mom has also been seriously ill (the rumor is that it’s cancer) and CX is responsible for paying all of her health bills. I think money issues are also why she hasn’t been able to afford a strong PR team. The stress is so great that even though CX broke her foot a few months ago, she could not take the time off to properly heal because she needed to make money so she competed in S7 of Chinese Restaurant mostly without crutches or a wheelchair. In addition, she didn’t want to burden her teammates so she would come into work early so that she didn’t slow them down. https://youtu.be/rSGye3Vwt60?si=o8k0huBmuZ5tmCa3
She also stays away from relationships, and has stated that her parents’ divorce left her with trust issues. That’s not surprising. However, that also means that she doesn’t play along with the standard way that men in the industry might expect. In the US, that usually leads to women being branded as cold and difficult. I don’t know how it is in China.
Bottom line for me is that this woman is as beautiful as any Hollywood icon from the 1950s and 60s, and she’s insanely talented. She even learned how to do figure skate in less than six months to the point that she performed a senior level layback spin. I hope she becomes as big a star in China and in Hollywood as Zhang Ziyi was in the early 2000s.
She’s one of my all-time favorite beauties and she made her mark, accordingly, in Hollywood. From a beauty perspective, I think that Cheng Xiao is one who has inherited her title. Both women have the “it” factor that one attributes to cinema beauties like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly
